K. you're all @#%^tards. there is no possible way to tell whether this item exists or not. you all calling each other idiots for saying the oposite of what you think just proves you're morons.

Blizz has said nothing about this weapon, NOTHING can be deduced from that. OK, there's a model for it. there's a model for illidan's blades as well. the stats are overpowered, the weapon is not in game yet, if at all, and so: it has NO stats. Until it's in the game, everything about it is made up.

there are lots of Fake Legendary weapons and items on the Allakhazam, i mean look at the DonatorSet1 set its just the Warrior T4 set and the Wrist/Belt/Feet its that go with the looks, then there the "Shield Wall of the Great Three Hundred" i mean any1 whos seen 300 will know its fake.

I seriously don't know why people think this is a real "real" weapon, it's not, this was created on a private server for someone, or a blizz employee/admin for his or her personal amusement. Allakhazam must have found out, and since its got its own stats, data/code they added it to the database. This weapon is on no way attainable in the real game. Faribanks even says it himself "The Ashbringer cannot be cleansed, but a new one can be forged". Think about it people.

I looked at the other two handed swords, and noticed that there's another "cleansed ashbringer" at the bottom of the list if you sort by ratio. And for those of you who don't think this sword is fake, look at it realisticly, even if the sword says every class can use it, they have to have trained in two handed swords to equip it and actually get to the point where they can hit something with it.

1. Of all the classes listed that "can" use it, only 3 can wield it: Hunters, Warriors, and Paladins.
2. The DPS is outrageous beyond all belief. Even the Legendary sword used in the fight in Stratholme, isn't even above and beyond the Epic craftable swords currently in the game (like say: Blazeguard).
3. Any content pertaining to The Black Temple (or Black Citadel, depending who you talk with, the name is interchangable) isn't even in INTERNAL testing yet, let alone open or closed PTR.
4. Regarding the story event in Scarlet Monastery with the Corrupt Ashbringer: High Councillor Fairbanks, not High Commander Mograine, does state it is beyond cleansing. Regarding Outland, it is to find the last survivng member of the Mograine family, to forge a new one. There is no hope for the Corrupt Ashbringer. I just hope that to make a new one, you don't need the Corrupt one. That would be beyond a low-blow to 99.95% of the WoW community. Four Horsemen aren't easy to kill, even if you are level 70.

The Ashbringer has so far, not been available to normal players.

pre-TBC, GM used the Ashbringer for fun, and the corrupted Ashbringer brought new hope to the players, dying to get the ashbringer.

Everyone thought, that you should go and find Morgraine's other son in Outland, and then he would cleanse it. Done.

But guys?

The Ashbringer will be available to players in WotLK!

The Ashbringer saga was never finished, and therefore it will be continued in the next expansion.

My thoughts -
I guess that the Ashbringer will in the end have lvl-80-legendary-like stats, cause of the questline needing the last expansion.

Step 3: Stain the blade with their blood
Step 4: Stab yourself with the sword
Step 5: Grats, some random newb gets a new sword.

Srsly though, the stats on this are obviously not true, I'm suspecting the ashbringers legendary form to be around 120-125 damage, and be some what of a paladin weapon, although it will be fast.

also the center circle in the cleansed one glows alot more, theres a 2nd cleansed ashbringer which i think is the quest item that was mentioned to defeat ilidan..its not so much a real 2 handed sword as a random sword with no dps that has a chance on his to do 3k, as for this one, not sure where it comes into the picture

Have you ever seen a weapon that was wielded by all classes that really have every single class listed after "Classes:" ? I wouldn't mind this on a shaman... WAIT SHAMANS CAN TRAIN SWORDS? nope. This weapon is not fake u dumbass u get it while u face illidan, it is a consumable weapon which u can only use in the arena u fight illidan in. after that it gets destroyed from your inventory and gone. you get it from a quest u have to make it and then u can do the quest to kill illidan, altho u cant kill him u just mearly beat him

It's NOT fake, it's very real.
I run my own wow server (always with the latest pach) just to try stuff out, and this weapon does exist and have exact those stats. Now I dont know if any player will ever be able to get this weapon, but it does exist. So please, before calling someone a noob or make a statment what so ever, make sure that you are right.

