If there were epic mechanostriders that had the normal models, I'd actually use my mechachicken... I don't care about the achievements proving who's been around, I just want a good looking ostrich mount.

These were the epic mounts sold before the new graphics were available. If you have one of these, you can complete a quest at the mount vendor where you just hand this in and you can choose one of the new style graphics mounts.

I, however, would never hand this in. They're not too common anymore and they're just going to be getting more rare.

This Mount used to be buyable before the 1.4 patch in Classic WoW.

It is one of the 14 unarmored Mounts that have been made unavailable with that patch.

Here's a list of all the unarmored Mounts:

暗夜精灵:

Horde:
Interestingly enough, the 亡灵 are the only race that didn't have any unarmored versions. This is because they've already had the armored versions in that patch.
