Assuming Blizz doesn't create an item that simply has a higher % or changes the extra-hit system, this item will scale forever. Whether you're getting an extra hit with a Dal Rend blade or an Ancient Qiraji Ripper, or even the 284 DPS Main hand in WoW's 4th expansion, an extra hit always scales with the weapons.

This really shines when you take tons of hits, like a rogue or fury warrior or even certain pally styles. Although not much is better than a free instant second 2h hit, there are simply fewer chances to get that 2% to proc with a slower weapon.

If you get this and don't use it for a while, keep it anyways, when BC comes out it might be the only one of it's kind.

Also, it stacks with all other super-haste/instant swing items/spells/abilities.

Since patch 2.0, the equip on this item was changed to a 'chance' to gain an extra hit, instead of a '2% chance'. This change might reflect that it won't scale as well anymore.

As a raiding warrior with MC/BWL dps gear, i can say tha this is one of THE BEST (if not the best) melee DPS trinkets out there. HoJ + Sword Spec + Windfury Totem = WTFDMG.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any Melee class.

This thing should be marked orange, I use it still at 70 with my lionheart blade and sword spec. I've had 2 extra attack right after another a countless times. I need to find a very very good trinket before this thing gets replaced. Really no matter what lvl you are, go get this trinket as warrior , rogue whatever.

It should be a legendary item.

"Chance on hit" is around 5%. The following is from wowwiki. Even though it states that it's a weapon property, the article describes the same statistic applied to Paladin seals and other items.

"A property of a weapon that has a power with a chance of activating on each hit. Sometimes the chance is listed as a percentage (%). Most often there is no direct indication of how often that "chance" occurs. Although there is no official documentation on how often a Chance on Hit works, or proc's, around 5% sounds likely."

When I was 60, I used the Halberd of Smiting which had the chance on hit to decapitate your target for ~600 damage. Same thing as the Doomsaw at level 60. Chance on hit was definitely more than 2%, which is what this trinket used to be.

One of the old benefits of this trinket being +2% (though now it's been changed to chance on hit) was that it could be added to the sword skill % increase, plus the sword spec talent % increase. However, changing this to "Chance on Hit" benefits all classes now.

As a sword spec HUMAN warrior with the racial ability for extra sword skill as well as the arms talent spec that adds additional weapon skill, with this trinket, I proc extra attacks all the time at level 70. Even though this trinket is a separate percentage that is not added in with the sword skill, but it's own proc, It still kicks in on a regular basis.

I can't imagine throwing this away ever.

here are my procwatch results:

hits :575
procs :14
time 09:18 (for those unfamiliar with procwatch, that is the time in-combat only)
hits/proc :41
procs/min :1.5

so that would be 14 procs out of 575 hits giving 2.4% proc. of course its going to vary but unless those were extremely lucky 9:18 minutes of in-combat time, the proc rate doesnt seem to have changed much from the original 2% chance. at least for me.

Thottbot says it can be dropped from General angerforge too, not only the emperor. You need the key to get to him thou. To get the key, you must die, Talk to a Forgewright in Forgewright's tomb inside BRM, take the quest, listen to his story, then you get a quest to go inside BRD, and the reward is the key to Angerforge. If he CAN drop the key, it's better to farm Angerforge rather than emperor. (im talking about lvl 70 solo if you want this trinket)

The trinket was changed even before tBC, and if i remember the patchnotes correctly the reason for it was to make it ppm rather than a fixed chance (turning this into a 2h trinket). I may or may not be wrong, so if any further tests are posted here please mention the weapon used

Dont know for other classes but my Prot paly has no problem getting to the emperor and taking him down solo.

He dropped HoJ last night , was curious if this thing procs enough to be worth it. Never expected anything useful to drop in BRD for my paly but this may be the exception.

Ill keep using , but in 10 min of playing with it, I didnt see anything in my combat log after each fight. Anyone know what this shows up in the combat log as ?

Im guessing I may be overlooking it.

