If the aura also affects the caster, this is quite a good item for its level. +3 intellect and +23 spell damage for 10 charges. Not to mention the relatively simple material costs.

Otherwise, it's mediocre.

The "use" effect on this item did not work for my character until I was level 38. Prior to 38, it gave a message "Target is too low". I couldn't rectify this by changing targets, dropping group, etc.

Also note that on my character sheet it adds +15 dmg to my melee weapons. I am a dw Shaman and it adds the +15 both while my weapons are buffed or unbuffed. I can't tell if it is actually adding the 15 dmg or if it is just a character sheet display issue.

The aura does affect the caster. It is applied to the caster in the form of a 30 minute buff. Others in the party within range see it as an aura buff w/o duration, much like they would Paladin auras, Totems, etc. And it fades from party members who go out of range.

For it's lvl i would say this is an extremely good neckalce, not just for the 'use' but for at lvl31 is it the only +spell dmg necklace and is for a long time, either 50 for a mage or 58 (outland for other). Also the intellect is okay for that lvl too.

For some reason, this use effect, increases the physical damage of my shaman, currently lvl 34. were talking from 30ish dmg to 50ish dmg, kinda weird O.o

No, upon unequipping this neck if you've used it for the buff, the buff disappears. So no equipping, buffing and swapping out to another neck.

I'm a 35 Tauren Shaman with this pendant equipped. Whenever I try to use it (whether in group or not), I get a "Target is too low level" error message. Anyone know why this is, or what level I might need to be to use it?

It's bugged atm and gives the message "Target is too low level" despite people being 36+ in my group/solo. No ETA on fix apparently.

Found the recipe for this in the chest when I completed The Torch of Retribution quest in searing gorge. The other person in my party who completed the quest at the same time did not.

The effect says 'Target is too low level' or some such if you attempt to use it at level 31 - when you can first equip it. At level 38, however, it worked just fine. It's possible other factors could have come into play, but it seems it's just not usable until then.

Theyre great, in theory, for a level 31.. But when bought it I was dissapointed to see that you can't even use the party buff untill level 38 or so.. which by then, it's already outdated and there are much better necklaces out there. u_u

I wonder - could you equip it, cast the party buff, then replace it with another necklace ?

In other words, is the buff dependant on wearing the necklace ?

I did some testing with this in AB today. Seems like you CANNOT equip this, cast its buff, and then equip another trinket. The buff will disappear and it will waste a charge. This buff/effect DOES NOT persist through death. You must recast it every time you die. I am not sure about zoning out or changing continents. I cannot tell if you can equip 2 at the same time, there was only 1 for sale on the AH and I nabbed it. Hope this helps answer some questions.
