Presently, at least for Paladin tanks, this is one of the best trinks in the game outside of non-epic items. If you've stacked any parry at all (one of your basic tanking stats) and add this trink, it will be proc'ing nearly every 60 seconds, which adds an extra 12 seconds of 1710 dodge rating - a huge increase if you're not avoidance capped (impossible currently even in full 359 epics with reforging). This trink, paired with the heroic version of Leaden Despair due to the sheer stam increase are a great combo for entry-level raiding.

Once you start to get into raiding, good upgrades for the items above are Symbiotic Worm (I'd choose that over Vial of Stolen Memories due to the fact that Symbiotic Worm has an equipped proc, rather than a use effect, and mastery is more useful than dodge unless you are avoidance capped.) and Mirror of Broken Images. Why Mirror? "It's a PvP trink!" you say? Look at the stats on it. Do you see any resilience? /irestmycase.

I have doing GB for two weeks now and he is not dropping his finger. It should be a 100% drop rate unless his hands were missing >_<

It should not have 600% drop chance. He will not drop a finger that is still a part of him. It has to be cut off or, in any other way, detached. In order to drop.
Makes sense?

I think the number of Druid tanks (and aspiring druid tanks) going after this trinket is something worth addressing, as I've seen it taken away from a plate tank twice now, so I just want to state:

This trinket is also BiS for avoidance build DKs, even through heroic raids, it's BiS. The mastery build isnt the only viable build for DKs....

The effect animation should be knocking aside a blow with a giant finger, then trying to hide behind it for 12 seconds.

This is a nice tank trinket, but since the release of HoT it is no longer pre-raid BIS; that honour now (arguably) belongs to 谎言的面纱.

If I asked Blizzard to design the perfect bad trinket, this would be the outcome. The only way to make it worse (with a real proc/stats) would be for the proc to be parry rating, too.
