This is easy, just have anyone (even of opposite faction) hit the stone then go up and kill the dragon. then you hop down and hit the stone and turn in the quest. simple yet it gets the job done

I'm finding it slightly annoying trying to get this mostly because there are a few factors that work against you:

1 - If other people are doing the quest and you start the event right after, the stone giant will despawn while you are fighting the dragon resulting in him not being right at the bottom to turn in. I'm not sure if this is like the "Rapid Defense" achievement where the turn in time also counts towards the 90 seconds but this is something you need to keep in mind.

2 - If you do start the event when no one is around, apparently if you jump on the rocks early, sucks to be you because the giant will grab you back off the rocks and throw you on to the lowest rock again and you have to jump all the way back up essentially costing you a good 5-10 seconds off the counter.

3 - Tracking it doesn't give you a timer so you have no idea if you've gotten it or not so you can only gamble. Essentially you have no idea when the timer starts or ends.

So I just got this achievement and here are a few things of note:

1. You can skip rocks when you're going up. It doesn't save much time, but a few second may be precious.
2. When the event is over, you can mount and use the Leave Vehicle button to buy about 10 seconds.
3. You can turn the quest into the Terrath at the Pale Roost (40,19). Maybe this is a phasing issue (I have 115/125 quests done) but I was definitely able turn into him. You can check whether he's there before you start and he should have the option to turn in.

The most important thing to note at the moment is that apparently, you can just screw it up as much as you want and then hit the rock when you hop off before turning the quest in. It currently causes the timer for the achievement to reset.

The daily quest is available randomly throughout the week once you are Revered with Therazane.

It's currently bugged and very easy to get. Do the quest and complete it and let the timer run out. Hit the rock again and turn in the quest. It gives you the achievement.

2. When the event is over, you can mount and use the Leave Vehicle button to buy about 10 seconds.

Using the Leave Vehicle button from the top level of the floating rocks WILL kill you, and attempting to use any mount will eject you in exactly the same way as using the Leave Vehicle button. This is a tip for druids (i.e. instant-cast mounts) only.

Edit: If I'm wrong, by all means, tell me why. I've eaten three deaths this way, but it's entirely possible I missed something that allows you to mount before ejection. Either way, rating me down without explanation doesn't help anyone; enlighten us on how to mount up there. :D

I just tried this with a guy who had the normal quest....we were fairly certain we did it within 90 seconds - but I did not hit the crystal he did! And I didnt get any achievement!

Here is what I did.

1. Tag the crystal.
2. Mount up.
3. Fly to the fighting ring.
4. Dismount near a stone, then right click it to jump on, this saves you from having to jump on each rock.
5. DPS as hard as you can until you have about 30 seconds on your timer.
6. Start jumping down the rocks. When you get close enough to the ground where you won't die, click the leave vehicle button. If you have a parachute cloak, you can save the hassle of jumping down the rocks
7. Once you're on the ground, tag the crystal again and you have another 90 seconds to finish her.
8. Once she is down, mount up, leave vehicle then fly down to the quest NPC and enjoy your achievement.

(This works as of Dec 13 whilst at 13k/21k rep, and the NPC still comes to you, so you don't have to fly back to Therazane's Throne)

I tried to retag the crystal on the decent but the timer did not reset .

However, on the descent I left the drake on about 40% and abandoned the quest, and recollected it. When I returned, she was still on 40% so I could easily drop her to the required health in order to complete the quest. Had about 1min 15 seconds spare.

I did this today, another player did the quest properly and then hit the crystal (and then handed the quest in to get the achieve). The giant then despawned but as he created the rocks I was able to go up and kill her. The quest itself still had "strike the crystal" as an objective, so I did that and handed the quest in and got the achieve by accident.

I had just tried it before using a manual /timer and was on about 1:32 when I hit the ground to hand the quest in so I think saving a few seconds - better gear and skipping some of the rocks jumping up as well as heading lower as she got low on health and dropping would have been possible to do this legitimately.

This happened to me by accident, but if some one hits the stone with the hammer first and you tag the Broodmother first(without hitting the stone yourself), u get the credit for the kill on the quest. If done right, you won't start the timer on the achievement, leaving u with only having to strike the stone with your hammer to finish the quest, and that will set the timer off.

