You will have the opportunity to pick up this ring when you become friendly with The Violet Eye. Other paths you can take are Assassin, Mage, or Restorer but you may only chose one.

From a Druid's perspective, damage and healing rings are a dime a dozen (including magic damage and agility/strength). However finding a ring that will start out giving you 1155 armor and will upgrade as you rep up makes this a no brainer for me.

Be careful when checking out what ring you want. Apparently Blizzard didn't learn their lesson from the AQ rings and when you 'Accept' the quest you get the ring, so don't accept the quest for the wrong one.

if i mess up n click on the wrong ring to start out with at the guy at kara is there some way to reverse that n pick a different ring?

In my opinion, this ring is quite subpar for a non-Druid tank. Kara tanks will be concerned with dropping below 102.4 and this ring does very little to assuage those concerns. On my not-quite-there-almost-so-close Paladin, I tried exchanging both my Andormu's Tear and my Ring of the Silver Hand with this and in both cases lost total avoidance. The armor is negligible for a non-Druid and the stamina can easily be obtained elsewhere.

If you are on the respective quest but have misplaced (deleted) your violet signet, you may delete the quest to re-obtain the signet from Archmage Leryda.

would u believe I picked up the wrong one! was half asleep when I picked up my violet signet... Im a tank, and I picked up the priests one! I paged a GM, turns out I have to wait for exalted with the violet eye to change it... ffs
