It's a Trap! -- Step on a floor trap in the Crypt of Forgotten Kings scenario.

Scenarios are new for WOW and introduced in Mists. Here are a few tips for having a successful scenario. While some of these may seem obvious, not everyone plays the game at the same level and there new players every day.

- Green circles on the ground with a flashing arrow indicate a healing area. Keep an eye on your health and take advantage of these when they are available.

- Don't expect the healing class in your group to provide heals. The scenarios are designed for 3 players of any class to complete. See above.

- Be helpful, considerate and communicate in a positive way. You may have run this scenario 50 times but the other players in your group may be there for the first time. Give players a chance to recuperate between fights, if needed.

- Stay together and work as a team. Things will go much faster and you'll have a better chance at success. If you know a short cut, let the others know.

- Work on the achievements in a pre-made group, rather than expecting 2 other random people to be willing to go for it. It may work out but be advised that most players are just there for a quick way to get Valor.

- If there isn't a tank and you have a lock or hunter in your group, the pets can tank for you as long as you don't pull threat away from them.

Heroic versions require iLvl 480 and a pre-formed group to join.

The timed content awards bonus Valour. There is a hidden timer which will expire if you do not reach the boss in time and engage. Time limit is unknown but it is reasonable. You can wipe a few times and still make it. Once at the boss, you get a visible timer. On Dark Heart of Pandaria it was 3 minutes. I would assume this is the same on all Heroic Scenarios, with the other timer varying based on the length of the scenario.

In heroic, after taking care of the 2 lion trash prior to the final boss, your group should just run up to the boss's platform and ignore the stationary trash. You can aoe down the trash pack on the boss's platform, and then go to the boss. Beating the timer should be fairly easy provided you have enough dps. On my shadow priest, I can solo the boss by myself, not beating the timer of course.

After patch 6.0 you can to speak to Lorewalker Fu in the "Seat of Knowledge" to enter Crypt of Forgotten Kings

Lorewalker Fu is located above the Mogu'shan Palace in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms

I don't know if I've just missed something, but both Maragor and the Guardian of Sacrifice in this scenario today (8/7/16) could be engaged but not hit. Everything was recorded as a "miss", and I couldn't touch them. There were no debuffs or conditions that would have caused this that I could see, but it resulted in me having to quit mid-fight (680 ilevel mage), as I could do absolutely no damage.

Do note that Maragor scales to being equal to a Legion level 111 elite (golden dragon) mob. No other bosses scaled during my run-through of the scenario (contrary to what Jobawah experienced in patch 7.0.3)

On bfa lvl of mob you need to kill is 121 lvl and has 598k hp. I joines as shaman 114 lvl so...couldn't kill it solo.

The Heroic version of Crypt of the Forgotten Kings has a lvl 120 boss, even though the content is supposed to be around lvl 90.
The Normal version works as intended, with all the enemies being around lvl 90, so it is possible to complete it solo with the current level cap.

this scenario is bugged as of 10.1.0, 5/14/2023. can't get past stage 2 because the adds keep spawning and there's no progress bar.