Hand of Justice actually has a animation when it procs, it looks very much the same as the Undead Racial Will of the Forsaken, tho without the /roar emote. Its like a Purple/Blue circle around you.

first you get a 5% cahnce for an extra strike with yur spec
then trinket i have read any where from 1% to 5% chance to get an extra strike

Is it just me, or does this proc a lot more after patch 2.3? Now it can proc 2-3 times each fight, usually it proc'ed 1 time each 5th minute or so.

Coupled w/ Thrash Blade(https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=17705) (Mara quest reward) and Flurry Axe (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=871#dropped-by) (Epic world BoE drop) or two Flurry Axes this would be a swinging fest. Though only DW warriors could use flurry axe and thrash blade while DW shaman can use two flurry axes.

Attention fellow combat sword rogues:

I suggest getting Thrash Blade and this as soon as possible, with Hand of Justice.

In total this would mean that sword specialization = 5% chance for extra attack
Thrash Blade = 4.25% chance for extra attack
Hand of Justice = 2% chance for extra attack

Totalling 11.25% chance for an extra attack, also all can proc off each other so you may be getting 3 procs in a row or more.

Definitely keep this trinket until level 70, sadly it will eventually be replaced but until then it is simply an amazing trinket.

1st of all flame at my spelling or grammar all you want but just read the explanation before you start random rants (yes I’ve played wow for a very long time aswell)

All you people that "Know" this trinket should be replaced at 70 maybe you've just became level 70 and don’t know game mechanics yet.

In above posts they state its 1.33% proc at 70, many think big deal but be real! crits aren’t even close to the extra dmg a extra hit gives... criting is 200% more dmg (without talents) and a extra hit is 200%. This trinket is 1.33% more dmg and 1% crit is 0.5% more dmg, even at 70 1.33% crit is relatively hard to obtain (pvp trinket or BM trinket are only 2 available for easy gamers at 1.6%+1.8%) at 70 which is just above this dmg.

Lets say you have 25% crit (just to make it easier for me and its average crit for most blue geared people). The extra 1.33% chance to hit is a extra 1.33% chance to hit AND crit.

You have 266% dmg but factor in your crit to the hit so divide by 4 and add that to 266% (266/4=66.5% (this means u got 0.665% crit aswell making it 1.33+0.665=1.995% crit)) from critting with your extra attack so its really 266+66.5=332.2% extra damage from the trinket when procs on average instead of just doing a normal hit and getting the 100% normal dmg). This trinket is just as good as a 2.1525% crit trinket at 70. What would u prefer? a chance to do 200% more dmg (per crit) or a chance to do 332.2% more (on average) dmg. For example Hourglass Of The Unraveller is 1.6% crit, this is 200%x1.6=320% more dmg. Btw if your having troube thinking syaing a trinket DOESNT GIVE 332.2% MORE DMG! this is PER-CENT-AGE divide it by 100 and thats the % of damage you get over all, this is the % u get for a hit. 332.2% is 3.322% more damage, and 320% is 3.2% more dmg. Sounds reasonable now? -.- you just rounded the dmg to 1 in 100 attacks, (yes its 1.33% chance for extra and 1.6% crit not 1% but u calculated the dmg into % (100 hits aswell if u dislike %) and to find out 1% (1hit) divide it by 100.

Now that u understand this HERES THE BEST PART, this trinket proc’s with paladin seals (extra dmg that isn’t included in a extra hit and is often forgotten) extra rage for fury warriors (again this is forgotten) rogues have offhand spec (chance to obtain extra energy) and shamans have a chance to gain an addition windfury! Lastly are druids… Same as warriors + Rogues chance on hit/crit to gain extra rage/energy and Omen Of Clarity chance on hit to reduce next moves cost to nothing. DON’T FORGET! Most class’s have flurry (I know that’s on crit but chance to hit also is crit) or some sort of way to increase attack speed (cat form is 1sec attack time) so this procs more and more.

