This was a weird quest... I took it from some wandering NPC at Blood Watch, it was completed the second I clicked accept and didn't even show up in my quest log. No reward at all either.

EDIT: After this quest you get a letter in the mail, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24132 that starts a questchain. Guess the NPC told me that but I was in a hurry to click accept ^^

Ha, That's funny. I did the same thing and clicked through that quest. I had to come here to get the quest text only to find out that I needed to check my mail. Thanks!

In order to activate this, you must have completed the quest http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9506

You do not have to do the entire chain, just that quest is enough.

Just did A Small Start and am not receiving the letter in the mail.

EDIT: Not sure why no one was specif inc about this but you get the item in the mail AFTER A Small Start and you head to Bloodmyst and turn in Urgent Delivery( Quest is there already ) THEN you will receive item in mail.

Before you can access this quest you must have done these 4 quests.

NOTE: You must complete the quest Urgent Delivery to access >>
1. A Small Start Quest,
Starts from Admiral Odesyus (Azure Beach) "South" @ Pirate

2. Coming of Age Quest.
Starts from Exarch Menelaous (Azure Watch)

3. Elekks Are Serious Business Quest,
Starts from Exarch Menelaous (Azure Watch)
Completes at <Bloodmyst Isle> Vorkhan the Elekk Herder at "Kessel's Crossing" Camp.

Final Part: After you spoke to Messenger Hermesius in Blood Watch Check Mailbox!
Mail Quest: You have Recived A Letter from the Admiral Accept and you get The Bloodcurse Legacy

When you complete this quest, they will count toward Bloodmyst Isle Quests "Loremaster"

I talked to Hermesius and accepted the quest, but when I check my mailbox there's nothing there. I even have the symbol next to my minimap that says unread mail from Admiral Odesyus.

I've done the required quests and I talked to Messenger Hermesius. He says the message is in my mailbox. But it's not.

I'm on a started account that can't use normal mail privileges, does this include quest related messages? Or do I just need to wait?

I just went back to grab the low-level Azuremyst pre-quests, and I'm a little butt-hurt that it still doesn't seem to be working.

In order to activate this, you must have completed the quest A Small Start.
But if you are on a starter account, don't bother doing A Small Start - even though you will be sent the letter after meeting Messenger Hermesius, you won't be able to retrieve it since you can't use the mailbox.

Sorry everybody , the mail still don't work on Starter Edition. (Patch 5.1.0)

So apparently, I can't accept the mail part of the quest for reasons beyond me. The mail is there, I just can't grab anything out of the letter.

Given that in Greek Mythology, Hermes is known as "the messenger of the gods"; it seems appropriate for Hermesius to be delivering messages. (Albeit to mere mortals.)

For anyone on starter accounts unable to get the mailbox quest start...

You can go to Admiral Odesyus to pick up the The Bloodcurse Legacy quest instead.

Are you <name>? It's about time! I'd just about given up on finding you!

There's an urgent message waiting for you at the mailbox. The person that gave it to me was a human admiral from Azuremyst. Admiral Odesy-something... the name escapes me. He said you would know who he was.
