You have to hand this in to get the follow up quest, Deliverance from the Pit, which is to kill the final boss in the instance. You need to have done these quests to get through the portal to the next instance. Don't skip the hand in!

I had a freed Alliance Slave say to me "Have my babies". Was a weird moment.

Note that you have to free all 15 slaves before you kill Forgemaster Garfrost. I freed them afterwards and didn't get credit for the kill. Dang it!

In case you wonder if you can come out of the pit if you drop in cause you thought you could "save" the alliance slaves inside of it, yes you can! There's at least one path that will put you out of it!

I didnt know what to do when i did the instance with a random group so we got to the last boss without freeing all the slaves. I got credit for the kill and then went back on my own and freed the last slave so now i have completed the quest but i cant hand it in.. There was noone in the instance after i completed it, i went looking everywhere but after a while mobs started to reappear and i had to port out. Any ideas? Do I have to redo the instance for it? or drop the quest? is it possible to hand in the quest before entering the instance in icecrown?
The problem is also that i lost the chance to complete the next quest (Deliverance from the pit). For that i will probably have to redo the instance.