If the questgiver is their like he was for me you'll get it done in less then 5 sec's :).

ok just did this acheezment... really simple, do it the normal way you are supposed to without all this mounting up or jumping off the rocks stuff.

when you get the dragon to 45% or so stop and dismount the vehicle and die. what this does is keep the dragon at 45% when you rez. Now all you have to do is wait for the timer to run out and start the event over again and the dragon is at 45% when you start, it kill him in like 10 seconds, float down turn in quest, boom acheezment done.

P.S. track the acheezment to see when the timer runs out

This is a easy achievement. All you have to do is...
1.Get a buddy.
2.Tell your buddy to hit the crystal.
3.Invite your buddy.
4.Kill the drake
5.Hit the crystal
6.Turn the quest in.
You should have it now.

You know. I just finally got this this morning. I've posted above about various issues I've had with this.

All I did different this time was strike the crystal. Idiot giant still pulled me down after I was already up there DPSing her, I was the only one around this time so he wasn't there initially.
I got her to 175k when I knew I wouldn't make it, so I started down the rocks. She did not follow me down. At the third rock up she wasn't even attacking me.
I waited for the timer to run out, struck the rock again, made my way up and got her down. Then as the rocks started falling I exited vehicle at a point where I wouldn't die and turned in.

Don't read what you see here as the only way to do this as Blizz seems to be changing how this works and the variables of if you are alone, people around, getting partners, etc is ridiculous. It's a daily, so just play with it a little.

I just did it alone, with nobody around. Did everything totally normally, except that after I floated down with the rocks my time appeared to have run out, so I hit the crystal again. The timer restarted and I handed in the quest and got the achievement.

Of course, who knows if it'll be the same after the next hotfix? But that's how it was today.

So as far as I can tell, the method for cheesing it is simple in essence:
1) Get credit for the kill, by whatever method works for you.
2) Strike crystal, then hand in quest within 90 seconds of striking it.

I can confirm that tagging the crystal after making her surrender, works. I tagged it and jumped up the rocks, downed her, jumped off and tagged it again. The timer gave me 1:30 to kill her although she was already dead and I turned it in. That's it, then I got it. Good luck everyone!

Currently, a lot of the above options have been hotfixed, or appear to be flukes.

I had rang the crystal, mounted and then went up out of the giant's range in order to wait to enter a rock-vehicle, but he dismounted me, grabbed me and threw me on to the bottom rock anyhow.

So, I decided to try plan B on the fly, which was skip the second and fourth rock, get within ranged dps distance of the broodmother and then let her have it with all I had. As my dots were ticking, (I'm a shadow priest), I simply began to descend again, refreshing as I needed. By the time I got to the bottom rock and out of her range, she'd submitted so I left vehicle in a hurry and clicked the quest turn in with about 15 seconds to spare.

Edit: I'd like to point out that I didn't have the luxury of someone else tagging, or others trying to complete quest and thus tagging. This was without a soul in sight so I had to start the event myself.

I'm not sure if anyone pointed this out exactly or not, but if someone else hits the crystal before you, DO NOT hit it again. This will cause the quest giver that stands next to the quest to despawn and you will have to go back to the throne to turn it in. The timer for this is set up so that you will only get the achievement if you turn in the completed quest within 90sec of hitting the crystal. All you have to do if you see someone on the quest is help them defeat the dragon(you don't have to be in a group or even the same faction) and then hit the crystal when you are back on the ground. This way the quest giver stays put and you get the achievement with time to spare.

This is how i've done it ALONE (by accident). Took the quest, hit the crystal, started a fight, and hit the dragon till about 100k hp has left. Then jumped down, throw out the q (because i thought i want to try doing achv again), took the q again, and when i got back, dragon was still flying with 100k hp left. So i hit the crystal, killed the dragon in like 15 sec, and got the achv.

Hi. I just did it a few minutes ago. Someone had started the q just before I arrived so I taged the crystal while he/she was doing it. I got on the rocks and in about 15 sec we downed her. I jumped of the rock by clicking leave vehicle button and turned in the q.

Just did this today found a new glich ok all u have to do is finsh the quest make sure it is completed and wait for the area to reset when it does hit the crystel and when dude walks up turn in the quest lol

Instead of trying all the round about ways to do this, just try to dps her down normal.

You need around 5.4k~ dps to get the quest done in time, I had around 25 seconds to spare doing this solo at 9k dps.

Most easy Achievement ever. This is how i got it:
another player hit the crystal, the dragon spawned and i tried to tag the mob, but i didnt get it, so it turned grey and i decided to leave the place and come back later, since there were many ppl doing it. When i reached the ground, the player who tagged her got her down and i got the "Aeosera defeated 1/1". So i just hit the crystal and done!

