Let's say a standard 2 second cast spell is used and 3 Instant Casts with a 1.5 second GCD (the more spells you use under 2 seconds, the better this will be. The more Haste you have the lower your GCD and the better this will be). This is just to gauge the idea of an average use.

Over a standard ~8m fight you would save ~27500 mana (once again, will be more the more Haste and Instants you use).

A different scenario, a "best case" scenario, where a Druid might blanket Rejuv and a Holy Priest might spam Renew so that the entire 20 seconds is used with Instant Cast spells would like like...

That saves 10625 or makes the trinket worth ~440 MP5. Over a standard 8m fight you would save ~42500 mana.

So in conclusion, depending on many variables like Haste and amount of Instant Casts used, this trinket can net you somewhere between ~25000 - 45000 mana on boss encounters.

Tbch, if i lost this to a dps, i would be pissed. In the case of , it should only got to Arcane mages, because of their mastery, but there arent any dps specs that use holy spells, cept Ret......and theres boomkins, which i dont think have mana problems. This is an awesome healer trinket, plan on getting with guildies!

I see it as a fantastic possibility for Resto Shaman when doing a lightning bolt spam for recovery through Telluric Currents. This would result in a greater net gain through reduced cost of the Lightning Bolts, as well as the regular mana gain through the talent.

I definitely can see a use for this trinket in boss fights where there is a point you can just spam the LB's...

Constricting trinket use to only Telluric Current spam would likely reduce your mana gains from this trinket simply from not being able to activate it on cooldown every time. Furthermore, I don't know shamans very well, but you'd probably be able to pump out more casts per second healing (in a certain way just to invoke trinket stacks) than spamming lightning bolt, which isn't a very fast spell (Chain heal w/ Riptide on CD would be more casts per second).

Notice how the buff you get by activating this is called 大捷. I love the smell of mana cost reduction in the morning.

Should be noted that casting penance with this active gives you three stacks. Doing this with Borrowed Time or Power Infusion (Or both) active will give you three stacks in under two seconds.

Holy priest, COH gives 6 stacks (glyphed.) This heroic version would give an instance -725 mana cost to all spells in one COH global. Toss a POH and bam, -1250 mana cost per spell in approx. 3 secs. Giving you 17 secs of mana savings!

Disc priest two POH cast and your in the zone. Just by looking at cast patterns, I can easy save 8k per cd. Is this trinket uber, it's so so for priest. Something like 20k mana in savings is easily attainable.

As it stands I've healed two 25 man hardmodes and my mana just manages to make it ....just barely. In tier 11 gear getting this trinket may give me a bit more wiggle room.

Seems the trinket was hotfixed, AoE spells like CoH and Chain Heal no longer add multiple stacks, but Penance DOES give you three stacks if you wait a GCD before casting it.

Excellent for Holy priests with Rapid Renewal or Resto druids with their similar talent, you can get 10 stacks in 10 seconds by spamming Renew/Rejuv.

I got this on my H Pally and I noticed that on H Rags attempts I'm at about 75-80k mana at the transition and 60-65k at the phase change for seeds (before divine plea gets used). Where as before I had to hit plea while running to stack for the adds because I was already at 45-50k just healing the transition.

It makes a difference, I just wouldn't recommend changing your play style for it. I just bind it to divine light and let it do its thing without really worrying about the stacks.

Still an excellent trinket into Heroic Dragon Soul as it has both a hefty amount of static int and a mana reduction component. I'm still using mine, partially because I haven't had any luck with other trinket drops (other than HoU which I am also using), and partially because Jaws is just still pretty good.
