The location is right, get a horse and shoot the scouts with number 2.
If you see a Lieutenant you should charge in and use 1, that way multiple target will get hit. dont forget to keep shield up (number 4). Its fairly easy

Dont be affraid of the numbers of the mobs, because you do exceptionaly more dmg compaired to Argent Tournament targets.

When I charge, I always run through them. I am having trouble getting turned back around to attack before they do an attack or two. Any hints?

It is possible to throw/melee combo the gargoyles so they are down before they can damage you, which also saves time. Just press Shield Breaker and then run up to it and press attack and hes dead.

charge works for 1 shotting gargoyles

btw the skeletons seem to drop dead if you move your horse near them getting kills racking up
lieutenants should be treated similair to normal duals
the most important thing is to AVOID COMMANDERS they are much harder than lieutenats and arent needed yet

Its ideal to group up for this quest because there are so many people doing the daily so it could be hard to tag the lieutenants.

The rep reward from this (and other valiant quests) is actually 62 rep with all horde factions other than the one you take the quest with, 250 for the horde faction the quest is from and 250 for the Sunreavers.

For example: If you complete this quest as a valiant of Thunderbluff, you'll receive:

250 rep with Thunderbluff
250 rep with Sunreavers
and
62 rep with Undercity, Silvermoon, Darkspear Trolls, and Orgrimmar

Note that while I did not receive any in-game notification of the rest of the reputation gains, checking my rep bars before and afterwards it is clear that you do actually receive them. Completing all 4 dailies will award you 1000 rep with each of Sunreavers and Thunderbluff and 250 rep with all other horde factions.

Just discovered that if you're not on the quest, you won't be able to see the camp or the mobs and thus, unable to assist anyone who is on the quest. The entire thing is phased for the quest, it seems.

sometimes when fighting one of the Lts they break my shields without doing a shield breaker or charge and if there are enough footmen around they will kill me. then of course i cant res there because i'd be ressing without an argent mount and in the middle of a bunch of elites so i have to take a 25% dmg penalty to my gear which = around 20g to repair. this has happened to me about 3 times now - pretty annoying.

[Even as we ready for the tournament, Argent Crusade forces prepare the way for an assault on the enemy's stronghold of Icecrown Citadel.

In the Court of Bones in southwestern Icecrown, a few brave crusaders have set up a forward camp on the southern side of Corp'rethar. Equip your lance and mount the stabled campaign charger at the camp, then destroy the Lich King's minions.
