I can confirm this drops from the cache of the legion, I doubt it can drop from an astromage; it is either extremely unlikely, a misplaced item, or a bug in the addon dealing with looting containers and killing mobs at the same time.

As a resto druid I have been wearing these shoulders for quite a while. Sometimes I forget that it's okay to slap on some cloth armor if the stats are right. Remember the 80-120 armor difference between cloth and leather shouldn't (and won't) make a difference if you have a group that can't manage aggro.

These are really close to the mantle of the seawolf for restor shamans and so much easier to get. If you don't mind wearing cloth these would be nice pre-raid shoulders.

Oddly enough, they make great shoulders for holy pallys, if you don't mind taking the hit in armor. No usless spirit, and lots of mp5.

Dropped from the cache on my first run and guess what, I (as a Holy pala) had competition from another holy pala and a mage (dunno why he needed) and I won!! Lucky was I ^^

I thought these drop in Shattered Halls so I was very surprised....

You need the 2 gem drops from the patrolling guards that that open the lift door, the 2 combined make a key to open a funky shaped chest near the lift

After the 9th run, this dropped. However, someone else got it. Unfortunately there are few mana-regen shoulders that are quite this good that doesn't require 10+ people to get. Get ready to invest 8+ hours on it if you want to get these.

To make it faster, just go after mini-bosses, skip the 1st boss to make this a 30-40min run.

I think I'm probably in the minority when I say I think these shoulders actually look decent. Although I think most will have to agree they look more interesting than the Hallowed Pauldrons.

But still, very nice item. Have been to the Mechanar a few times with my priest now with no drop, but won't give up till I have them.

these are very nice =)for PRIESTS im a paladin myself but sometimes i dont know why paladins wear cloth .... i would pass for these and get my fake judgement shoulders =) there way better for paladins imo and put a +29 healing enchant on it and there better :P

im a resto shaman, and these are about the best pve healing shoulders you'll get before heroics (mana tombs etc) apart from being cloth, they are pretty much everything a shaman looks for. high +heal, mp5 and int.

i dont know about paladins, but there really isnt a comparable shoulder for shamans at this level that is mail. remember you will only have 1 person healing in a 5 man group, and the healer will get first priority no matter what armor they can wear.

those points aside, these shoulders are PIMP :D

Hoping to get these on my Resto Druid, they look beautifully ridiculous on a Tauren and the rest of my gear follows a bright orange/green/pink/purple color scheme so I think it'll match. :) When Easter comes around next year I'll be ready.

I put them on my Warlock, being the only clothie in the group. With the +15 damage Aldor Enchant it's 36 damage added.

I probably would have kept my old shoulders but I ended the run in a half-asleep haze.
