As a shammy healer, it's disappointing to see that there is no crit/spirit or haste/spirit combo. The closest thing to a healer-specific gem is the 20 spirit/20 mastery cut...and I'm currently avoiding mastery as I feel that in early raiding, I sacrifice too much in other stats for the benefits to shine through.

With the changes to mana in Cataclysm, fast regen is once again king for healers. I would have loved a crit/spirit combo for max mana regen in a yellow socket. The green gems seem to be geared exclusively towards tanks/dps at the moment.

Just mined one from an Obsidium vein in Mount Hyjal.

I don't know what the drop rate would be, but I don't remember blues dropping from Cobalt (since Obsidium is supposed to be the new Cobalt)

Hopefully, the Wowhead client will help posting more info about these gems soon

The dream emeralds, amberjewels, and to a lesser extent the ocean sapphires are almost completely worthless. We have almost 300 of each type in our guild bank, and NOTHING to do with them. We thought about using the amberjewels to make the bloodthirsty rings to DE, but with the cost of the volatile waters, you actually lose money over simply buying a heavenly shard off the AH.

We need to be given a recipe with cheap mats for DEing so we can use up these useless gems without having to resort to simply vendoring them to save space.

Could use an efficient dump for the stacks of these that build up from prospecting.

Smashing into three Jasper would be useful.

In fact, smashing any blue gem into three greens would be even more useful...

You also have a chance of receiving this item in a 一包神秘的异域物品. You can get the Satchel by que'ing for a Cata Heroic Dungeon by yourself only when the Dungeon Finder shows that you can get the Satchel.