As i said at the top, to beat this trinket u need to have 1.995% crit trinket. Plus the effects (stated above)

Congratulations for all who’ve read this, your true WoW fans! I Currently Have a level 60 warrior (will be 62 probably by the end of today) and I’m not removing this trinket for any crit trinket. It was best dps trinket pre tbc for A REASON (I cried at lower drop rate pre tbc I ran BRD 34 times on my rogue and never dropped)

I go into a lot of detail for all class’s I even have my own files that balance out gear different and what I get per different spec from each attribute and what my average hit/crit will be fore every move for all melee class’s (I’m a melee fan and I cba spending ages debating on which piece of equipment is better so I spent 2 weeks making these). Also talents werent put into the calculation since there are talents and chance on hits that can different between gear and chance on crits. One of the main one being sword spec giving a bigger chance to proc chance on hits like this.

(Ps: Hourglass of the unraveler is also one of my TOP rated trinkets since 13.2 AP is 1DPS at 70 and having a small hidden cooldown compared to 2-3min cds i recommend it, will go into detail if asked :P)

I got this trinket currently equipped at my lvl 55 warrior, and I think it`s awesome! The proc itself is like another "Sword Speciliazation" ability, and if that wouldn`t be ebough it gives you 20 AP (heh, not the best, but)
I got a 70 rogue, so I know what melee dps trinkets there are, and for the poor, that doesn`t go the best raids etc, I think you can replace your "Uniting charm" or whatever trinket you use, and use this one instead, especially as a 2 hand wielder!

-_- just think a little bit when shamans wf procs thats 4 hits in a sec , if u are a shaman with DW and ur WF procs with with 2 wepons at the same time thats 8 hits and i think just ne hit would make a extra atack for u and there is also stormstrike and if u normal hit with ur wepons and WF procs then u hit with stormstrike with ur wepons and if u lucky wf procs with ur 2 wepons this is 4 wf in 2 sec and if every hit of ur WF is sucsesful hit that makes 16 hits in 2 sec what gives every hit of those 16 hits a chance to grant a extra atack that can be 32 atacks in 2 sec but this is a very very very small chance about 0.0002% chance of ur hit that this would hapen , just imagine if that hapens in a duel agains warior and u one shot him xD but i now this can hapen like it hapen to me when i was a 2H shaman i hawe one shot a mobb in SH normal i hited him for 2400 and then wf proct and i did 2400 2300 2550 and then i hit with stormstrike with which i did 2100 and wf proct and then i did 2000 2400 2200 it hapend all in 3 sec and it was amaizing i hited him for 17k dmg = ) i was stuned when i did that

im lvl 70 sword spec warrior. I ran a friend threw BRD on his priest when i was lvl 65 and this thing droped so i picked it up and checked wowhead on it saw the 1.33% at 70 and since i had only 1 good trinket i used it. This thing is amazing with sword spec is like adding another tallent point into sword spec + 20 AP. I have also noticed after killing many many mobs that for what ever reason this thing loves procing with or off of sword spec i just had 2 hits all crits for 2k eachs from sword spec then this baby procing for another 2k ill replace it in WoLK when its chance drops under 1% i will miss it :(

ps. this this can proc off any attack had it proc with a crit MS doing 7k dmg together on a shaman in s2 and of off execute and like the above pally said the burst dmg this thing can pump out on the first pull has wiped me in a few instances before :/

It will trigger off windfury. Windfury will trigger it, and most amusing of all, it will trigger off LIGHTING SHIELD! I checked recount to make sure thats what happened and it showed it..the 'attack' from the shield procced the swing!

just for the record people still use this at level 70 in arena mainly warriors, i seen high end season 4 warriors with this and sword specialist doing 2v2 with a resto shaman apperently they all dont share CD and it can do crazy damage whe it all procs together i will be looking forward to tring to this out when i have teh chance to farm it dont let the 1% put you off :P

This trinket is a legend in WoW history, it had truly glorious days until it's big downfall.. Blizzard saw the big threat and immense power from this trinket and made it significantly more difficult to get it and with after BC never ever introduced another item with this unique ability.

This trinket was pure gold in the past time, every Warrior will agree, it maybe was overpowered i don't deny this, but damn i will never forget the times of triple proccs as warrior, that was one of the few times in warrior's history, where he felt mighty and superior. In WotLK we get a cheap nostalgia plastic copy:Swift Hand of justice, of this once so great trinket. At least it has nostalgic value...

I highly suggest a comeback for trinkets with "chance to gain an extra hit" !

