Don't spend too much time waiting for borgoth or masophet to respawn from where it was last killed. They alternate in locations so make sure to check them both.

"When you first enter Deatholme, stick left.

1) Mirdoran the Fallen is in the center of the Gazebo (first building on your left) 37,34

2) Borgoth the Bloodletter is just South of there in the Slaughter House located at the top of the hill: 32, 89

3) Continue to follow around in a clockwise circle. Masophet the Black is in the center of the Ziggurat in the SE corner. 29,88

4) Finaly, just to the west of the entrence is a crypt. Jurion the Deceiver is in the basement. 32, 73

Make sure you have the quest Captives of Deatholme (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9164) before heading in since the objectives' locations overlap.

Solo-d this quest at 19 on my warrior. I was in defensive for alot of it and had to pull the Zigg one at a time. My method takes awhile but more xp.

It is possible, you just gotta be careful about your pulls =D

I suggest taking another person or two with you on the quest. I was leveling 19 while doing it, and I died multiple times because a lot of the mobs are very close together and swarm you.

29, 87 is where i found Masophet. I also found Borgoth twice in two different zigurats. I think they are random spawns. As for the captives i dont know if they are random or stationary.

I got my level 36 Tauren Druid mate to help me with all the monsters around the 4 lieutenants, and he accidentally killed Masophet instead of letting me take him and now he won't respawn...anyone else heard of this happening? Cos I'd quite like that staff for the reward :(

for the purpose of leveling a new char, id advise against this quest. its tremendously troublesome based on heavy area mob aggro, variable named spawn points and distance issues. if youre following the guide material used with tourguide, use the ones done by silverknight, not snowflake.

one could argue that its good to do many of these area quests for the sword from TQ rep but that kill quest with the blue quest rewards far outshines it.

im a paladin, and i dont fail, and my life STILL sucked doing this one. =] i imagine warriors and rogues and such probly wanted to hang themselves after this quest.

Also found Borgoth in the same room as Apprentice Varnis. Coords: 41 83. Looking at your map its the very far right of Deatholme.

The location of the mobs for this quest is varied - if you go to a ziggurat and find your target isn't there, just go to the next one. I killed Borgoth where I thought Masophet would be ... moved to the next ziggurat and Borgoth had respawned there. When I returned to the previous ziggurat ... Masophet had spawned. Just keep looking.

I'm very frustrated on this one; I have done Traitor's Destruction but cannot seem to get past the mobs on this one. I have killed 3 of 4 but keep dying trying, and can't seem to get Borgoth. I also can't find other quests in Ghostlands, even though I have only done 43 and see 59 on the list. Any ideas?

If you're looking to do this quest for Transmog and you haven't done Ghostlands at ALL: here's the minimum of what you need to do:

This unlocks The Sanctum of the Sun. (When you hand it in, expect to hear the low "error noise" chime.)

Go upstairs and pick up The Farstrider Enclave, there you'll learn about The Traitor's Shadow, which leads you to a book to the north. The book reveals Hints of the Past. Bring it back to the enclave and you will be instructed to Report to Magister Kaendris. After that, you can complete The Twin Ziggurats.

This unlocks Dar'Khan's Lieutenants and The Traitor's Destruction, which offer the cosmetic rewards you're looking for.

Magister Idonis wants you to venture into Deatholme to slay Masophet the Black, Jurion the Deceiver, Borgoth the Bloodletter and Mirdoran the Fallen. Report back to him in the Sanctum of the Sun in the Ghostlands after you've completed this task.

Description

The odious traitor, Dar'Khan, has risen to great power among the ranks of the Scourge. His lieutenants command vast armies of undead against our dwindling numbers.

Masophet the Black, Jurion the Deceiver, Borgoth the Bloodletter, Mirdoran the Fallen. Learn these names well for in the Ghostlands these Scourge leaders are second only to Dar'Khan himself. Slay them and their mindless armies will be thrown into disarray.
