Hate to say it, but this glyph is beyond worthless.

Is it a little fun for a couple seconds? Sure. But any hunter wanting to maximize dps (which, I remind you, is our job) will have other glyphs that are far more beneficial to use over this.

I think the much-needed change to spell pushback rendered this glyph officially useless.

Changed to give your snakes avoidance, taking a mere 10% of damage from AOEs in patch 3.1.

Question is though, how much health do the snakes have? Would this take them from being killed by one arcane explosion to taking 4? Less/more?

lol, even the admins here make mistakes.... : " Snakes generated by your snake trap take 90% reduced damge from area of effect spells." just a little type mistake... damge = damage

the snakes from the snake trap only have 107 health at lvl 80, so they can take up to any aoe hit that is less then 1070 and just barely survive

If our snakes scaled with our hp, this would be more useful. Maybe 1000 hp at lvl 80? Then it would take maybe 5 or 6 aoes to completely kill them off. That way, our snakes are basically unkillable in the allotted time span.

The snakes have 123 HP, deal 20-75 damage per attack and have no protection against volley or AE spells. Also I doubt that they benefit from resilence but that's quite ignorable anyway because of their HP pool. (Data taken @Lvl 85, 165k HP Hunter)

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has been slightly modified.

OLD: Snakes from your Snake Trap take 90% reduced damage from area of effect spells.
NEW: Snakes from your Snake Trap take 90% reduced damage from area of effect attacks.
