With a proc chance of 35%, although there'll most likely be an internal cooldown, I think it'll be a great trinket for almost any class since there's not just a passive +90 strength version, but also a +90 spirit, +90 int and +90 agi one.

A permanent +90 spirit and +300 for like 15 seconds out of every one or two minutes sounds pretty cool for a healer, doesn't it?

It's not great for DD-Caster they don't get that much out of spirit or int, but for healers it could be pretty nice also if i would say str. & agi. classes gain most power of it. Spelldmg would have been nice -_-

For prot warriors, this card has a built-in autoblocker too.

With the new STR:Block Value ratio, and 3/3 vitality, it gives roughly 47 passive block value and 159 proc block value.

In a heroic strat last night the Greatness buff had an uptime over 33% (proc has 45s internal cooldown, 15s duration). So it's roughly +99 block value over time (.33*159+47) without having to remember to use the effect.

Compare to the autoblocker/coin, which is 59 passive block value, and 200 block value for 20 secs every 120 seconds (16.7% uptime), that's roughly +92 block value over time (.167*200+59) if you remember to keep hitting the trinket.

So you have better than an autoblocker (with less maintenance) even before you consider the massive AP gained from 90 str and 300 str procs.

Currently best trinket in the game for DPS Warriors, and I expect Ret Pallys, though I won't say so unless I get flamed for being a noob ret pally (which I am...but still)

The +90 int version would be an amazing mana regen trinket for a disc priest. 15% extra int from talents, plus replenish/rapture bonus and a little extra crit chance is great. And the 300int is an amazing bonus, especially if you use shadow fiend when it procs.

I think " unique " word does no sense on u :) yea u cant use both of agi / str ones at same time and most of ferals especially with all new agi based feral items.. those trinkets will give us only agi as our highest stat then we cant get the huge ap from those but the crit from the high agi proc should be awesome

That brings this little trinket at 16k gold, if you're lucky to get the eight of them.

I was willing to pay a bit less than half that for the whole deck, I'm very frustrated.

For a feral druid playing only as cat dps, this is hands-down one of, if not the, best trinket in the game. Mirror of Truth comes close, and Grim Toll is better if you're into pen and need the massive 2.53% to hit that it provides.

The 90 strength as of 3.0.3 provides 210 attack power before savage roar, and the proc is believed to be a high 35% to fire with a 45 second internal cool down. Ideally this yields 25% uptime, theoretically averaging out to 90 strength + 75 agility. By all estimations this beats out the agility-only version of the card by at least 1-2% overall damage depending on the fights, since dot-heavy boss fights benefit more from the additional AP and trash figures benefit from the agi, where you see more mangles and fbs and less rips.

If you play dual roles of dps and tanking, I would suggest looking into the agility version instead because it is a pretty decent bear trinket as well.

Different greatness rewards can be equipped at the same time, but the equip ability wont work together, they share the hidden cooldown. They don't stack or proc after each other.

So, only one greatness card is really usable.

TBH, as a healer in high end gear you will have more intel than spirit.

so this trinket should give u 90 int and 300 int on proc which is not bad since intel is the best regen stat in the game now

Is it me or is this trinket going to get nerfed.

Undeath is pratically worthless, I could not sell the cards so I now have a deck im trying to sell at a loss with no success yet.

Chaos seems alright but should have a passive +stat.

Prisms is a good trinket, but no one wants it. Again cant sell the cards and it's not worth finishing the deck.

Then we have Nobles, half the server want it. I have people whispering me asking me to take their name down and if get X number noble card they will pay upto 2500 gold for just that one card.

Alot of scribes on my server are trying to cash in on the nobles craze but I honestly dont know if more than a couple will actually make a profit on mass card making. You have a 75% chance per craft to make a card no one will buy. When you finally get that noble card demand may have already bottomed out or waiting buyers already completed their decks on top of which the market is getting saturated with cards.

Any protection warrior who has to "remember" to use his Autoblocker & / or Coren's Coin needs to seriously reconsider being a tank. Using these items should be macro'd into your Shield Slam skill for maximum uptime as well as a high initial burst of threat.

You wont be geting any Stam Buff with this trinket. It clearly says " ...increasing your Strength, Agility, Intellect, or Spirit by 300.." so obviously as this trinket proc, it will choose the higger between those 4. No Stamina involved

For Warriors, this trinket is a must have for any spec - the Strength on it is unreal for DPS specs (Fury and Arms), whilst for Prot Warriors Strength now has massive benefits since the Shockwave talent tree changes.

