The first time I've ever seen two achievements with the same name: 死从天降 (yeah, I've seen the From/from difference but still). After all they are added in the same patch. Odd.

The drones come out downstairs, and only go up top if they aren't killed before their energy runs out. They then drain some from Beth'tilac, who casts smoldering devastation (forcing everyone upstairs to come down) when her energy runs out.

So, it seems to follow that the strat would be to get the drone low downstairs, but not kill it. Keeping it from consuming spiderlings would continue to be very important. It didn't seem like drone1 ran out of energy before smoldering devastation1, so you'll probably have to have a guy tanking during the fiery rain aoe.

Then whenever a drone runs out of energy it goes upstairs, and whichever dps you have up there kill it quickly. If I'm imagining this correctly, there will be at least 1 alive during the final burn phase; your tanks will have to do some double-swapping and/or double-tanking, and your heals will be more stressed, and your dps will need to end the fight more quickly.

I haven't attempted this achieve, but it seems perfectly doable, if I'm imagining it correctly.

Update: did this achievement this week, and yeah that's pretty much how it goes. Not a difficult achievement, assuming everyone knows the fight.

We did this on 10HC tonight, we was a bit confused as you end up with a couple of drones left over in Phase 2 but just keep them alive when she dies and you will get this achievement.

Be careful when doing this achievement, be sure to kill the drone when it is up top asap. When it is a done draining enough energy from Beth'tilac the drone will be immune to death for a few seconds and begin to drop down at which point it no longer counts for the achievement.

A GM also said "If all drones were killed up top and none reached the floor a second time and the achievement was not earned, then something may have gone wrong." which makes it seem that if a drone actually makes it to the top it MUST be killed and not allowed to hit the floor again.

The in-game achievement tracker showed a pass the entire fight even when we killed the drone as it started to drop again but we did not get the achievement; we figured it would still count so it was easy.

Normal or heroic you will end up with 2 drones left on the bottom during the burn phase.

I noticed it hasn't been said specifically here so i thought i'd clarify.

If you're trying this achievement with a group of decently geared people, you can COMPLETELY ignore the drones. Have them offtanked by a decently geared tank, keep 1 healer and 2 ranged downstairs to handle the spinners/spiderlings and send everyone else up the top. When she landed for us after the 3rd devastation, she was at 30% hp, then we just popped hero and burnt her for our achievement.

We attempted (and succeeded) with the following:

(Majority of raid is DS normal/lfr geared)

2 tanks, 3 heals, 5 DPS.

Druid tanked ALL drones, picked them up as they came out of the caves and as they came back down from top of web after they ascended when their energy ran dry.

Warrior (with Vengeance on druid) taunted on all Spinners down.

DPS kill Spinners and Spiderlings.

NO ONE goes up, NO ONE touches the Drones.

When Beth comes down, the Warrior picks up and all burn down Beth while keeping both tanks topped as best you can.

Read the achievement and believe it. We did. As long as the DRONES do not die on the lower level you will achieve.
