Compared to other available tanking belts:

- The Indestructible Belt is superior in almost every aspect, except from the defense departement. No matter from which you upgrade from using the IB, you will lose from 11 to 21 defense rating.

- The cost is not negligeable neither, the IB costs, amongst other mats, 6 Runed Orbs (18*6=108) which is 108 EoC and the Shieldwarder costs 28 EoC. Which makes the Shieldwarder more readily available even if your guild supplies the Orbs.

- This belt is a good upgrade from anything you can get from Naxx 25 or Ulduar 10. It may not be as good as the Indestructible Belt but it is easier to get and also the loss of defense is not as noticeable.

Unfortunately, this is the best tanking belt for new tanks in 3.3. There's really nothing else between this and ToC/Icecrown raiding.

It seems to be, in general, tougher to gear your tank than it is to gear your DPS (I just geared my hunter in about 1 day /played to 4.9k GS with "perfect" stats, i.e hit-capped and all other items being items with stats for a hunter so no PVP-items or anything), but for my warrior it seems I'm not going to be able to do what I did on my hunter, which was basically getting half the stuff from the instances and half the stuff from badges, and instead get essentially only stuff with badges, which sucks especially when you have to downgrade the badges. There also seems to be a general lack of shields outside of raiding as well, which is a shame.

Either way, that belt you mention costs 60 Emblem of Frost, that's 30 days of solid farming for a non-raider, and while it's obviously vastly superior, you also have to consider that there might be other things you need from Emblems of Frost, like the cape, or the trinket, so in the end, I'd probably take this belt, save my emblems for the cloak or trinket, both of which there's a distinct lack of without raids (at least with an iLevel above 226, and in the case of trinkets, a trinket with a stat like stamina, I'm not one of the tanks that gem purely for stamina and skip avoidance, I have about 50% avoidance unbuffed and 31k HP, and 17% block, but the trinket-slots is where, in my opinion, there should be stamina, and lots of it), but then again, we can't have it all I guess, it is kinda easy already.

As a person who have played a warrior since release (and now being a casual), I'd take this belt and save my Emblem of Frost for the trinket, or maybe, maybe, the cloak, but that's just me.
