This is the most common and most ideal bag for the endgame player. The comparable craftable bags are mooncloth and bottomless, and the sheer availability of the traveler's backpacks make them the easiest choice.

Eventually you can acquire bags like the 18 slot supply bag, ony hide bag, and panther hide sack, but for the most part these are your bread and butter of strorage space until TBC hits the shelves!

The only problem with these is that the Auction House price keeps going up, so be prepared to be charged a lot for one.

The strength of these bags is that they're not Bind On Pickup, so when a user eventually upgrades to 18 slots they can hand these down to newer players and/or characters.

This is a great bag. Just as useful as my old Netherweave bag, but non-binding, so when I outgrow it, I can simply send it to my bank alt. I got this from the Gurubashi Arena Chest the first time I opened it. According to the drop chances, don't expect to get it there, though.

What's with the droprate of these things? In all the time that I have played this game, I never saw them drop, until today, when I got three of them in one hour. Very odd. Maybe there is something like droprate spikes.

Looted one from a Bloodpetal Flayer (lvl 52) in Un'Goro crater and another from a Scourge Champion (lvl 60) at Eastern Plaguelands. Also seen these drop in Scholo/Strat/ubrs.

Price was down to 6g buyout each on Frostmane a couple days ago. I picked up four, for a total of 24g. Great deal :)

Price right now is from 8g to 12g each.

The Aggramar server recently had an interesting little item appear on AH in IF: Traveler's Backpack of the Falcon, which granted the bearer 29 intellect and 29 agility bonuses. i'm curious who obtained this item, what with its 10000 gold buyout, but i'm sure it made someone very rich. Has anyone else had this little morsel of a bag appear on their servers?

as a warlock, i'm more keen on the backpack of intellect, but i'd take falcon if it dropped.

Prices on these packs have gone through the roof on Khaz Modan. The used to sell for 6-8g but now sell for 25g or more. Someone said that Blizzard changed the drops so they can't be farmed. The new profession bags may be the reason they reduced the drops rates. It really sucks trying to get these now.

Bought 3 off some chinese goldfarmer for 5g each in IF, then i found another one on AH for 3, i love em, somehow i manage to keep 4 of them filled at almost all times...
Haven't checked prices on my server (US, Dethecus) for quite a while though, could have gone up a bit

That was someone messing around with Itemmagic or similar mod. Since the recent patch, if they try that they'll get kicked from the server.

I was in LBRS with my guild. I missed half the run. In the second half, THREE of these dropped. In a single run. Possibly the best luck of all time. The only thing I could think of being better would be Rend dropping both Dal'rends in a single kill.

A guy on my server just sold me 3 of these for 5G each and an Elite mount for 60G. He was getting rid of everything because he made a new toon on a PVP server. Hit the jackpot tonight. :D

I grinded Sorrow Hill, WPL, for a few weeks and five chests that dropped from the Undead there. Don't remember the type of chests, but 3/5 chests contained these backpacks.

Needless to say, I was a happy druid.

I bought 10 of these bags for only 3g a piece :) These are the prices atm for them. Well, I equiped 4 of them ofc, but some months later I checked the AH again and poefff they are 20g a piece.......................................

Yay, gonna make profit :) So I put the 6 others on the AH for 18g. and yay, next day I had like 6x15 gold profit...: = = = 80g !

I don't know if its me, but I've been very lucky with these. I've had 3 of them drop in the past 2 days. All were random world drops off of mobs in felwood and un'goro crater. Lucky me, I saved myself 15-20g per bag :)

From my experience farming furbolgs in Felwood and Winterspring ( and i have a lot of it , my revered timbermaw ( exalted soon ) and exalted wintersaber trainers reputation prove it ) i can say that the drop rate is very good relativly speaking . I once saw 7 bags drop in 3 days of wich i only won the rolls on 2 . Right now i only need 2 more and my bank and avatar will be full of these after wich i will begin selling them on the AH .

I think those drop by almost all level 46+ mobs, wich I guess is the reason why they have an extremly low drop rate, I only got on drop so far from elementals in felwood. they go for the average pirce on my server (15-20g), and to the guy who says they're 60g on his server...lol wtf...it costs less to make other kinds of 16 slots bags from tailors, if they really cost that much in anybodys server, I say save your money and get the 18 slot from AD, and stick to your 14's until those drop for you(unless you can make them or get someone to make them for you), 14 slots are like 10-20% of the price of those. I never bought them and I never will for any of my chars, 2 slots are really not worth it.

Had one of these drop off a horde NPC as well inside Alterac Valley, battlegrounds. Makes you wonder... do the guards have a chance to drop epics, also?

There is never any bind on these..They are outragously priced on Runetotem now..almost 60gs.
I sold mine in BB AH for 20gs, thought i was making a killing, look in IF AH nxt day...60gs.I felt used, for *** :(

These are dropping from Rock Stalkers in Silithus since the 1.8 patch changes. Drop rate is low as you would expect.

Dropped off of a 游荡的冰蓟雪人 in 冬泉谷, which for whatever reason isn't in the "Dropped By" list on this page. The drop rate by a Rogue Ice Thistle is 0.01% or 1 in 10,000.
