Amazing trinket, thought it does not match the pure awesomeness that is called Darkmoon Card: Greatness.

This balances out at:

105 crit rating
142.6 Attack Power (856 AP * 20 sec duration / 120 sec CD)

Making this the second best trinket, removing Fury of the Five Flights from its 2nd spot (for most classes atleast).

YenAN, I do belive you are wrong. FotFF stacks 20 times, not 10.

Fury of the Five Flights stacks 20 times: 20*16 = 320 average AP
Mirror of Truth: 1000*10/45 = 222.2 average AP. (Assuming it procs every 45 second)
Wrathstone (According to YenAN) : 856*20/120 = 142.6 average AP

All these calculations are assumed that the trinkets proc every 45 seconds. Ofcourse, the Mirror of Truth will have a higher chance to proc with the more crit you got. The beauty of the Wrathstone is, as stated below by Rotseh, that you can chain it together with your other cooldowns.

There is no doubt that Darkmoon Card: Greatness is the nr. 1 trinket, so the choice is is really between Warthstone, Mirror of Truth and for some, Fury of the Five Flight. Considering that Wrathstone is a 100% up each two min, and that Mirror of Truth only has a 10% proc chance every 45 seconds, the Wrathstone is better.

Please feel free to correct me if I've done something wrong.

Rotseh: the FotFF has a build up phase yes, but it is difficult to add that to the calculations. Besides, it builds up fast, so I really doubt it is worth considering.
The Mirror does indeed have a 45 sec internal cooldown like most trinkets in game. (This does not apply to https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32505). I tested this myself, as well as having read this from Wowhead.

Incorrect, since the proc rate on this is not on demand like the Greatness card is. EJ confirms that Wrathstone is better when comparing it to Mirror. Not sure about the comparison to Five Flights though.

I wanted to add that for ret paladins, this trinket combined with 2 points in "Sanctified Wrath", will equal to the cooldown of this trinket, and the cool down of avenging wrath to be exactly the same. Then you can write a custom macro:

/cast Avenging Wrath;
/use Wrathstone;

Then you get 1 button where you get both +856 attack power, and +20% damage done for the duration.

As well, this trinket and avenging wrath both last for exactly 20 seconds, so they'll both run together for the duration. Using this each time your Avenging Wrath is up should do well for ret dps, espically for those longer boss fights in 25-man where you get to use Avenging Wrath twice or more.

I would say this trinket is useful for certain situations, and is a side grade to Darkmoon Card and Fury of Five/Bandit's Insignia. Certain situations i.e. Iron Council Hard mode, where the true fight is solid burst-dps phase.

Not necessarily the best trinket us physical DPS would be hoping for, but still a solution for some burst-heavy encounters.

I see it randomly share a 10 second cd with something proccing but I have no idea what it is. Im using greatness as my other trinket but it doesnt trigger from that, and its way before I pop anything (I'm a hunter). I'm also an engineer but its not sharing with the pyro rocket.

Any idea what it is?

The thing about trinkets that have an ability that lasts 20-secs every 2 mins, rather than 10-secs every 45 sec, is that more class abilities can be packed into the 20-sec period to make greater use of it.

Comparing Mirror of Truth, and Wrathstone on a Mutilate Rogue for example:
Once the DPS rotation is in full swing, a Mut Rogue will use Mutilate, Envenom, and Rupture as the 3 main DPS abilities. All of these abilities do increased damage from Attack Power.

Assuming that you decide use the Wrathstone as soon as the cooldown is up (every 2mins) to keep things fair, (considering the Mirror of Truth is used automatically every ~45seconds), in the proc period exactly how many abilities do you use? You might get away with something like Mutilate, Mutilate, Envenom, Mutilate within 10secs from Mirror of Truth. In this case, Rupture may not even get used if it's already ticking on the boss and hasn't finished yet (Rupture can last 20secs). Cancelling the Rupture with a new Rupture when the trinket procs will only be inefficient.

In a 20-sec proc period of Wrathstone, even if you cast Rupture 1 second before you proc the trinket, the proc will still be active for when Rupture is ready to be cast again, meaning the you WILL definitely benefit from the increased Attack Power on the Rupture ticks when you cast it again before the proc ends.

Unfortunately a 10-sec proc period is WAY too risky to guarantee that your best moves are pulled off in that time. The trinket might proc just when you've used up all your energy bar or combo points, and you have to wait a few seconds before you can do something useful. A 20-sec period is so much more reliable, ESPECIALLY if you have the ability to proc the trinket on command rather than have to just hope that when it procs you'll be in the heavy DPS part of your rotation.

What you said about MOT not getting the chance to effect your ruptures is correct, however from a combat rogues perspective your dps breaks down accordingly, 35% white 20% sin strike and 20% poisons ( rough numbers). Thats about 75% of your dmg that is effected for sure every time MOT proc is going. On select fights such as XT i can see where the wrath stone would pull ahead but on the majority of fights i would have to go with MOT, more AP a lot more often.

This and the Pyrite Infuser are the only reasonably-accessible physical DPS trinkets in Ulduar (10 or 25).

Blood of the Old God requires killing Yogg-Saron in 25-man mode. Comet's Trail comes from Algalon-25. Mjolnir Runestone drops from Thorim-10 hard mode. Dark Matter drops from Algalon-10.

Mark of Norgannon, from Malygos, is another option, if you can use expertise.
