This is better if you are hit capped than the neckalce listed below but if you are not capped then choose the other neckklace

While this is a decent neck to start raiding, you can instead choose an alternative to save up and buy Chain of Latent Energies off the AH for around 2k to 3k gold considering it is BoE and is likely to be in supply from the amount of pugs and guilds running Naxx 10 man. With how easy it is to make gold nowadays, the BoE neck is just better, with more hit and haste to replace spirit with haste being a more superior dps increase over spirit for most dps casters.

Another alternative. If you're not bothered about Spirit, and want to save badges or money, Hateful Gladiator Pendant of Ascendancy is very easy to obtain through PvP, and has more Hit rating.
That being said, Resilience is a "wasted" stat for PvE too, so the main difference between them is the source more than anything.

Massive waste of embelms for mages. Go pick up and put a runed scarlet ruby in it for the same stats. Of course it has a little lower stam/int, but considering it's a quest reward, you'll be able to save those 25 emblems for something else.

Unfortunately this is the necklace to buy as a Resto Druid as well.

+hit is wasted, but the other option is Lattice Choker of Light and Trees are better with spirit vs. crit / mp5, spirit gives bonus spellpower due to Improved Tree Form and remember Living Spirit will improve the bonus spirit from items.

Actually, if you compare this one to Veiled Amulet of Life from Naxx10 you'll see you trade some stamina for some haste, so basically it's a sidegrade (haste isn't that great for Trees either). Don't waste your DKP on the neck from Naxx10 if you can bear people who /inspect and laugh "+hit is not a healer item lol!"

This is good starter for every DPS caster, as hit is hard to come by when you just start raiding. I will be trying for this, or the PVP neck for my elemental shaman.
