The searchlight is similar in nature to the banners from the Argent Tournament. It's placed on the ground and lasts 2.5 minutes. The beam of light is suprisingly long and eye-catching, and rotates around slowly, making a very soft "rusty groan" sound.

This item does NOT detect stealth at all. This is just a cool little item you could use to distract others in battle.

Most of the trinkets from Tol Barad really suck, so if you bought them as an upgrade, considering how long you'd have been playing to hit exalted without getting anything better (which includes most 346 heroic trinkets for your class/spec) then you're probably a bad whose only thought about gear is 'duh, purple means it's better'.

Still trying to decide between this and the seagull...hmmm...then once I have both, since I have both mounts already I can stop doing this awful, poorly designed battle! Though I'm tempted to buy the grunt trinket just to have the grunt following me on his spectral wolf when I'm on mine messing around...

This item has a curiously high sell price of 62g 50s. The most efficient choice if you're done purchasing other items and wish to turn your commendations in to money. Simply leave it in your inventory for 2 hours then collect your gold from the nearest vendor.

Love this thing, don't regret buying it before anything else. Lasts for 2.5 mins, 5 minute cooldown. Awesome to just drop in raids, or anywhere. Totally worth the points, recommended to anyone.

This has to be my favourite in-game item, ever. I think it's the uselessness that I find so charming.

I like to drop it either in TB or Org and yell, "Revel in the awesomeness that is the searchlight as it shines into your very soul!"

You have 2 hours to return this item for a full refund so if you are on the fence about getting it, just buy it try it out and then return it. I tried it, its very nice, but I returned it so I could try out the Baridin Grunt's Talisman. If you run Tol Barad enough times of course you could eventually keep both but until then its nice to be able to return them (within 2 hours).

I'm thinking this would be fun to use in a BG like Arathi Basin to signal "Incoming Farm" or something to that effect. Or in WSG for a stealthy recon player to "point" where the hiding flag carrier is.