I don't know why, but this trinket doesn't work for me. On my 70 warrior, my combat log showed it proccing several times, yet never did the proc yield an extra attack- I just attacked once, like normal. Very disappointing...

I'm curious if it will get so low that it "flips" its numbers, much like how Icy Enchant was making targets attack faster instead of slower back in TBC - this trinket may go from 0.33% proc to 100% proc depending on level eventually.

Got this on my lvl 60 rogue twink, and i must say the proc is very unpredictabel. sometimes it proc's within mere seconds, and sometimes i can do 250 hits without a proc.

I tested it with Recount though, counted 3100 hits and only having this proc 33 times.
Very unpredictable in dps, and imo shouldn't be used for PvE if you have a good alternative.

Personally im hoping to get Drake Fang Talisman from BWL + Renataki's Charm of Trickery from ZG.
I do get to pwn someone extra fast in pvp sometimes when it does proc, wich is very nice, but it only happens every 12th kill or so, meaning the rest of the time i just got a trinket with 20 atp.

Quick number check. I have attempted to make this chart for the Proc chance of the Hand of Justice trinket. Please review my calculations and let me know if it is right or not and I will correct or delete if necessary.

I have analyzed the level scaling based off of the information provided that it is scaled down to 1.66 at level 70. That being the case if the scaling is not % wise then I made this chart:

WF has a three second cooldown; so it can't proc in 2 seconds. No one hitting warriors for you =].

Seeing as the Windfury is a passive ability, I thought it should be noted that it has what is called an internal cooldown, not just a cooldown.

Spent some time on my 80 Warrior hitting the Heroic Training Dummy. I had most of my gear unequipped to not lose durability, and for weapons I used 2x Dalaran Dagger.

Recount reported:
Melee 5261 attacks, 455401 damage, 84.5%
Deep Wounds (DoT) 2119 attacks, 80349 damage, 14.9%
Melee (Hand of Justice) 28 attacks, 2592 damage, 0.5%
Deep Wounds (DoT) (Hand of Justice) 6 attacks, 628 damage, 0.1%

28 procs / 5261 attacks = 0.0053, or 0.53% chance to proc. Time was 52 minutes, so that would be 0.5385 procs per minute.

I'd just like to point out that this item in concert with thrash blade and Ironfoe mainhand can chain trigger each other. I don't have a screenshot, but I'm being completely honest when I say that I have personally seen these items chain 24 instant attacks off 1 cheap shot. 4 of those attacks missed, and the other 20 attacks took the rogue I jumped down to 36% hp.

I unfortunately do not have a screenshot of this, but I'd swear on my WoW account that this occurred during the Burning Crusade expansion in Alterac Valley.

I suppose in any case it's at your discretion whether or not you want to farm these items on your alt, but I would strongly reccomend it as it lasted me up until level 65 and probably would have gone further if I didn't grow discontent with the top end I was seeing verse greens I was picking up.

It took me around 10 runs to get Ironfoe, and (lol) 13 to get HoJ. Keep in mind that when BC was released alot of items, including Ironfoe had their drop rates significantly increased. So it's not the 1 / 500 it used to be.

At Level 58 I have about 175 procs out of 13100 attacks for a 1.3% proc rate

It appears in the combat log as "{Player} gains 1 extra attacks". Determining which attack is actualy attributed to the trinket seems to be an inexact science.

In my observation, Recount will identify the attack that follows the trinket proc as the attack that will be duplicated and the next time that attack occurs, it is attributed to the trinket proc. I don't think the combat log is guaranteed to be in order of actual events, so it is possible for Recount to be inacurate. There may be a way for a combat log entry to indicate that it is a result of an extra attack (or it may have the same exact time-stamp). If not, then there is no derterministic way to attribute the extra attack.

I have this item and I don't think it works. Never once have I seen any procs. Stood at a target dummy and hit over 1000 times and no procs. Sent a ticket to Blizzard and they responded "Blizzard doesn't provide game tips" etc etc and referred me to the internet. Any ideas?

I'm doing some analysis on this trinket, after getting it this weekend.

