It pains me that so much of the gear itemised as 'general caster' gear only has Haste/Spellpower on it.

It coulda have been improved with critical strike rating and perhaps even Hit rating.

At least having some critical strike rating on it would be nice.

Sorry spirit, mp5, and haste are just pathetic for an epic caster neck. Esp with the lacking of hit and crit in WOTLK, there is rly no excuse for why this necklace is so pathetic. As a caster you'd want the crit rating on the healer one any day over some @#$%ty spirit. Flaminturkey is a @#$%^& if he thinks mana regen is better then dps to a dps caster.

Say what you will about it for DPS, but these are the ideal stats for a Resto Druid if you aren't haste capped.

Would you consider this necklace as a Balance Druid if you were hit capped?
Im not sure if I should spend my emblems on this neck or save them for the cloth/leather caster belt.

This isnt really ment for dps casters. this seems to be strongly aimed at holy priests and resto druids.

Edit: actually this also looks quite good for arcane mages and warlocks. for mages ele shams boomkins etc. id probablly go with something different to this or the other badge neck. Unfortunately blizzard had to put mp5 on the other neck basically making it exclusive to resto shamans and maybe disc priests. And the people who are posting things like this is weird that this caster piece doesnt have hit again its not necessarily only for them it has absolutely perfect stats for holy priests and resto druids. The other conquest neck is horrid for resto druids and holy priests.

@nubtrain first spirit/mp5/haste... umm no it all depends on how long the fight is but as a priest thats holy you want throughput stats because you have so many ways of gaining your mana back and spellpower and haste helps them become even more powerful raid healers. Crit for holy at the moment is barely useful, since holy concentration only works on empowered renew greater heal and flash heal and as a raid healer you wont necessarily use those spells that much, surge of light is a bit situational since it only gives you a free flash heal but it is pretty good. So it really depends but for holy mp5 is a horrible stat it has too high of a weight and spirit gives throughput as well as regen making it much better. Then overall these are ideal stats for a holy priest, a resto druid, affliction warlock, arcane mage, 53 fire 18 arcane mage, and its also decently good for a boomkin with 3.12 changes. Spirit ends up being a better stat for all dps casters then mp5 because they get some kind of bonus for it to their damage except for elemental shamans.

Nah thats not true at all, hatse does effect instant casts its a very common misconception yeah ik blah blah blah human reaction time but i can click faster then the global cooldown easily. so if ur fast then the lower global cooldown is very helpful. Yeah seriously I can out click the global cooldown when bloodlust is up. Redordead i doubt you have any idea about your class. Latency doesnt have anything to do with making haste good it actually makes it worse because you lag. You should have &*!@ing quartz anyways so it really doenst make a difference. Haste is second to spellpower in throughput for healing there's no way to argue that untrue unless you have ridiculously high haste and your suffering from the diminishing returns.

Its perfect for Arcane mage...The spirit increases crit, plus if the mage uses molten armor glyph it stacks off of spirit.

As a destruction warlock, I am happy with the stat allocation this neck recieved. 25 Ulduar level caster gear doesn't have enough haste (Warlock full 8.5 set only has 107), so I am happy to take haste over crit whenever possible. However, I cannot recommend any of the other Conquest Emblem cloth gear. The rest of it is just plain bad. Especially when the prices of Runed Orbs are dropping and there are Best in Slot belts that are within reach for the majority of raiders (or those with moderately deep pockets).

Only necklace a starting out resto druid should look at :D. Rest have 0 spirit or drops in raids
