This would have filled a huge itemization hole for Fury Warriors and especially Enhancement Shamans, but with the 2.60 speed Karazhan weapons being changed from MH to OH in the same patch this is still going to be a welcome addition.

This fist weapon drops from Nalorakk, the 1st boss in Zul' Aman. Very nice fist weapon for a 10 man raid and especially for shammies.

Sure, I'd rather have had Str instead of Sta on that weapon, but this is still a welcome addition, cuz up 'til now we were using green trash or farming Arena points...

Seems that they're adding a lot more slow offhands into the game with the change of decapitator and fools bane, with the release of Season 3 arena gear there is also a slow OH, and in the new raid instances (as seen here). Season 3 weapons are definitely an upgrade to this fist weapon pair. However, they require 1850 personal rating to purchase, so for some of us we wouldn't be getting those any time soon.

Here are 2x Season 2 (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=31965) (2 slow axes for enhancement shamans and fury warriors post 2.3) compared to Fury and Rage. I'm choosing axes because of my orc's racial, 1% crit with axes, after 2.3) but they all have identical stats (swords/maces/axes/fists).

By equipping this, combined with Rage, instead of 2x axes:

-- 3.8 DPS
++ 20 Agility
-- 16 Stamina
-- 25 Crit Rating
-- 24 Resilience (N/A for PvE DPS?)
-- 26 Attack Power
++ 2 Gem Sockets (1 Red, 1 Yellow)

All calculations assume you gem for and gain the socket bonuses.

The DPS values were calculated without taking offhand penalty into account, but you can work that out since it depends on your class and it doesn't change the comparison.

Doesn't seem like much of an upgrade... keep in mind if choosing to farm 2 arena axes is that unless you buy season 3, you will need to fork out enough points for two one hand (main-hand cost) weapons, rather than 1 main hand and one offhand, since there is no slow-speed offhand-specific weapon (and therefore cheaper) available pre-S3.

Its kinda of a shame that this along with Fury don't make a similiar 2-piece fist set ZG had. A lot of people enjoyed the proc the provided (turned you into a tiger even for hunters and added AP). Still its nice as people said, especially for enhancement shamans.

Got this a few days ago on my warrior. Seems to be an amazing weapon. Socket it with a +4 strength, +4 crit gem and a potency enchant and youve got yourself a nice weap.

Wonderful fury warrior set!... just wish either would drop (neither Fury or Rage have dropped for my group while killing Nalorak once a week since ZA came out). It would be pretty nifty if they had a set bonus but it won't keep me from going for them, especially without an enhancement shaman in the group.

Out of curiosity, do these claws (Rage and Fury) "flex" at all while you're wearing them, similar to the way Al'ar's do?

Well i am enh shaman and this thing is doing great job for me , its giving +50 AP when u count the gem and socket bonus , and it has stamina so its use full in pvp also , and dont forget hit rating :-) and as many guys said above for enh shamyes and fury warrs its a blessing from blizz :-) and beside its hitting so hard , the look of it is awesome :-)

Got this weapon a few weeks back on my Fury warrior, upgrading from the S2 offhand fist (the personal rating on the S3 puts it out of my reach). Yes, I said "upgrade", despite it being a lower item level and lower DPS statistic. If you're using an S2 offhand, Fury Warriors, here are the reasons it is an upgrade, imoo:

1. It has more attack power.AP is king for us. Bloodthirst's damage is an AP calculation, not tied to weapon damage at all. I put a Bold Living Ruby in there, and my BT damage has gotten noticeably happier. The additional hit rating is a good bonus to make sure your rage generates smoothly.

2. Going from 1.5 speed to 2.6 speed does make a noticeable difference in WW damage. I imagine i'm not the only one here who put that last Fury point (any other 0/17/44 out there? I thought so ;) ) in Imp. Whirlwind, the 2.3 change made this an invaluable part of the standard DPS rotation.

Yes, I lost some crit rating. As it turns out, I made this gear switch around the same time as a few others, so I came out ahead on crit in the end; but for the short term: the crit difference is a smaller deficit to your DPS than the increase in AP and Hit, on the whole. At least, that's my personal experience.

How much DPS do you do when you're dead?

Stamina is fairly low-priority, but fact is, melee DPS are going to take damage. Having more HP gives your healers some breathing room and will undoubtedly save you from dying at least occasionally.

Along with many other fist weapons in the game, such as Fist of Deity, the sister item to this Rage will become one-hand in MoP, and will finally be usable in either hand (and transmog to either hand). This one, however, will not.

not a bad drop. picked it up 11-19-07. yet to enchant it cuz im poor but from that pick looks like it accepts glows (unlike the damn arena weps). really nice for ap. hopefully will work well

Well if no shamans/rogues are in the grp or they already have a better wep/don' want it, then it honestly isn't a bad hunter weapon if you don't already have a gimped hit rating; even the red socket is nice for an extra AP boost

Ok guys...I've been a die hard fan of the fast OH for my fury war. But since the patch things have changed. There are more reasons to go with a slow OH now and I think Blizzard is dropping hints that this is the way to go. Alot of slow Main Hand only weps are now One Hand weps like The Decapitator and others. This item is called FURY. Coincidence? I think not.

Wow... got to say when we one shotted nalorakk on our first try ( /flex ) this dropped - im confused tho.. only one epic? and only one badge of justice? meh but anyways we gave it to our ench shammie and he's happily owning noobs in WSG with + attack power on it :D

did the mats for a hunter and here it is:

60 agility
66 ap
20 hit raiting 38 sta
13 crit raiting

( both weps r with 20 agi ench and filled with 20 ap gems

its like sonic spear but maybe lower i think, but shamys should always win this over a hunter
just tought to do the mats coz they look good on any class..

got this on my hunter today,added a 8 agi gem to it, going to stick 20 agi on it too. rolled against a rogue for it. he had the za 1.6 speed za sword anyway as a oh.

Indeed the names would suggest its for warriors (Rage-Fury:). However everybody knows this is a warrior/enhance weapon. We dont use DKP for 10 mans. We just talk about who gets what loot and works out fine as always. And since I am only enh shaman and no fury wars, this will prolly be mine if it drops so cant wait! :)

mm nice fury warrior weapon, get dragonmaw or any tier from that weapon and Fury for offhand, enchant both with mongoose and your lookin at about 1.8 attack speed with both weapons pretty much almost every fight with flurry of course. and also say goodbye to rage generating problems with that much haste and added crit from mongoose.