I'm still going over combat logs, but here are a few observations. These are initial perceptions, and it will take parsing a lot more logs to be confident that these are fact, rather than initial observations:

The order of attacks shown in the combat log seems to not be a good way to determine which attack caused and which attack resulted in the Hand of Justice proc. If you really want to see what is going on, you need to use /combatlog This causes your combat log to be recorded to a text file for later perusal, and, more importantly, applies timestamps with thousandths of a second. I made some assumptions that turned out to be wrong when I just used JoChatTimestamp and watched the combat log in game.
If you duel wield, offhand attacks seem to cause mainhand procs most of the time. I'm going to need to go through some more logs to see if this initial result is accurate; my sample size is way too low to be sure right now. Initially, though, this is good news for duel wielders, since a fast offhand weapon can be used to trigger more powerful mainhand procs.
Hand of Justice can proc on Eviscerate, Riposte, Ghostly Strike, and Sinister Strike.
In my first test, I had one and only one case I could guarantee the Hand of Justice proc applied the Instant Poison on my mainhand. I would have expected it to happen a couple of more times than that, but, again, my sample size is pretty low.
If your attack is parried, it can still cause Hand of Justice to proc; I'm still looking to see if this is also true of blocks/misses/dodges.
I haven't seen a case where I can prove that Crusader procced off a Hand of Justice proc. I'm expecting this to be true, but with the stuff Blizzard screws around with behind the scenes in each patch, I'm going to have to see it to believe it. It shouldn't take too long to find out, though, since I just need it to proc off a mainhand proc caused by an offhand attack (since my offhand isn't enchanted with Crusader).

I'll come back and edit this with any further findings.

This has been a blessing in disguise. I went on two runs the other day and both times the Hand dropped. I don't know if that's a testiment to the increased drop rate or the luck of our group, but I see it as nearly impossible happening before the patch.

An easy way to get to the Emp is such: Go through the Garrisons and drop out the window onto the platform below the Shadowforge gate. If you don't use the key you can go out the first window and wait for the mob to path, otherwise jump out the second and try not to take a lava bath. Kill Incendious (bonus). Take a leap SW off his platform into the lava. Run along that wall until you get near the first big island. Head over to it and skirt the sides to avoid the Lava mobs. Take another swim to the wall West of the island and skirt it until you can't. Now you have the long swim to the 4 lava mob island. Get to it, skirt or fight the mobs there and then head to the ramp to the MC bridge. After that just run West and turn right and you're at the Lyceum. Mobs are non-elite and insanely easy. Work your way up one side. Light torch, across to the other, open door, clear room, kill Emp and claim HoJ.

About 20 minutes flat with good group.

In the subject you said a fast way to emp, but at the end of your comment you said to kill Angerforge. So are you saying that general angerforge and emp are the same thing? I know next to nothing about brd so if someone could clear this up for me that would be great =)

Does anyone know if Hand of Justice got nerfed/buffed/same? Because it no longer says 2% chance, now it just says chance on melee hit. I'm starting to check my combat log alot more but I didn't check it before, so I have nothing to compare, so I can't tell if its better or worse or the same. If anyone knows, thanks in advance.

Proc rate is diminished at 70, 500 swings, 1 proc.

Also: I got it in 1 run when I got it at 58. :P

I'm also a Sword Specced Rogue with Blinkstrike and HoJ

Proc rate for HoJ seemed to be right around 1% at lvl 70. Tested this using a combination of ProcWatch to count procs and CombatStats to get accurate counts for attacks that could trigger a HoJ proc. Based it on 5000+ hits to minimize statistical error.

In case anyone is wondering, Blinkstrike's Proc rate seems to be right at about 5% WHEN USING BSTRIKE IN MH WITH NO OFFHAND. When dual-wielding, it's overall rate seems to be right around 3% of all melee attacks (with Latro's in the OH - they make a gorgeous combo!).

Yes this will proc with WF because it is White dmg. So will any other weapons that have extra attack procs.

WF will not proc off itself that is the only limiting factor. Keep in mind that WF has a 3 second cool down so you will not get multiple WF procs within that time frame. Also WF will not trigger extra attack procs from weapons or gear.