I would like to confirm that "ksog's " method mentioned above works. Just did it today. Jump up onto the rocks, "kill" the dragon, float down, hit the crystal, and turn in the quest, you get achievement.

Hit Rock.

Mount up.

Fly up to a stone next to dragon.

Dismount and click said stone.

Kill dragon. (Jump to other stones as you kill it)

Wait for stone to get close to ground as it falls.

Dismount from stone.

Turn in quest.

Bugged indeed as of the time of this post, all you need do at the moment to get this is dismount in mid air and chain click one of the platforms so you land on it when someone is fighting the broodmother (doesn't matter who or their faction) and aid in her defeat.

When she goes down and you get credit for her defeat simply hit the crystal then hand in the quest and you will get the achievement, easy peasy.

I can confirm as that as of today, I struck the crystal while two hordies were doing the quest (I am alliance), helped nuke the dragon, pinged the crystal again upon landing by falling with stones, and got the ach.

I just did this achievement in a different way, that actually worked. If you see someone who's already fighting the broodmother, start attacking it and do not think about striking that pale crystal at all. Just make sure you get the surrender of the broodmother first. Once that's done, then head on down, strike the pale crystal and turn in quest. As I discovered your 90 seconds doesn't count until after you strike the pale and between handing in the quest. so let's see. 10 seconds lost for jumping up, 10 seconds lost for jumping down and 10 seconds lost for turning in the quest if you do it the way blizzard says. So in reality, you only got 60 seconds to defeat her and not 90. If you do it my way, you don't have to even worry about the timer at all. Just defeat first, and then strike the crystal after you get the complete defeat. Hope this'll help y'all! :-)

the daily quests are random

For me, so far, Glop, Son of Glop has appeared 4 days in a row while Lost in the Deeps and Restless Brood have not appeared at all. So I am assuming one of two things:

Of the three dailies, only one can be active at any one time (ie: Glop, Son of Glop is active for me, so the others won't appear while Glop, Son of Glop is showing)

and/or

The random factor is glitched

Confirmed as well. Defeated her and hit the crystal when I got on the ground it reset the timer and questgiver was still hanging out beside it.

Also, Glop, Son of Glop has appeared 90% of the time since I've opened Therazane dailies. I've completed the achievement already as well. Restless Brood has appeared maybe 3 times...and the Pebble has only come up twice. Idk if it's RNG or what the determines the way these dailies are chosen. But would be nice to see the other 2 and not just Glop.

I was looking to do this achievement today.. I showed up to kill her and someone was already in the middle of the fight. I noticed her portrait wasn't greyed out, so I figured I'd jump in and try to get it. So we both killed her, and I got the quest updater(I hadn't hit the crystal yet) saying I got credit for killing her. I then fell off the rock and died(I wasn't paying attention so I didn't go flight form). I quickly flew back, hit the crystal, and turned in the quest. Got the achievement. Easy cake.

Paladins can bubble
Priests can Levitate
Rogues have Safe Fall
DKs can use glyphed Path of Frost
Druids can fly or use Feline Grace

Engineers can use their parachute cloak or enchant
Anyone revered with Sha'tari skyguard can use Skywitch's Drape
Anyone who has completed Look at the Size of It quest can use Evonice's Landin' Pilla
Any horde that can equip shields can get Olaf's All Purpose Shield

The achievement text is very specific, and almost gives the tricks to doing it away
you have to turn it in 90 seconds after you strike it. So.. finish the quest, then stirke it again, then turn it in. It's not hard people!

I flew over to do this quest and found someone else already fighting the dragon. I hopped up the rocks and helped kill it and got credit then realized I still needed credit for the stone. So I hit the stone and walked 20 yards or so to the quest giver and turned in. BAM achievement!

Its easy as hell:

1 - get the quest
2 - hit the stone and kill the dragon
3 - let the timer run out (yes i said let it run out)
4 - hit the stone again and the timer starts over :)
5 - turn in the quest...done and GRATZ!

The quest giver can usually be found right where you did it or just nearby at the pale roost, plenty of time to get there. Completed this 1/27/11

Not to be rude or anything, but did people actually try to kill it without "exploiting" before making a real attempt? I Just finished the achievement from the first time without using any kind of exploit. Just talk to the guy, jump up, kill the dragon and turn in the quest. I had 27 seconds left and yes the dragon was at 100% HP when I started.

I'm writing this as a Destruction Warlock blue (heroic) geared (average item level 346).

