Definitely has more than just 39K HP. I went with a druid tank and he slaughtered us. This guy hits like a train. You will want to take a healer OR TWO with you when you attack this guy.

During a 1-hour AFK break from Magtheridon's Lair, a group of 15 of us went and raided Honor Hold, and we killed Trollbane.

Can be killed.He has ~931k HP,but can be easily kited.So I(hunter 70lvl) easily "tanked" him.
And well to compare:
Magni Bronzebeared has ~1,3mln HP
Danath Trollbane has ~931k HP.
Not a big difference in HP and Trollbane is 65lvl elite and Magni is ??lvl Leader.

Danath can be killed (after a few minutes of waiting) if you manage to kite Fel soldiers/Wrath master combo to HH.
It takes a while, and one might even die, but they kill him eventually.
Pretty interesting to watch too :P

Just a little lore on this guy, Danath was one of the soldiers who went through the dark portal during the second war, and was trapped in Draenor (Outland now) when it was closed. He had a New York accent in Warcraft 2.

Killed this guy with 4 people (Frost mage, Hunter, Tank, Holy Priest) in the room he stands in without any kiting. He does have about 950,000 hp as stated above, but he hits like a little girl against a tank and dozens of adds that repeatedly spawns are super squish for mage aoe. Some ret pally got brave when i was taking on all the adds, but the gy is closeby and it just let me get full hp and mana. Anyone know what it is that he says in common when you kill him? There is a screenie below.

Eghan - Fenris. Myself Johnwaynne and Kreslin just 3 man'd this guy it was a 12 minute fight. Johnwaynne tanked in arms spec with his shield and main hand...kreslin only healed and I dps'd him..hunters take chance at this...this spec is flawless for survival spec. Check it out Eghan from Fenris.

If you are unable to talk to Force Commander Danath then you need to do the quest chain below as well. The below quest chain will allow you to accept quests from Danath.

¤ Through the Dark Portal
¤ Arrival in Outland
¤ Journey to Honor Hold
¤ Force Commander Danath

Just a little thought, he says if he ever returns to Azeroth, he'll restore Stromgarde to its former glory. Something for an upcoming content patch? I'd like to see it happen:)

He is one of the only two npc's in the game with "sons of lothar" in their guild or faction label. The other npc being Khadgar in shat.

I have a dream... and maybe in cataclysm, this dream become true.

Just to add: Blizz could work on some more instances to Caverns of Time, maybe 2 dozens or 3.

This guy is on routine kill on Ursin. I watched at 80 Prot Pally kill him, barely losing health, although it took a few minutes. A little irritating after the first few times as I just want to turn a quest in...

As it turns out Danath Trollbane's statue in the Stormwind Valley of Heroes was destroyed by Deathwing. It was the only statue to be destroyed.

And it turns out that he havent bothered to return to Arathi Highlands yet and lead his subjects of Stromgarde out of misery, while Kurdran Wildhammer can managed to relive his outland duties.

League of Arathor have lost their prince, Thoradin's Walls.

Basically, with Arathi in such a bad shape, the alliance would grant his wishes whenever he wanted.

Pity that Danath has lost his hero status to his own people.

Go in the castle then left (or right), right (or left) around wall, left (or right) to stairs, up stairs and left (or right)then up ramp back towards center and into room. It's simpler then it sounds

Not sure what the deal is here, but I'm a lvl 62 Mage, and can't get the quest yet. I have a lvl 62 Paladin friend that just did the quest. The mark above his head (Trollbane) is gray to me, so I guess I have to wait till lvl 63? Paly's get it sooner?
I guess only Blizzard knows for sure....

No, you get it from a letter, that drops from some big demon, dont remember the name.
It is availabe at level 58.

Kinda makes me mad that there's no good reward for Hunters. The only mail piece is for Shamans, as are most quest rewards around Hellfire.
