Having to spot the bees, tranquilize them, and then tag the ones that had invariably fallen into flower bed traps filled me with so much rage that I considered the merits of being stung to death while completing the quest.

You must complete Primus Buzzness before this quest will be available. The "storyline" is incorrect here on WoWHead at the time of writing (8/14/25, 12:17 AM), but the "series" isn't.

"Aiming players is not possible" - well I guess this quest is currently bugged for me.

I can't seem to progress this quest. I managed to get 1/10 and then started to get the error "Can't target players". I tried relogging, abandoning the quest, moving far away, leaving the zone and coming back, disabling all addons, nothing...

Edit: the quest seems fixed, I have just completed it.

Anyone having the issue when attempting to use the tranquilizing dart on a bee. Only get the message "Can't target players". Abandoning the quest, logging out, disabling all addons. Still get the message

If you're getting the "Can't target players" bug, try completing Botany, Finally first. Worked for me

For anyone that was getting the "can't target a player" bug, the quest seems to be working now (at least for me). I logged out for about an hour and on login the quest was working again.

Decided to leave and complete my remaining WC, and when I came back about 25 mins later, I was able to complete this one as well. Yay

The "Can't Target Player" bug seems to have been fixed as of the 16th of august hotfix.

Do take note that you have to tag the bees after you tranquilize them.

You cannot tag a bee more than once, if you're not getting credit, try to keep moving around the area and look for a different bee

As of today - I finally was able to complete the quest with no issue - may have been fixed? I didn't do anything different - just re-accepted quest and it worked.

It's fixed

You can use Macro:
/tar Honey
/use Tranquilizing Dart

to target and use the item, anyway, you still need to interact with the sleeping Bee

I wanna share how it worked for me. It was the same bug and i made relog and quest abandon didnt work too. But i restarted full client of wow including battlenet client and when i logged in back the quest was working. Doesnt look like coincidence but its weird for sure.

This got stuck for me at 9/10 bees and would not count the last bee no matter what. Relogging as well as flying away and back did not work.

I abandoned the quest and started over, and this time I noticed that it seemed to stop counting my progress when the Devourer Attack: The Oasis event was going on. If this happens for you, move to a part of the dome far away from the devourer event and you can continue getting credit again.

As of today 09/28 - I still was unable to do this on my Main- after abandoning, reloading, waiting, etc... - Decided to try War Mode -with quests still in log; went back to Dornogal, then back to Dome and I was finally able to get credit for tagging bees. Same with the "Botany, Finally" quest collecting the Flora. This is same problem/bug with initial campaign quest line Venari gave having to go to Stormsong to collect the bees. Would be nice if they'd fix these. So, if you're still having trouble - go WM and hopefully it works for you. Cheers~

It might bee that you are tagging the same bees more than once. I got to 4/10 in the south area, then got stuck. Flew to north side and got to about 7/10 and wasn't getting credit. Ran a bit south and finished.

Description

I think we should start prepping to move the bees into the Oasis. I'd like to tag them so we can monitor the hive. Bees don't tend to stand still for long. We'll need to tranquilize and tag them. I tagged the queen. Would you tag the honey bees?