Confirmed again today that you can get credit by hitting the stone AFTER you defeat her. They have not yet hot fixed this.

Watch the timer and if you are close, use the eject option. The turn in is located at the base of the stone now at roughly 5-o-clock, but takes 3-5 secs to turn in. Time your turn in appropriately or hit the stone again if needed.

I also confirmed today that the timer is active. Place the achievement on tracking, the timer will show under the achivement.

I DO, however, run Achieve More addon. I'm not certain if the timer is from the addon or in-game.

The range issue can play havoc for range dependent classes... i.e. melee and hunters.

- For the melee you lose alot of time jumping to rocks that are out of range due to lack of options.
- For hunters, you spend half of your alotted timer in melee range, unable to shoot.

Stone selection is crutial, but limited. Please consider all class mechanics before being critical.

One of the stone platforms while killing the dragon will be encased in a shiny glowing bubble. Not entirely sure if it amps up DPS, but it does provide a generous mana regen buff when standing in it. Depending on which stone gets the bubble, it might prove difficult for melee to stand in and DPS.

As an arcane mage, the mana regen allowed me to burst at will and kill the dragon fairly quickly.

The most important thing to note is that the special rock falls to the ground much more quickly than the others when the dragon surrenders. It allows you to turn in the quest that much quicker.

don't worry about trying to defeat the dragon in the time limit. Achievement says complete quest in 90 seconds all u have to do as other people have said is strike the crystal after u defeat dragon and achievement done just did this today and it works although the npc was already there so i didn't have to strike the crystal the first time

Turning the quest in with 1 second to go, might cause you to not get the achivement. It did for me. I hitted the 'complete quest' button with 1 sec to go, and I didnt get it.

Done easily alone. Use the mallet. Go up, and put the dragon to 10 % or so.
Go down rock by rock, and on the last rock, jump out. Make sure you get to the ground
before the timer is gone. Use the mallet again: it will restart the counter. Go up again,
finish the dragon, the rock goes down and you land with over a minute left. Hit the rock
again, and finish the quest at the NPC that appears : done.

All you have to do is go back to the ground if the timer is going to finish, hit the
rock again with the mallet, go up again, repeat as much as required. Once dragon
is dead, use item, finish quest.

Very easy.

As a prot warrior I was concerned about dps'ing her down without any rage, so i tried the hammer trick. Hit the stone with the hammer, hopped up on the rocks...took like 4 minutes to kill her without rage, lol, and then when I got back to the bottom, hit the stone again with the hammer and my achievement tracker started the timer all over again! So I walked the 5 feet and turned the quest in and got my achievement. Really was much easier than I thought, ..too easy perhaps, but the trick is in the wording I guess. Doesn't say you have to kill her in 90 seconds, it just says turn quest in after hitting stone within 90 seconds. Good luck!

Trick still works - just got it on 6th June 2011. One difference appeared - when you killed dragon and re-hit mallet, q giver automatically grabs you and throws at nearest rock. But you just have to use 'leave vehicle' and go to him (about 5 yards). 90 sec more than enough for this ^_^

The way I did this was:
Get the Daily, fly to the place, hit the crystal, abandon the quest, fly back to the Therazane area and get it back again, fly back, wait for the timer to reset, land on the rocks (the dragon came a few seconds later), kill it, then talk to the stone giant who's right by you on the ground.

Easy achievement :) Sad my dps wasn't high enough to get it the "legit" way, but eh, thinking outside the box still counts, and I'll still try to work on getting the achievement the real way by timing myself whenever I get it.

As patch 4.2

Just completed. I made it a little bit harder. Maybe you don't need to do this... or maybe yes...

I've started it, mount up, dismount and jumped on the rocks on the top. Then the dragon arrived and kick me at the ground :(
So I came back on the top but the time was late, I've tried to jump down using Divine Shield and hitting the crystal again, the counter still reaching the end :(
I've abandoned the quest and gone to take it back.
When I came back to the dragon, he has half HP (I've already hitted him before) and when I hit the crystal again the counter began from 90sec :)
Jumped up using stones this time (2 stones each jump) and killed it, then used Divine Shield again and returned the quest with almost 32sec left.

Maybe it works also if you leave the counter reach 0 and then re-hit the crystal, but I haven't tried :)

the bug with hitting crystal after killing boss still works (26.7.2011)

Take quest, hit the crystal, jump up, kill the boss. Dont rush, take your time ;) after kill jump down, hit the crystal AGAIN and go turn quest in. With my 1.5k DPS on holypala i had to bug this one.

