Solo'd as a 70 hunter. Follow the picture guide here https://www.wowhead.com/cata/quest=7487#comments:id=16355 to pass all of the mobs up til the Molten Core entrance. When you get to the final bridge, make a right instead of a left. Open the door at the bottom of the ramps. A /tar Shadowforge Flame Keeper macro is helpful to find the torch carriers in the room with all of the level 52 AoE-able mobs. Light the two torches, kill the giant boss, and go into the next room. KILL EVERYTHING IN THE LAST BOSS' ROOM OR YOU WILL DIE WHEN YOU AGGRO HIM. Don't repeat my mistake. :-)

This quest chain starts with The Smoldering Ruins of Thaurissan from Royal Historian Archesonus who is standing next to the king.

Doing all of Blackrock Depths solo can be a fun challenge.

If youre looking to do the achievement quickly and have the shadowforge key here is a tip; once you get to Lord Incendius you can do the 'lava swim' that skips you to the 2nd to last room where you have to light the beacons. if youre facing the hallway with all the fire elements jump in the right side of the lava, if youre facing the room with Fineous jump left. stop at each little island and heal up. the fire elements shouldnt aggro. you will stop on about 3 islands before you get to a little ramp further up, go left off the ramp and boom light those torches and youre just moments away from the Emp

Ok, heres how I did it as a level 80 druid with the key for in here, but having never completed the place before.

Find someone with a direbrew remote ( or use your own if you have one).

Go to the upper level of the bar, go to Pugger Spazzring, and buy 6 dark iron ale mugs.

Go to Private Rocknot and go the quest to give him the ale 3 times (using all 6 ales)

Wait by the door that says it needs a key until Private Rocknot messes with the big ale barrel opposite and the door gets opened.

(I stealthed at this point to avoid the level 55 elite, but apparently you can run through without if you are fast enough)

Follow altasloot map to know where you are going.

In the one room you have to speak to the undead guy by the door to get the door open, this involves killing each of the neutral guys in the room one by one (they turn red each in turn)

In the 2nd to last room you need to kill a shadowforge flame keeper each side to get fire to light the brazier with, that will open the door.

Kill the elemental in the corridor (2nd to last boss)

Door opens to last boss - it is advised to kill the adds in this room as they aggro when you hit the boss. I didn't and killed the boss, got the achievement, but then was 1 dead kitty.

I'm really confused. Since this is such an old instance, most of the comments are very, very old. Does this instance still need the Shadowforge Key? Does a Rogue need the Shadowforge Key? Killing Emperor Dagran Thaurissa is the last achievement in Classic Dungeon Master, that I need to get. I was trying to get it now, before Cataclysm changes everything. I'm not sure it will be there afterward.
