The Void Crystals are going to be the equivalent to the Nexus Crystal in the Burning Cursade Expansion.

Although all the (vanilla) enchants that previously used this item now require small prismatic shards instead, the ability to turn nexus crystals into small prismatic shards can only be learned in Outland. Additionally, the other reagents for these enchants are generally Burning Crusade items, so if you don't have the expansion, you're going to have to buy the mats off of the auction house to create the enchants that used to be craftable without BC.

I could be wrong but it's never happened before...

New AQ enchants which require Cenarion Circle reputation are +15 Fire Resistance to Cloak and +15 Nature Resistance to Cloak.

I believe both (and probably some other enchants) require Nexus Crystals

DE'd one off of dreadmist mask...not that thats spectacular, but i wanted to note i saved 15 blues for 1.9 knowing that theres a very SMALL chance to get a nexus from a blue that gives large bril shard..1 out of 15 prolly isnt the ratio but i thought that was pretty lucky.

They'll be pretty rare to see on the AH.
Just burned 20 (high lvl) blue , and all i got was plain regular shards.

At any rate, there are plenty of guilds who disenchant epics just because nobody in the group needs the item. thats the way it is.. and this way they'll still get something useful out of the items. something for the guild bank, with which they can make their tanks and healers stronger.

epic items lvl 51 have a chance of d/e into a crystal. Higher lvl epics, say mc gear will generally always d/e into crystals. The big guilds who d/e epics will most likely be saving these for guild enchanters. You may see a few on the AH from people who got lucky on got a crystal from a low lvl epic, expect price to rise ALOT.

I was the main D/E person for our Scholo run tonight and the Dreadmist Mask dropped. Since we didn't have a 'lock, I D/E'd the item and this (too) turned into a Nexus Crystal. Keep an eye out on this item so we'd know if it will keep dropping the epic reagent as a result.

I highly doubt the prices will go down just for the fact that because they require an item of such great rarity, and that these are used in amazing enchants people will see that it would be ridiculous to "sell" level 50+ epics (d/e & sell shard) for less than 100. Besides that, if the shards come down to something like 10 or 20g, then those amazing enchants to gloves and such will be really cheap, which I doubt would ever happen. I would guess as people finally get recipies to use these the prices will go way up.

Due to patch 1.11,gaining entrance 2 the Necropolis instance will require u 2 give stuff 2 the Argent Dawn. the better rep u have w/ them the less stuff u give. It includes Nexus crystals. remember how much more things costed when the gates of the silithis desert were still closed? it'll be kinda like that, except more permenant.

the price on these has dropped to 10g on my server. There's usually about 10 int he AH fro 10-30g at a given time.

on here, people wrote about them selling for 120g not too long ago. What happened to to the price on these? Are there new, super-high level enchants that dont require them? Or does this have something to do with the expansion coming out... maybe jewelcrafting?

basically, once the expansion is out, will the price of these guys continue to fall as more people get epics to D/E, or will it rise because more people will want enchants that use them? Or will it fall because everyone will just go with jewelcrafting, which doesnt require nexus crystals?

Actually, as we all know, what really happened was that their price went down because of the new expansion, and when it came out, they introduced Large Prismatics along with some other mats and these became obsolete. I figure that the same will probably go on with some of the newer enchanting mats introduced with "The Burning Crusade" when "Wrath of the Litch King" comes out.

I have disenchanted Lv51+ greens significantly (over 200 times) and never once got a nexus crystal so I don't think it's possible.

I can't believe how much you all have been making off these!

I've been farming them in AH for a while now in Orgrimmar on Agamaggan. The highest I've ever made off them is 25g. I have 4 sitting in my bag right now because punks keep messing up the economy. I sell at 25, they sell at 23, 20, 19, 17, all the way down to 15. They don't realize that they can be making so much more money off of them. Anyway I ran out of money to buy them all, I bought as much as I could at the lowest price to resell them...it's just a pain waiting for these ones to get bought before I can sell mine at 25! Sheer frustration!

It goes like this, Every epic item of lv 54 or above automaticly disenchants into a nexus crystal. Epic items of higher lvl can be dissed into maximum of 3 nexus shards. A blue item of lv 54+ have a 1% chance of getting dissed into into a nexus insted of a large brilliant shard. Green items cannot be dissed into nexus by any meens... Hope this helps from some of all the confusion...

I did warlords command and took the reward 哈雷肯的笼口 100% disenchant into Large Brilliant Shard but woops I disenchanted it and got a nexus Crystal :) I was happy

As a good tip for you:
Considering that 51+ blues can disenchant to these (with a small chance, but still it's a chance), and at least on my server large brilliant shards are worth 5+ gold, try to bid for all 51+ blues in AH what are less than 5 gold. See if you win them, and they disenchant into a nexus crystal, you just made a lot of easy cash. If they turn into a large brilliant shard, you basically lose nothing :)

Still, the enchantment scaling is appalling. It goes from L.Brilliant Shards straight to 2 Nexus Crystals and IMO most enchantments are not even remotely worth the 150g or more you'd pay for just the Nexus crystals.

So I checked AH and nothing was in stock. So naturally I checked out the trade channel.

I run alot of instances... Strat and Scholo...

The only time I've ever disenchanted a blue into a Nexus was in Strat off the BoP pants from the Baron. The first was Dreadmist pants > Nexus, the second was Wildheart Kilt > Nexus.

Greeded both Nexus's .. =( I didn't win either.. heh.

Another thing, about someone saying purples de into purples, blues de into blues, so on and so forth...

I've d/e'd plenty of 56+ greens into Large Brilliant Shards... now if only I could have that luck w/ Nexus's and blues.. >.<

I just DE'd this from a Crest of Supremacy (lvl 51 blue shield) in ST. I nearly had a heart attack. I thought a blue had to be at least level 55 to have a chance of DE'ing into a nexus. Nope!

If i was a smart AH *!@#$ id probably buy out all the nexus crystals there are since they go for about 3-6g on my server the reason ppl sell them is cus they d/e their gear post-BC but eventually ppl will run out of lvl 60 epic gear and will be too lazy to go (farm) it in MC and demand will be high again for the decent enchants it provides then ou can make a decent profit there also the inflation of being a lvl 70 and therefore making more money will probably help theprices going up

ran Scholo with a bunch of guildies for Pre-BC enchanting mats cuz my enchanting is only 290 right now... well we had a bunch of drops i DEed and i got 6 of hese buggers... then i looked at enchats i can do and Sh*t myself

most of them DEed from the set that the last bosses drop in Scholo not the T1 stuff the like Necro-pile stuff and the peices of the other respective set

There has been no official word from Blizzard on whether epics obtained before Phase 5 will disenchant into Nexus Crystals, despite the rumors on the forums.