Just did this today as a mage. To have a lot of time to do it I started the quest, got the drake down to about half health, went invisible, got out of combat, but the drake stayed on same health, restruck the thingy, and had over 45 sec left when turning in the quest. Simple!

In summary. Collect quest.. dragon submits in whatever time the quest takes... smack crystal with hammer in backpack AGAIN... hand in quest. Still an easy achieve after latest patch :)

Here's the easy, guaranteed method:

1) Hit the resonating stone
2) Jump up until the dragon spawns
3) Jump down (or let the dragon drop you) then drop the quest.
4) Go back and re-pickup the quest hop up and kill the dragon at your leisure.
5) Jump down, ring the resonating stone and turn in the quest a few steps away.

Still bugged, all you have to do for this achievement is go up, take the Broodmother's life down to half or less, abandon the quest, re-get it and strike the crystal again, and the same damaged Broodmother will still be there so just finish her off and quickly hand in.

I finished this quite easily. I started the quest on my own and dropped the dragon down to about half health. At that point I realized that I wasn't going to kill her in time so I jumped down and abandoned the quest. After that I quickly flew back to Therazane and picked it up again. I flew back to the dragon and BAM! There she was, still at half health all the rocks still in place. I jumped on a rock and dropped her very quickly. Dropped down to the crystal and hit it with the hammer and got the achievement with 90 seconds to spare.

For all the comments about how to do it with an exploit, I'm just going to point out that pretty much any class in a dps spec (note: you should probably be doing dailies in a dps spec if you want to do them in a timely manner) is going to be able to easily get this achievement done within the time frame if they use a few cooldowns, and some classes/specs would be able to do it without even cooldowns (I know my best-of-pre-raid geared arcane mage would have a field day). I'd be surprised if there weren't a large number of players who got the achievement by accident. So just try to do it normally before you try to exploit it.

Actually this achievement is very easy to do solo, without help of any other people, here are the steps i did:
1) Strike the crystal
2) Immediately after you striked is go talk to the rockguy who normally throws you up and tell him to throw you back up (although it's the first time), this will get you on the rocks faster thus you will be able to kill faster
3) when your supposed to go up, note that you can skip one rock every jump (you can jump not only to the nearest but also to one further)
4) When at top do an allout dps attack on the broodmother
5) when it's over dismount the rock (red arrow), because the time before turning in the quest also counts.

Honestly if you have decent gear (378+) u can down her in seconds lol. All I had to do was tag crystal hop up on the rocks as fast as i could killed her in about 6-7 seconds jumped down and got it. It's ridiculously easy :/

On my mage with arcane spec I did this recently the PROPER way. Hit crystal, talked to big giant dude, jumped on to rocks. I popped all cds including timewarp. Down in no time with seconds to spare.

As of 4.3.X this is EASILY solo-able.

Just to confirm if a few things work or not still; you CAN still jump 2 rocks at a time.

Also after you've struck the stone approach the quest-giver before hes done walking towards the stone and ask to "Throw me up again!" which saves you a good 5-10 seconds.

Once you get in the center ring of rocks where the broodmother rests, just burst her down with your CDs asap. You don't have to move at all until you see the warning "This rock is about to fall!" at this point move to the next closest rock.

I was able to solo her and turn the quest in with 32 seconds remaining with a PvP heroic strike spec on my warrior (bad rage conservation and PvE damage). Good luck!

I think ther poster may have missed a very inportant piece of information here. I have tried it several times (the quest only comes up about 1 day in 10) I have failed every time.
First I never see a timer so knowing when it has run out is a problem.
Second when I attempt to strike the crystal I do not have a hammer to strike it with. I believe that completing the quest should say "Almost complete the quest DO NOT TURN IT IN). When you turn in the quest to complete it , the hammer is removed from your bags.

if you like me, can't kill the dragon before the time run out.
Then get the dragons life under have full.
Then you abandon the quest.
Fly / run back and get the quest again.
Then you hit the stone and do the same as before.
Very easy.

Took me a few tries to finally get it, but here's what I did as a ranged dps

I ran to the quest giver and had him throw me up, rather than wait for him to come to me. There are a few rocks for ranged around the dragon, started from the closest one I could find, popped all CDs, and blew her up til the rock was going to drop, jumped over two to the next ranged distance rock, and kept going until she dropped that rock. By that time she was submitted, so I just let the rock fall, and turned in. Easy 10 Achievement points. :)