I have a couple of lvl 70 warriors and I am a huge fan of trinkets, any of them from the Timbermaw trinket to the boot guzzler fire spouting trinket from down by VC. This one cuaght my eye not just as a collection addition but as useful for lich king lvl content. I spent about a week farming it out just downing the boss once a day in my spare time, and once I got it did some testing. The proc rate I get on a two handed axe is 38%, roughly I am getting about one proc per 4 slams that I do. Now my slam hits for on average 2k and I gotta tell ya I have a hard time taking this out of the slot cause that extra 2k every 5 seconds or so has been huge for me and I am even more excited about the oppurtunity this trinket suggests for when we are duel wielding two handers in lich, what will we be hitting for like 5-7k, imagine that, you proc this thing on your first shot on any boss or horde toon and they will be hurting bad.

Been farming it for on average 3 times a day with a mage a healer, misc class, and me for the past few weeks. It's really quick with the shortcut way through the lava but I haven't seen it drop yet. I hate everyone who got it on their first try >.<

I have sword spec with Obsidian edged blade and recently picked this up. Got a plugin for tracking procs and this procs around 2.2% of the time and sword about 6% ish. Both of them on, up to about 9, 10%, since they can proc together.

I am a 60 shaman and was wondering if it could proc on or with the additional attacks from WF, if it doesnt it still increases my chances of swinging my TUF more than once which i cant deny is a good thing and if on the 3 swings it "can" proc this wouldnt gain the additional 665 Ap but will allow me to atleast pop em for another 400-500 which i cant deny i would love, jsut wanting thoughts

Since I think sword talent and this proc are individual and you guys know nothing about math, scoring a double attack does not have 2% + 6% chance.

It would be this:
1 - (0.98 * 0.94) = 0.0788 = 7.88%

I logged on and a friend msged me to help him do jailbreak...so I went with him, we talked to maxwell, and he was on a shred of hope, so we needed to kill angerforge(this was my 20th run or so), I wasn't expecting it to drop with my luck, but I was so happy when it did. What was the cool the party was made up of a priest, 2x mage and 1 lock and me(warrior), so I just got it :)

Good luck to anyone going for it, I had it proc a lot today in AV.

This trinket procs @2% vs anyone that is level 60 and below.

but like all things that get reduced post 60( lifesteal, crusader etc. ), its not based of the level of the player useing it, its based of the target they are hitting ... so, for every level past 60 is procs 25% less than its previous glory ... so:

vs a 61 is 75% of 2%
vs a 62 is 56% of 2%
*skip some levels*
vs a 70 is 5.631% of 2% to proc ( thats .01062% )

determination is that it is completely worthless unless you like to gank people lower than level 60.

Well nice math you did there but what you have to realise is that when your considering such low numbers the difference is nothing, lets take my warrior for example base white dmg of 500 if he does that over 100 hits and gets 2 procs, then we have 5% extra swing from sword proc meaning 7% chance thats 7 swings extra out of 100, im horde and i get wf so this is even better,

Ignoring the math any swing no matter how low the proc chance is imba take a look at sword spec for example people will drop axes with there extra crit chance specced for a mere 5% extra swing because hitting someone again is nasty as hell compared to measly crit chance

my friend rogue and me killed angeforge over 30 times and finaly the trinket droped for my friend
he was a combat rogue ( adrenaline rush + blade flurry ) and me survival hunter. i can run trought all the brd mobs using feing death and shadowmeld. we sometimes killed him uberfast and have time to run away and stealth from the mobs that come when he is on low hp, but most of the times we just killed him, loot and die to adds but thats no problem because his drops pay easily our repair bills

No, this does not work for ranged attack. Found this out the hard way on my hunter. A few months after I got it i joined a new guild and when the MT found out he almost cried to find out I had it. He's done over 100 runs and never gotten it to drop.

Yes.
After 1.10 it only drops from the Emperor in BRD. But the Droprate is 10-20% now.

this is the best trinket for one handed i think

2handers generaly do more damage and seeing how its a 2% chance to get a free instant attack, a 2hander gets the most for your money.

