Once this quest is accepted, this mask turns into a Felsworn Gas Mask later in the chain. It looks Exactly like the Warlock Tier 3 helm from Naxxramas, which is pretty cool in itself. It only lasts a short while, though. So enjoy it while you can.

There has to be some kind of pre-req for having this drop. For me it was first kill. For a warrior I was helping out it was over an hour of grinding and nothing. We probably killed 20 whilst grouped and nada.

I was at the Ethereum Staging Grounds in Netherstorm grinding keys when one of these dropped. Forget which (Arcanist, Overlord, Archon, etc.) since I wasn't looking for it.

I've killed a ton of corruptors in Blade's Edge and never have seen this quest starter item drop which leads me to believe it was moved with patch 2.1.

They still drop off the Corrupters, I got one on my first kill in Blade's Edge.

i find it kinda funny when people rely on drop rates of quest items. if you stop and think about it. if anyone who is ineligible for the quest, or has already done it, kills a ton of the mobs it drops from, it's gonna drop the rate like crazy. if you aren't getting it in the time you're expecting to, then you're just unlucky, don't worry about it. double check and make sure you're killing the right things and get back to it.

grinding, among other things, is good for you! :D

Hey guys, remember that there are lots of locations for the Corruptors. I got mine off of one slightly SW of Forge Camp: Anger on the first kill. Try around the area of Bladed Gulch and see if the drop rate is better. Ive killed a lot of these guys during my daily quests for Ogri'la but never had one drop.

I got mine off my first kill of a Fel Corruptor. I was working on the quest Culling the Wild. I am honored with Cenarian Expedition. One or both of those might be a prerequisite for getting the drop. Good luck.