It's literally a "one size fits all" truly epic trinket!

This trinket is simply amazing for any melee, I myself am a Blood Death Knight.

My first raid with this, I was DPSing for a total of 47 minutes. Greatness proced 68 times in that 47 minutes.
On boss fights only, a total of 17 minutes of DPS, Greatness proced 24 times.

I love this trinket and it was WELL worth the ~13k gold you have to spend on it.

I'm one of the lucky (or stupid) bastards to have gotten this trinket - it's just insane. To all you Feral DPS Druids, Warriors, Retribution Paladins etc., pick this up. It will be the best thing that's ever happened to you. The proc has a high chance to proc, the effect is awesome, and the internal cooldown is shorter than you'd expect.

It's well worth the 10k gold I spent on it.

Been using this for a few weeks now, and thought I'd report the benefits from a Fury Warrior's point of view (probably relevant to all melee DPS classes who benefit from Strength over Agility).

Simply put, it's awesome. It's by far the most impressive Darkmoon trinket yet seen in World of Warcraft. It has an internal cooldown of 45 seconds, but it will proc the instant you enter combat and will indeed proc the instant the internal cooldown expires. It's almost clockwork - every 45 seconds you will get the "Chance on" effect of 300 Strength.

I've had this proc off Lifeblood, bandages, a Deep Wounds tick - basically anything that heals or deals damage this will proc on (not when eating food, limited to abilities usable in combat as far as I can tell.)

You will notice a big DPS increase instantly, including Shield Slams for Prot Warriors.

Basically, you're going to get a static +90 Strength with 15 seconds per minute of +300 Strength.

Overall, this is like having a static trinket offering you +165 Strength (give or take a few seconds waiting for it to proc, and give or take your rotation usage - naturally, +165 static Strength would be more preferable!).

It is, in short, comfortably the single best trinket in the game for a Fury Warrior by some considerable distance.

naturally, +165 static Strength would be more preferable!

Having 100 strength 100% of the time is worse than having 300 strength 33% of the time because you can try to time other cooldowns to combine with the 33% to increase its effect.

For example, Pull at 0:00
Bloodlust + Racial/other trinket + Deathwish at 0:00-0:05
Trinket procs at 0:00-0:05
Recklessness sometime between 0:05 and 0:20

The Haste from Bloodlust, damage multiplier from Deathwish and crits from Recklessness will amplify the value of 300 strength for the time it's up.

One more thing about this trinket. For those who aren't sure if it is worth getting... im thinking in Ulduar there is not going to be 2 melee trinkets, and if there is it's likely one of them will be crap (giving stupid ammounts of a stat we dont want). That means this could still be the best trinket in Ulduar and even if it's not, you can keep using this while others spend their DKP on slightly better trinkets.

From a fury warrior point of view this is the best trinket I have ever had!

This Procs + https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=12292 + Both weapons proc https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=59621 + https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=40684 + https://www.wowhead.com/cata/spell=1719 = A hell of a lot of Damage!

But what ever class you play that uses strength be prepared to top dps meters when you get your hands on this trinket.

I was under the impression that for some classes (such as ret pally, which I'm about to discuss) 1STR = 2AP. Now If the trinket gives 90STR and procs the 300STR that is 390STR.

390STRx2 = 780AP

Now even with a self buff of kings(39 more str) to boost that it only goes up to 858AP.

To me it seems as though the mirror of truth type items which give 1k AP would be much better than this, as they give crit rating or resil as well as the proc.

I've read all the comments here looking for someone who had the same thoughts as me, but there weren't any, so I might as well be the first one.

Apparently people believe this to be superior to 1k AP, and it would make sense as it is much harder to get, but the math doesn't add up. Did they change the conversion rate to AP or what?

I can understand using this as another trinket in addition to a mirror of truth to stack AP, but I would rather use one or the other and the epic pvp trinket than both of them.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

As above, better due to higher uptime. Also, sometimes you won't crit when the ICD for mirror of truth is up, decreasing the uptime of that even further. Probably not much of an issue for people with fast attack speed and 2 weapons, but as a 2h DK it is noticeable when I get unlucky and don't crit for 5-10 seconds after the ICD is done on the mirror.

Essentially, the proc rate on the mirror per attack (that can crit) is your crit rate times 0.1. For me, raid buffed, with about a 40% crit rate average, that works out to a 4% chance to proc per attack when the CD on the mirror isn't in effect.