This trinket is spectacular. Every melee character in my guild grinds through BRD repeatedly for it since it is not only as good as an epic, it is nearly as rare. My Rogue was blessed with one while aiding some lower levels with another guildmate. It really helps with both attack power and the amazing chance for an extra swing. I switched off both my Maelstrom card and Seal trinkets which I had been shifting between for it, and it was definitely the right choice.

Simply put - this is one of the very best melee trinkets in the game, easily the best blue, and there is not a single fighter-type who does not benefit from it.

To put things in comparison: The Heart of Hakkar melee trinket (assuming you swing enough times to fully utilize the bonus decay within the duration) adds a maximum adition of 420 damage as a use, as opposed to a passive effect. As soon as your white damage, including whatever you normally wear on your blades (Poisons, sharpening stones and enchants) exceeds that number this trinket outpaces the epic reward easily. An extra swing can crit or be part of another proc, the Hakkar effect cannot do either.

The only shame is that you have to grind BRD for it, and no one likes doing that. No, you cannot solo for it, as the boss has adds and summons more after the fight. On the bright side you have to go back to BRD a hundred times over your character's lifespan for various reasons, so you can always stop by the boss and take a stab at it.

Second run, thank god! I was reading up on here, and saw so many peole that have not had any luck getting this to drop. Gotta thank my guidies out on this one. Who wants to run an alt through brd when naxx is happening in an hour?

I helped out a Rogue friend to get it in BRD som we farmed this boss for three days, me (60 shaman), 60 rogue, 60 hunter and 60 priest. We 4-manned this most of the time and became experts at this boss.

We didn't do this the whole day every day but a couple of hours every day and it was very fun. The rogue got this trinket and some blues and one epic dropped from random mobs as well as loads of green items.

Do not expect this to drop lightly, it does require more than 20 runs.

So, I don't know how to calculate procs, but I'm lvl 70 warr, furry and I was farming blue dragons in winterspring, elites ones. I've noticed that I get proc from trinket (in combat log) at every 3 / 4 dragons, They are 56 - 58 elites, so ... u can estimate if u want.
trinket I got from emperor at first run and after never dropped, even if I boosted some friends there around 7-8 times after.
Personal, I find it very useful, even at 70.
Combination intercept-cleave-berseker rage-whirlwind-sweeping strikes-bloodthirst-cleave and u can kill 3-4 mobs at a time, lvl 68 as elfes in Manaforges from netherstorm.

Well it doens't say 'Use' or 'Equip' which means you can have it in your inventory and still use the other 2 trinkets you wan't instead!

And If you are a rogue / dual-wield warrior you would hope more for 安格弗的剑 which I had and it procced when it should. But you only keep it till you have Dal'rend MH.

As an average, 2% chance for an extra hit is equivalent to a basic increase of melee-based DPS by 2%.

Don't believe me? Let's do the math:

If you do 100 hits over 100 seconds of 10 damage per hit, over the 100 hits, your damage is 1000 points for a basic damage per second of 10. How quaint.

If you do 100 hits, a 2% chance should go off twice, for two extra hits. Now, we've done 102 hits over 100 seconds of 10 damage each for a total of 1020 damage. That makes a damage per second rating of 10.2.

First example's damage of 10 increased by 2% equals... *drumroll* 10.2! Awesome! Can I get a 'woot woot'?

While this is a very nifty trinket, it is possible to do better.

For the people who think this post is too sarcastic, please realize that not everyone sees the numbers without actually seeing the numbers.

The proc scales with gear, which is what makes this trink so great. Even if the 20 AP bonus becomes less and less noticeable, the extra attack will benefit you all the same, even as your gear becomes better and better. :D

It dropped for me in March of 2008 from Emp, 2nd run through BRD. So Yes Still drops. But don't hold your breath if you want to farm Angerforge for it (0.08% (16 drops out of 19,120 kills). Subsequently, in the 15 some runs to the Emperor we never saw it again.

% to procs do not add. Having 6% from the talent and this does not give 8% to happen. If you have 50% chance of heads or tails, flipping a coin twice does not give you 100%.

I'd dump my Blackhand's breath (+2% crit) , or maybe the Darkmoon Maelstorm card (chance to deal 200-300 nature damage on hit) to get this baby. Its great for pve dps, especially in those looong boss fights during which all I'm doing is hacking away on a boss's ankle the entire time.

