Little tip while doing the Fel Orc Scaengers quest .. as a druid, if u pounce the raiders, the wolf wont spawn :)

Pulling the Raider with any incapacitating spell or ability will prevent him from spawning his wolf, making the fight a fair bit easier.

Spells which have been verified to prevent it include a Mage's polymorph (you can immediately break it), and any stunning ability (Pounce, Charge, Cheap Shot, etc).
Presumably pulling with other mechanics (fear, charm, silence, etc) will also prevent the spawn, but I haven't seen verification of this (please comment!)

If you open with a Cheapshot you dont get the wolf either.

A warrior's charge (haven't checked intercept) also prevents the wolf from appearing.

I assume intercept prevents the spawn as well, if so possibly a Warlock's Felguard Intercept (it was a felguard right?) would prevent it from appearing as well.

there is a way to block the wolf from spawning when you aggro a raider, just start the battle with a felguard's intercept, warrior's/drood bare's charge, etc.

it is be useful because it doesnt drop any noticeable items or xp

Hilarious discovery. As a mage, polymorph him. Hit him with one wand blast, wait for him to come right up to you. He WILL NOT attack you, yet you can gank him. He never gets off the wolf.

Another funny thing - if you sap the orc then he summons the wolf. BUT If you then vanish - this is as a roguethen the wolf runs back to him and he mounts up on a SEPARATE wolf then the released wolf follows him round.

What I do is kill off him and then Shadowmeld, the wolf despawns.

My main is a druid in hellfire. I just got the bonechewer blood quest. i found if you go into cat form and pounce the Raiders BEFORE they get off their mount/pet, the mount/pet will disapper. Without their pet these guys suck...

As a mage if you morph them, their pets don't attack.

If your first action disables them, they will dismount but never resummon the wolf. Also works with a rogue's cheap shot. I havn't seen this work on other mounted units in the area though :(

hit these guys with a stun opener and they dismount without calling out their annoying pets, which give no exp and and no loot or cash

so...
