Do not fear the 500 resistance buff and 600% melee damage increment, the AI of these old mind-controls do not really pose much threat as the only damage he would do is melee hit (dangerous as long this is a hard hitting weapon -caster daggers are not) around 1500 per swing and the for another 1500 damage (partially resistable).

If the player is on low health this would simply force the mind-controlled to use heals if able on himself and not on the boss -meaning if you are trying to 2 man this with a friend, even if the healer gets turned he will simply heal himself and try deal some minor damage to who ever is closer, if your friend is a tank this is not a problem if the boss is on low health.

(2-manned the entire instance with a Druid and Death Knight on Cataclysm beta. Don't worry, even if I got turned we still managed -thank got the AI is dumb!)

Players get turned into this "mob" when they have all 5 Brood Afflictions in the Chromaggus encounter in Blackwing Lair.

Please note that higher level players will be much more dangerous when transformed. I was running this with me(83blood dk), a 85 prot pally, 85 spriest, 78 unholy dk. Transformed me and I proceeded to annihilate the party in seconds. One melee hit was as high as 55k.