A lot of people have mentioned AP conversions for Retribution Paladins, but most haven't gotten it completely right.

In 99.9% of our guild's raids we have BoK available. This is soon to be 100% since BoK will be baseline in 3.1.

This means:
1 STR = 2 AP (that's the basic conversion)
+15% from talent
+10% from BoK
(static buffs such as horn or totem do not affect these numbers, only % increases)
That means in total 1 STR = 2.53 AP

That makes this trinket without the shadow of a doubt the single best Ret Paladin DPS trinket currently implemented.

Having this trinket on the grobbulus fight is funny. It makes the same noise as when you drop the injection. So if you have a lot of melee, it can make them nervous hearing that noise every time the cd is up. I watch my DBM very closely on that fight and sometimes that noise makes me nervous =)

I was getting excited about getting that trinket, but then the decks sells for 10,000g on my server. Individual cards go from 800-2000g. It is very exaggerated.

So about a week ago I decided to power level inscription to make these cards. I spent hours at a time farming nothrend herbs and buying stacks of the AH. I did dailies on the side to keep the cash flow in, and sold off alot of enchanting mats and other items I've just been savings. Making this deck was hell. I got an entire Prisms deck before I got the Nobles Deck. Not to mention I made about.. 60 cards, with 6 of then being the Five of Nobles (10%!). I was extremely lucky that I used nobles duplicates to trade for the last two cards. At this point, after all the spending and moving of gold I had, I'm down about 800g. I think it was a well worthy investment.

I can't wait to trade this thing in.

Just because it will be a baseline ability in 3.1 doesn't mean every retribution paladin will be getting it in a raid. If there is only one paladin, and it's a retribution paladin, and he's using this trinket, he may buff everyone else with Kings, but he's going to more than likely use Improved Might on himself.

The bottom line is this trinket provides 207 character sheet AP for a retribution paladin. No more, no less (unless he's not specced into Divine Strength, but this is not a likely scenario). Those buffs (Kings, Trueshot Aura, etc.) are providing the additional.

A truly amazing trinket. I got it for my protection paladin and I do not regret it. My threat increased by a significant amount. In addition, as it was already said trinket procs VERY often, sometimes it procs from the very first attack. Instantly gaining 300 strength for 15 secs helps a lot with gaining initial threat on bosses/trash mobs. You will not regret buying this trinket. It's simply great.

I've been playing around with my new toy. I've had a full stack of Fury of the Five Flights combined with procs of Fallen Crusader and the card all at the same time. Results were... impressive.

I'm currently spec'd 0/32/39, but will be going back to my Death's Bite/Armageddon and deep Blood spec when 3.1 is released. I suspect the 1700 strength I've had self-buffed (procs and HoW) will be somewhat higher.

Got it last night for my Blood Spec Death Knight ,spending 7.350 gold for it...totally worth it guys.Extreme boost both from stat and the proc is like spam. Dont cry for the gold.
The funny thing is that the item Quest was in AH for 12k gold and if u bought the Noble deck piece by piece u buy it half price..So i suggest u have a litle patience and find all 8 cards instead of buying the Q item and loose 5-6k gold for nothing :)

personally i probably would take agility on as Feral Cat, i rather have 1% more crit then abit more AP, i think in 3.1 Agility will again become better stat for druid DPS, since everything will be able to crit. white atatcks, rake, rip and all other specials, i think crit will go futher way then having abit more AP, also ARM PEN will become almost useless to us (bleeds ignore armor).

Allright, some napkin math for Retribution Paladins:

The passive strength of 90 turns into 113,85 strength in a raid environment.
(thanks to Divine Strength and Blessing of Kings.)

Based on the reports of an estimated uptime of 33% we can assume an average procc worth of 100 strength. Yet again we factor in Divine Strength and Blessing of Kings, resulting in an average procc worth of 126,5 strength.

Adding these numbers together we're looking at an average of 240,35 strength, or a whooping 480,7 attack power.

Theoretical numbers are also a subject to change depending on the fight and the procc ability, this is just an estimated average.

Either way, I want this baby so badly.

As a DK tank this trinket is absolutely godlike! I lose a bit of avoidance for using it but what I can tell is that it is really worth it. (Provided it gives about 1% parry when it procc so you are not really losing that much avoidance after all) It gives about 200 dps increase for me on a single target and more on AoE packs. If you are a frost tank like me, put this on and watch other paladin tank's face when you can simply grab aggro from them by just doing your AoE rotation. I got complained for "keep taunting their mobs" because of this, which I didn't :P

Had this beauty for afew weeks now, procs alot, definetly my favourite out of the gear I've got. Due to the time invested into getting this card, I'd hate to have to replace it. Only one in my guild that has it too, and I've had many a people compliment me on having it.

