For this achievement does the insignia of the horde you get from hellfire fortifications not count. I was wondering because I just got said insignia but no achievement. So was curious if this a bug glitch or do you need to buy one with honor.

Easiest way to do this for a level 80 is to farm the honor for the cheapest insignia

you can buy one for the achivement and return it to the vendor and you get your honor back

It seems that the new medallion of the horde (108 Resillience) does not count towards this achievement.

if you are Horde, you can go to the place where they sell honor gear in ogrimmar, visit the level 60 honor gear merchant and buy insignia of the Horde for about 2800 honor (you cant turn it back for a honor refund) so this is prolly the cheapest way to get it.

I haven't been able to verify this myself, but I don't think the https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=44097 (Inherited Insignia of the Horde) counts towards this achievement, as it is not in the Criteria. Just a heads-up if you are gonna buy it for this achievement.

Also make sure you don't buy a medallion and try to sell them back since you cannot sell any medallions back to the vendors due to this achievement.
