It's in Shattrath City at 62,33 and other locations in Azeroth.

You get a buff called Ribbon Dance if you and another person (at least 1) click on it that increases your fire resistance by 30 for an hour. This is in line with the Midsummer festival.

Not all the buffs are for fire resistance. The one in Stormwind (not sure if it's different by location or by colour of flame 'ribbon' connecting you to the ribbon pole) gave me +42 to critical strike rating and critical spell strike rating.

Got +30 fire resistance buff, but only when 2 persons clicked this Pole. Before i clicked 7 other poles alone, and never got buff.

The ones during Fire Festival are dormant until someone uses it, and then it begins to light on fire and shoot fireworks all over the place. After quite a while it will begin to spew lava.

Who invented these things? haha

3 seconds of dancing around Ribbon Pole gives 3 minutes of +10% xp from killing monsters.
This buffs stacks up to 1 hour so dancing for more than 60 seconds won't give you anything more.

With 1 person on it it has the flames around the base. With 2 ppl it shoots the normal fireworks. 3-5 it shoots the ground flowers. With 6+ it spews lava. Looks pretty awesome.

The 'whirlwind' animation your character does while dancing is pretty entertaining. I wonder how it looks with a shaman windfury on it? Hmm... How bout a lot of shamans with windfury?

Interesting side note if you have the transformation rod you can use it and will have your weapon out

In Org we had several on this pole eventually we got some dancing fire Draenei i dont know how many it takes but we had seveal

The fire festival ended, but in Shattrath City the Ribbon Pole and the Bonfire is still there, strange. I thought I might throw this out here for anyone that wanted to know.

-As of July 08, 2008, this has been fixed.

Found a pole in Agmar's Hammer today... and as a note the buff does stack with heirloom shoulders.

Once 7 people start to use one of these at once, it starts to toss around large streams of flame, and fireworks along with the normal effects. At this point Big Dancing Flames also start to spawn around them.

This does not appear to stack with the Whee buff from the Darkmoon carousel. I tried this today, and I was only able to get this buff after cancelling the Whee buff. Then went and got the Whee buff again, but the Ribbon pole buff only remained on my character for a couple of minutes, instead of the 60 minutes it should have remained for.

So much for trying to double dip ;)
