The new JC tank gem, giving twice as much Stamina as it's WOTLK equivalent.

Note, that 'Unique-Equipped (3)' means you can wear only 3 of these gems. It doesn't count gems in your inventory/bank.

When you get this gem IN-GAME, its also show:

Reuires Item Level: 285

--> Blizzard made this recruitment - so only ppl with Cata can use them.
I was sad when I saw this, coz my 70 lvl twink will not be able to socket this sweetie :(

I hope it gets buffed later. Current blue Solid adds 60 stam, which means the advantage of using Solid Chimera is (101-60) x 3 = 123 stam.

However, Mining now adds 120 stam at highest skill level. Which means the old popular combo of JC/Smith for tanks over Mining/Smith is only 3 stamina. Once the epic gems come out the advantage would be completely gone. Assuming epic Solid gem adds 67/74/80 stam (if progresses like green/perfect green/blue), Chimera would only be 102/81/63 more stam.

Using two production professions should really have advantage over one production + one harvest, otherwise why should people spend all those extra time and money only to get that little advantage?

If you remember they also buffed the JC only gems when they brought out epic gems in wotlk just to scale their value with the current highest ones available....