I don't think its worth using for pvp though, I'd prolly swap out the Maelstorm card and this trink when Im doing pvp or pve, respectively.

We defeated Angerforge about 10 times last night and haven't seen this drop. I'm starting to think that the Emperor is the one actually holding on to this. Has anyone confirmed a drop in Classic 2019?

Hot tip for rogues/druids looking to get this in Classic: If you get a group of 2 other stealthy friends you can all sneak in and 3-man Angerforge. A rogue can distract the adds that come in from the stairs and you can stealth away without fighting them as soon as you kill and loot the boss. The drop chance is low so it can take a while for everyone to get one but it's more reliable and faster than finding new groups constantly and having to roll against different people.

I'd just like to share my experience, as I felt like I have done nothing but run this dungeon over and over and over and over...

After precisely 107 General Angerforge kills, he dropped Hand of Justice 3 times. Finally got it after the 3rd drop.

3/107 * 100 = 2.8%

The approximation of a 3% droprate seems to be accurate.

After 100 runs i haven't see a single trinket drop....just to share my experience...how much runs i have to do for this!up a little bit drop rates blizz plz!

Me - combat rogue, sword spec. Currently at 106 runs farming it, only one drop in total - lost to a warrior, no drop after that. I'm hopeless. It seems that everyone I inspect has the trinket equipped, warriors, other rogues, even HUNTERS... The drop rate is so broken, some people got it in 5 runs, a friend of mine did actually 15 runs and saw it drop twice. Breaks my heart to read comments of other people that got it on their frist run. Is there any WoW justice? I cannot be the only one being so unlucky, or am I?

Finally got mine after close to 100 runs. Easy 2 man farm with my warrior & guildie healer (both MC Geared). Approx 17-20 mins per run without skipping or glitching, just following the main route and clearing arena on the way.

A discovery: not only does it proc for feral druids, if you're spamming Maul in bear form the second hit can also be a Maul. Might work similarly with other "next melee" abilities from other classes?

my rogue was duo farming this with another rogue and we got 2 dropped after 44 runs. Here are some tips for those who also want to duo farm it:

1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E85USEsWcMk This video really helps. My following items only complement this video.
2. we don't have riposte spec'ed but I think it would be better to have it because sometimes RNG just fk you and angerforge kills you within 3 hits even though you have evasion up
3. bring a lot of health potion since they are very cheap but can save your lives when RNG is really bad
4. we were having problems with our threats where angerforge doesn't switch to another rogue when my evasion is over because his threat is too low. After some trial and errors, we thought that he should pop his AR 5 seconds after I pop AR so that after I feint he can take the aggro. You can adjust this time based on your DPS difference.
5. bring a lot of thistle tea
6. when RNG is really bad, just vanish and wait for cooldown resets

Heres som drop confirmation and some fresh tips/info...

Soloed Angerforge 40+ times with no drop... Last night my buddy and I duo´ed him and after around 10 runs it finally dropped for me... We did 3 more runs and it dropped for my buddy aswell... We where ecstatic to say it mildly :D

I startet soloing him in full blue with Sword of Zeal and Hanzo as off... It was tough but was doable with allot of bandages, Major HP pot, Stam food, Rumsey Rum stam buff, Greater agi elixier and an occasional Fort buff from priests... I used Drakefire Amulet and Onyx cape for the Destroyers and where able to fully resist allot of fireballs I couldnt glitch out of.

The investment in the buff food/pots paid off (especially in the beginning) as the runs where allot more consistent. It does give a good chunk of gold and I actually still made profit inspite of buying them from AH...

As my gear got better I could kill him faster and allot more consistently without dying. The first runs took about 25 min and I was around 15min with blue pre bis gear with 3 T1 pieces and ZG shoulders... Still with same weaps.

Bring a fellow rogue/drood and breeze through him in about 10 min pr. run...

Happy hunting :)... and and you might wanna hurry, HoJ will move to Emperor in phase 5, not sure that will be soloable...

In TBC, the extra attack % chance scales down the same rate as crit rating from level 60 to 70. So at level 70, the proc % is about 1.3% instead of 2% at 60.
