This skill has the ability to make anyone in pvp cry if timed well enough. Allowing for a backstab every 2 energy ticks instead of 3 (or sinister strike every tick!) this provides a massive dps burst for the 15 seconds it lasts.

Along with Blade Flurry this is an absolute MUST for grinding, especially if you get into trouble like I sometimes do! Hit Blade Flurry and Adrenaline Rush at the same time and spam Sinister Strike and get off 2 5-point Eviscerates before either one runs out and, even in only the mid-40sl, you'll dish out WELL over 4,000 points of damage to two NPCs at once!

Amazing talent to pick up, I have it on my rogue. Very useful in tense situations where you have multiple mobs or an elite where you get alot of backstabs, hemos, or sinisters strikes off very quickly.

Adrenaline rush is especially useful in raids, giving you that extra DPS needed on bosses. For dagger rogues, adrenaline rush gives you that extra backstabbing power, enabling you to stand behind the boss dealing a sick amount of damage!

After the rogue talent review, opportunity got moved to a tier one Subtlety talent, making so combat dagger rogues could pick up this talent, thus allowing them to compete even more, or surpassing combat sword rogues in PvE dps.

This is a great utility for PvP in addition to the Raid Damage. For example, this would be great on a warrior with all the extra SS/BSs you could get in. This is probably my favorite, and one of the best talents that a rogue could get.

This ability can easily draw aggro on you in raids.

The trick is to wait a while into the fight, pop vanish, then go for adrenaline rush. No more aggro worries.

As a combat rogue, this skill is insanely good. At a 5 minute CD, if you go this far into the Combat tree and dont get this, you need to go reroll.

Say you do 100 dps. 50 from white damage (normal attacks) and 50 from Sinister Strike.
Using this skill will double your Sinister Strike output, from once every 4 seconds, to once every 2 seconds.

150 dps, 50 from white damage, 100 from Sin Strike damage. 50% increase.

Now lets say you have 2 monsters on you at one time, and you activate this with Blade Flurry.

(60 dps from white damage (+20% speed increase), 100 from Sin Strike)x2 from dual monsters, and the dual hit effect.

320 dps. You can activate Slice and Dice for additional white dps too.

This is forsaking Eviscerates, Ripostes (Most energy efficent damage rogue skill in the game, 10 energy for 150% wep damage AND a disarm), criticals, and all other rogue skills.

Also, take into consideration, as of the new 70 cap, at level 70 you can have this, all the other good combat skills, Cold Blood, AND Seal Fate.
Massive combo point generation, then a guaranteed Evis crit x2.

100 dps to 320++ dps. I hold this talent high in regard for any type of build.

By "Increases your Energy regeneration rate by 100%", it means you will generate 40 energy per tick, instead of 20, at the same intervals; you will not generate it in half-intervals. (Just to clarify)

so with rank 3 Vitality it restores 1.1 energy every 0.1 seconds .

Adrenaline rush will give 2.2 energy per 0.1 sec ..

Does Adrenaline Rush stack with Vitality? If so, how?

With Vitality, you have 125% Energy per second. When you use Adrenaline Rush, does it give you 200% ( not stacking ) 225% ( 100% increase from base energy regen ) or 250% ( 100% increase from your current regen ) ?

It all depends on what the formula is, and I'm not much of a theory crafter! I'm sure other rogues would like to know. ;)

Something that really helps this talent out is Tricks of the Trade. If you pop TOTT followed by Adrenaline Rush, you not only have insane energy regeneration, combo point generation and extra damage, but all of the generated threat will get dumped onto the TOTT target (namely the tank, if you know your stuff). In fights where blowing most of your other cooldowns (trinket, blade flurry and in the case of trolls berserking) can lead to a silly amount of damage in a short space of time. Finish up with Killing Spree and you have a nice full energy supply to work with after the effect of AR wears off.

Rogue Updates from 3.1.0 notes by Eyonix (subject to change):

* Hunger for Blood – instead of a self-buff, this ability can only be used when there is a bleed effect on the target. However, it has no stacks and grants a 15% damage bonus.
* Adrenaline Rush – the cooldown on this ability has been lowered.
* Lightning Reflexes – reduced to 3 ranks. In addition to 2/4/6% dodge, this talent now also grants 4/7/10% passive melee haste.
* Killing Spree – while this ability is active, the rogue does 20% additional damage.
* Savage Combat – now causes 2/4% physical damage done.
* Mace Specialization – this talent now grants haste in addition to armor penetration.

What happens if you have Vitality www.wowhead.com/?spell=61329 and Overkill www.wowhead.com/?spell=58426 and pop this talent? Does it improve those two to give a total of 310% regen (62 energy per tick) or do they just stack for a total of 255% regen (51 energy per tick)? Hope my calculations are correct.

Did some more research on rogue energy modifiers today (was testing for few hours):

Results are surprising accurate (+/-0,5% EPS) simply formula is:
100% + Overkill + Vitality + Adrenaline Rush = max ~25,5 energy per second, 255%

Also i think regeneration rate is slightly higher in shorter fights, made ticket to confirm or deny that theory (short time could be more mistakes).

PTR (17161) with Ability Cooldown red. trinkets, full HC/Haste gemmed rogue can attain ~20CD of Adrenaline Rush + Shadow Blades without outside haste buffs.
Entering Killing Spree then immediately popping AR + SB causes KS to cooldown completely after AR and SB's duration expires.
Tested with Normal version of the trinket (553 iLvl, 39% reduction) I'd hate to imagine this with the HC version, upgraded and 'Thunderforged' AND new haste values from the additional 5.4 loot.
I am also not expecting these trinkets to make it to live without any sort of nerf, hence why I am writing this.
