I think this is a wait and see item as its gonna cost a lot in matts or take a while to farm them with the 20h cooldown on smelting titansteel and the fact that on my server 10 titansteel comes to around 1300g, so i suppose it depends on what other options are available and how easy they are to get hold of. Still if you gem it well you can get 107 sp which is a decent amount but i just wish the mp5 was crit.

also i wonder what the mystery ingredient is

Will this be an Ulduar drop recipe? Seems as if it might be, as the previous poster mentioned runed orbs.

At least this gear has stats on it, unlike the completely useless Brilliant Tistansteel garbage. I also believe that Blizzard plans to make MP5 relevant again through tuning, as they seem to be pretty stubborn about making all this pally gear with MP5 over crit or haste. Although common conception is that Int, Sp to around 2100, crit and haste all are superior to mp5, with the nerfing of Divine Plea and Blizzards direct statements about how they dont want mana to be a nonissue for pallies, I feel that the likelyhood of them making MP5 relevant in Ulduar is high.

Great Belt though, if this is simply learned at the trainers or through rep I will be stoked.

The double socket + belt socket is what makes this belt awesome IMO. 3 60 Int gems will give this baby a grand total of 122 Int before talents, which is a good 39 Int gain over https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=40691. You lose this nice crit bonus, but you make up with that with a fair amount of MP5, Int, and obviously nice spellpower bonus over the faithful ol' badge belt.

It is in no way worth taking 6 orbs from other raiders to craft this PoS belt with too much mp5 and no crit. Sure the 3 sockets are nice but not 6 runed orbs nice.

My offspec is holy and it seems that no one ever mentions the use of JoW when going OOM. --I've been healadin for a too short amount of time to even consider myself a healadin (I haven't healed a raid yet, still `practicing` on 5-man Heroics! The number of wipes I`m responsible for! lol Shhhh). But, I have this nice chest piece which, I was lucky to get in OS-25! No one rolled for it, and I will not complain about it. I'm still gathering my healing gear which is comlicated without skills to heal raids yet.--

However, can anyone tell me if using JoW as an alternative is a good way to go when oom? DP is amazing but I rather avoid it within a fight since it nerfs healings. I found that 'hitting' a mob or boss sometimes works great! I can almost fill my mana bar if tank is good enough and doens`t require me to `baby-heal` him every second of the fight. Any thoughts on the great and super underrated JoW? Maybe im just too much of a noob and really not getting it right here...

Please enlighten me!

Of course Belt of the Forgotten Martyr is better, not only is it a 245 ilvl item, it's from ToC, which has much better itemization on the mail/plate gear imo.
