This is actually very good for awhile, only 2 items are better than this(for warriors at least). And if you are a fury warrior you do not need the 4 set so getting these and the frost gauntlets would be great!

Aether is a form of the greek word ether, which refered to the ancient Greek personification of the clear upper air of the sky. Judging from that defenition, I'd say that these refer to some sort of sky-bound combat. Fitting since they drop from Sindragosa with her many air phases.

For Warriors in 10m guilds that are having a hard time with Sindragosa the Ivory-Inlaid Leggings from BQL might be a good alternative since they are much easier to get your hands on. They are leather though, meaning you'll have to elbow past any rogues/druids in your group before you can get your hands on these.
The trade off on Ivory-Inlaid vs Aetherific seems to be less ArP and AP in exchange for more crit through both rating and Agi.
