This is going to be one wicked tank trinket for any tank, even the non-heroic version is very nice.

First of all, 650stamina is quite alot even by today's standards, so that's nice.

Secondly, is there a cap to the healing this trinket can store? Because technically, if there weren't, you'd have a free Lay on Hands every now and then if healers would adapt (and their mana, of course, could stand it) and overheal the person wearing the trinket.

Equip: Stores up to 7000 additional health from spells which heal you for more than your maximum health

So to note 2 things:

1. It caps at 7k hp (6.2k normal version) (still not a shabby amount considering that one heal is effectively giving you a free one to use at your own discretion)

2. It is only overhealing that seems to get collected.

Effectively, this trinket is taking mana (healer)/health that would otherwise be wasted and turning it into a neat little self heal!

My question is would this healing stockpile effect activate from mastery/talent overheal (Echo of Light, Guarded by the Light, etc.)

650 Stamina ? In one trinket ? OMG. In Classic, only tanks and warlocks had a chance to have a total of 6500 HP ...

Does this work for healing given by Death Strike? Might be good to lead off with it and the trinket can store the overheal.

I suggest Eye of Awareness instead, heals for around 4k, has a short (?) internal cooldown, while this relies on Overhealing, and has an activated cooldown of 2 minutes.

Looks like the self heal has been buffed, up to almost 20k every min. Much more useful.

Death Knights are going to love this item because;

Overheal produced by Death Strike will be stored by this tiem.
On-use effect is affected by any ability that increased your healing taken.
Since on use effect have 1 minute cooldown you can combine it with the Vampiric Blood to heal yourself for 24103 HP if you're not glyphed or 26996 HP if you're glyphed your Vampiric Blood.
On use healing effect has a chance to be a critical heal.
It has friggin +650 Stamina!

Any idea if this can crit heal? 200% heal from crit would be nice, Obv tanks would only have around 5% crit from raid buff (as far as I'm aware) but would be nice to know.

I really don't see what it is that is so great with a 17k heal every minute if you're a 210k+ HP tank, who's primary job is to tank Heroic mobs that usually hit like trucks. The stamina on the Heroic version is awesome, I'll give it that. But the use effect is .. well.. useless when compared to the two trinkets we got from BoT and BWD.

I'll probably keep away from this one for a while, unless someone comes up with a compelling argument for why I (as a warrior) should buy this trinket.

I'm assuming this works out of combat, so it may also be a good tactic to over heal your tank by 20k just before going into a fight and then sitting and drinking. This means you've effectively got a 17-19k heal with no mana cost.

That's providing it can work like that, someone correct me if I'm wrong...

My goal was to get the most efficient use out of my new Scales of Life trinket by using Power Auras to track a couple of things:

1 - Is the trinket off it's 1 minute CD?
2 - Is the trinket buff fully stacked (17,095 healing)?

If both conditions are true, show me an aura letting me know I can use the trinket at will.
