1000g (assuming you have the original signet as it is required) for this upgrade. The updated version will give you
+6 Stam
+4 Int
+1 crit
+10 haste
+7 spell dmg
Compared to the original. Not too bad of an upgrade if you don't mind spending the gold or already have a better ring.

This will be the second best ring as soon as the patch comes out for Arcane mages. Rawr shows this as 25.9 dps less than Signet of Manifested Pain but 13.5 dps above Band of Channeled Magic.

One of the new vendor bought rings available in 3.1 from the vendor in dalaran. The price is supposed to be 1000g more expensive than the previous rings making it cost 9500g. (7800g at exalted (6800g + 1000g) )

For 25man raiders this ring outside the teleport:dalaran function, is still inferior to the ilvl 226 - 232 rings offered by heroic ulduar and the respective ilvl 239 hard mode loots. There should be some way to somehow upgrade this to ilvl 226, even if I have to part with a number of emblems of conquest for such an upgrade, I wouldn't mind.

Obviously you can't equip two of either ring, but could you equip both https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=45691 and https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=40585 at the same time if you had the money to blow?

As a mage, I find this ring completely pointless to purchase.

Complete waste of 6,800g (exalted with Kirin Tor). Unless you have that kind of gold to throw around I wouldn't say any of them are worth buying, even after they are upgraded.

i got signet of kirin tor and cash but i have no clue how to upgrade it i have been to the vendor that sells it but no option to upgrade it there

It seems that the itemlevel was increased by 12 in wow classic for Ulduar release. This means that these rings are BiS pre Ulduar raid gear! The reason behind this might be the general itemlevel increasement in Ulduar. To keep the ring relevant, they also increased the itemlevel of this item. Question is, will the following rings also be increased in ilvl?
