If phased, you need to de-phase to complete this quest.

Need to get close to Alleria to trigger. Walk away and come back if she doesn't. Wounded riftwalker is in the group of three to your left if you're facing Alleria, near the tent.

If the game is telling you it's ready to turn in but it won't let you, try bandaging the Wound Riftwalker who is about ten yards NW of the turn in. That's what fixed it for me.

This quest is bugged now - The wounded riftwalker to heal isn't showing up for anyone near me or in my guild. Crazy that I've gotten softlocked 3 times so far in the campaign. Blizzard QA really went downhill this patch.

The quest will be bugged if there is a World Quest in the same area. Complete the World Quest first, then speak to Alleria again. You'll be able to bandage the wounded afterwards.

The wounded NPC is quite hard to find. The Look to the left, next to the mailbox or write
/tar Wounded Riftwalker
and mark the target with an icon

Listening to Alleria is not really "optional." You can't continue the quest until you sit through her schpiel.

What a mess this was. I started with the first campaign quest for week 2, then came up to this one, it would not show up on my quest log, and therefore I had no way to know what I was supposed to do to complete it.

I had to talk to Alleria at 60.75, 27.94

THEN I could go bandage the wounded riftwalker (who goes right back to being wounded, must be in pretty bad shape).

I know it's vaguely mentioned here but I flew all over and dug all over in the campaign quests trying to figure out what was going on before I found this.

It wouldn't let me talk to Alleria, only do the optional listening which does not advance the quest.

I had to abandon the quest, go complete Wrapped Up then pick up the quest again and Alleria now had the option to "talk" to her.

To advance the quest I had to be in regular phase.

I have another tip to check. Turns out, that about an hour before I attempted the quest, I did the world boss. Despite moving right out the area, not being in a weird phase, logging out and back in AND fully exiting the game, I was still in the party from the boss. Once I clicked leave party, all was well again. I've never had this happen before. I was able to complete plenty of other quests whilst sill 'in party' without warnings popping up/ so, worth double checking this too

Description

Narathe is right. We are fortunate that void elves have experience battling the Shadowguard. The wastes of K'aresh are merciless, and the battle to come will be as well. I hope they are prepared for a brutal fight. These will not be the scattered scouts they are used to fighting on Telogrus. You should ensure they are ready for the battle to come.