Okay, The Ashbringer was the legendary that was going to be put in,but Blizz decided to put in Thunderfury. You can get the Courrupted Ashbringer from the Four Horsemen in Naxxaramas. Which you can take to Scarlet Monestary, where you see an event, which in later patches could lead to the cleansing of the Ashbringer. This weapon may be fake, but the Ashbringer legendary is not. (You can even see the creation of the Ashbringer in Old Hillsbard at the SS Inn.)

Not sure if the cleansed exists ( heard theres a quest for it in outland though involving morgrain's son ) , but the stats are CLEARLY edited
As for who can use it...It may say all classes can, ok so it doesn't have a class restriction , but that doesn't mean you can wield a 2 hand weapon without training...

I think the sword is real sure the stats and procs of it could be a bit off but it can be real. You just might have to go through a !@#$ load of stuff to get it like what you have to go through for Thunderfury and the other Legends and instead of being cleansed it will just be called Ashbringer or something. Sure sword of a thousand truths was a load of bull but that was because somebody watched too much South park. My brother got the Tainted one about 2 months ago so he's holding on tight until he finds out the truth. So I'm just saying don't just count this sword as a fake just yet if the corupt one is real why can't the original be. We just have to wait and see. It would be a lot better if Blizzard stopped jerking us off though.

Mograne's other son has been found! Apparently the quest can only be started by Paladins who have the Corrupted Ashbringer. The quest chain hasn't been completed yet, but you do get to fight a dark naaru, as can be seen here:

Not real item, made on server, uploaded too allakhazam, just 'cause you can spawn an item on a server, doesn't mean it is real, think about it, Id 33335 on my server is The Fanatik, and that was taken out fo the database cause it -was- fake, 33338 is Peep the Pheonix, everyone know that item isent real, it's a base immitation of the mount Kael'Thas drops. Ashbringers Id is 33336, does not make it real. EVERY item has an ID, or they wouldent exsist, too make a item, you need too put an Id, and look, starting from 33334-33338 are items, Just those 4 items, nothing below on ID's or above it, that are anywhere close, doesn't that strike you as a little suspicious? If you have a private server, look up these things before you go saying 'cause it's on a private server it's real.

Ha everyone is playing into exactly what they want you to do. This item is "Legendary," meaning it is fabled whether it is real or not, and mainly just to get peoples' hopes up for something extremely rare.

This item is simply meant to be talked about and rewarded only to those who earned the right to hold the item that most thought were fake. It is exactly the point of making this a Legendary Item.

So, keep talking about it and say what you want, but we'll all find out when the elite players get the right to use this.

Ok, seeing as this can apparently only be spawned on private servers, and it's clearly absolutely ridiculously powerful, did anyone consider that maybe Blizzard has plans for later expansions? Perhaps this is a sword that was put into the code for a 2nd, 3rd or even 4th expansion. Maybe they plan on having the lvls go to 100 and this is going to be some godly ass lvl 100 weapon. Just a thought.

I really doubt this exists also, the best weapon there ever going to be in WoW will be Illidians blade wich can be a 177 dps 2-h sword or 2 130 dps 1-h swords (hope that didnt confuse you) which probably only 1 person a server will get in the first 3 months that black temple is open. I'm pretty sure there will be an ashbringer, but not 900-100 dmg, over 600 dps and all those extremeties.

Actual in-game items would not under any circumstance reach 500+DPS.
200+ is the edge of reasonable, even for legendary.

Quest items don't have lvls, and putting all classes in the list is just silly.

If warrior have it, the clothe classes such as mage, priest will have to run for their corpses exactly after ten seconds, five swings, of fight against warrior. As we can see from many fantasy, only warrior is a real hero lah.

it is a 2 handed sword. it lists all the classes that can use the sword, and yet shamans cant use swords, even if ur a GM u cant force a shaman to use a sword. Still think ppl can get it on normal servers without GM assistance? If so please i would very much lve to know where it drops, if it's quest aquired, or if aquired by turning in marks of some sort like how people get their T4. Please show actual proof that people can obtain this on a normal server.

I checked with the modelviewer and could only find "Ashbringer" and "Corrupted Ashbringer". Both look similar, and are 2H swords. So info can be true that this weapon is only a consumable or a quest item. At least it's not meant for long use, as it is not in the wow weapon database.

Or at least, judging from lore, it should be. The 'Cleansed' part implies that the Corrupted Ashbringer was brought back to it's original state, and it was stated somewhere that The Corrupted Ashbringer is beyond cleansing.