At the moment I'm pairing it with Grim Toll when raiding because I need the hit, before I lost hit on my legs I was pairing it with Mirror of Truth. Keeping my eye out for Fury of the five Flights though, for when I have made up the hit on some of my other gear.

Started leveling inscription as soon as i'd dinged 80, took about 2 weeks to make, and another 2 weeks for the darkmoon faire to open, was very lucky with the cards I made though, around 50-60% of the cards I made were Nobles, quite afew were doubles but they were the cards that sold for the most on my server (3 Aces, 3 7's and 2 8's) so I was able to sell them and buy the cards I needed at a slight profit.

This trinket is definetly acessable to those without aload of gold, I don't even have my epic flying mount, but I got this without spending any gold.

My question is though, has anyone else noticed the cards not selling well atm?

Have better trinkets come out in Ulduar or something? I've made afew cards since the patch to sell for the money, and even with those cards being the only 5's and 6's on the AH, they wern't selling for half the pre patch price. Before they'd have been a bargain at 500 a card on my server, and I ended up giving away Nobles cards to my brother and another guildie (passed on some items in Nax to me, so I felt I owed the guy) because I was frustrated with the lack of offers. Any other people that sell the cards for gold noticed this new trend? I'd appreciate any responses, I find grinding for gold very tedious, but with grinding these cards I feel like I have a goal to work towards, so they were my primary source of income pre patch.

I know the droprate on northrend herbs has increased, so the supply has maybe gone up?

Immediately Buyout on every card less then 30secs on AH of course their was doubles of some so i had to look for the
Lowest to save gold something everyone does. Walked away with -5k out of my pocket, But it was well worth every gold.

I have a paladin, dk and a druid. I have started gathering cards, but I cant get it on all.. so I'll get it on my paladin, cause I can use it for tanking AND dps.

Druids can use it for dps or tanking aswell.. but have to use agility for tanking and strength for dps.

DK's can use it for tanking to get parry, and no doubt dps. But seeing some DKs roll on intellect and spellpower gear, I kinda ignore them.

So.. to sum up what you all have yet to say. Paladins rule ofc. Thanks blizzard!

yeah is it possible to have two seperate greatness cards on at the same time and if it is possible would the buff stack and/or would it just increase my chance of getting the buff for example if u use the str and agi cards while ur str is your highest would the str get both buffs or woud ur str just get a higher chance to get the buff and is this a good course for dk because i hear alot of ppl say that a dks damage is based from there ap but the more i increase my str my dps goes higher than just by increasing my ap ;am i gong about the trinkets wrong? my spec is 66/5/0(frost for toughness)

Trying to determine if this is still worth it or not, when compared to say Banner of Victory which gives 1008 AP, and Coren's Chromium Coaster which gives 1000 AP, both of these would be more than the 600 AP you'd gain from Greatness, correct?

Would this be a viable upgrade for a Blood DK from Mirror of Truth? Mirror adds 1000 AP on proc and, unless my math is wrong, the Greatness proc doesn't even come close.

This trinket is just amazing for a protection paladin threat wise. Coupled with Libram of Valiance proc and Last Word proc (and Proper heroic tanking glyph) you will be skyrocket high in threat and dmg done.

In an average heroic group you should end up with +50% of the groups dmg done.

What I'm wondering is if a Fury Warrior would benefit from this trinket and the +90 Agi trinket. My thinking is that I would get 2 +300 Str procs to go with my 2 Berserking enchants I have on my 2hand weapons and help me to get closer to 6k dps.

Ok, so hopefully someone sees this and can help me. I have a Ret Pally sitting on a 5400+IGGS and I have both MoT and DCoG+Strength. I am having one hell of a time replacing either one of them. What should I be looking for? Is the Harkumi War Token an option? It looks like a wash to me. Please help he if you can because I love these trinks but dont want to be bound to them. Thanks

The proc has a 45 second internal cooldown (and once up, it has a VERY high chance to proc), so you have the proc up 15 seconds out of every 45, or 1/3 of the time. So on average with this trinket equipped you will be getting 190 (100 from the proc averaged over 45 seconds, and 90 passive) str, which is incredible. With kings, in raids this trinket sustains an average AP bonus to the wearer of over 400!
