Quest completion is bugged. Completed the Radiant Echo and turned in to the guy on the dock after killing Ony, but quest still shows 0/1. Relogging didn't fix. Abandoned and picked it up again, went to the Marsh and even got the completion text on screen that the event was completed, but quest still shows incomplete.

You don't need this quest to level up in the new expansion zones - this PRE-PATCH event helps you collect Residual Memories to get better gear in preparation for the new zones. As of Beta: If you're wondering how to proceed with the new expansion zones and their quests after completing the initial quests but can't seem to find a quest giver, talk to the Tauren in Orgrimmar near the Broken Tusk inn (between Grommash Hold and the main gates), Questzertauren. He will give you the option to send you on your merry way to the Isle of Dorn (unless you don't meet the level requirements). In Stormwind, he is standing in the main square, near Pestle's Apothecary. (What is a Tauren doing in the middle of Stormwind without a fight?)

Back to Radiant Echoes stuff:
The locations of objectives for the event, Lingering Memories, are indicated by a globe-like icons on the map (Dragonblight, Dustwallow Marsh or Searing Gorge, accessible from the portals in Legion version of Dalaran). Doing this requires some luck - being in the right place at the right time - since there are hundreds of players competing for a few mobs spawning occasionally that go down with only 2 or 3 hits. Work the objectives at the Lingering Memories locations (kill mobs, free prisoners, carry logs, etc.) until the "Memories Remaining" counter at top of your screen is near zero. When it gets to zero, the boss will spawn. The bosses drop 480+ gear and also "regional" memories like Memory of Kalimdor, which you collect to purchase Band of Radiant Echoes. There are ~~daily~~ weekly quests in each of the 3 zones that are part of the Radiant Echoes event: Only Darkness in Dragonblight, Broken Masquerade in Dustwallow Marsh right outside Onyxia's Lair and Champion of the Waterlords in Searing Gorge). The quest givers are near the Dalaran portals in each of the 3 zones.

(Note, though once individual, these quests are now account-wide (complete only once per account, per week), similar to When Time Needs Mending.)

In the current beta the Lich King memory for Only Darkness does not spawn in the area marked on the map, but spawns instead on the main path a little ways South of the Wyrmrest Temple. Check your map and you will see his icon on when he spawns.

The "portrait room" is just down some steps from the Chamber of the Guardian where Magni is sleeping. (Beta - You want the three blue portals and not the big purple one. )

The quest its could prove to be a decent world boss event but then it has to be way the end boss.
BUT besides that i cant for the life of me after taking the quests and doing quests for the memories, i cant find the questgiver again in the portal room.
Only the big cow is there.

Notice that Khadgar is present at the Legion version of Dalaran, and not Northrend's.

Not my favorite quest. Not a fan of time limited events that are over an hour long. Really hard to enjoy the game this way. Wish it had been more straight forward.

There's no reward, at all, for this quest and you have to spin through 'The War Within' to unlock it on each character - feel free to skip for alts

There is currently a problem: If you pick up this quest below level 70, then hit level 70 during a Radiant Echoes event and return to the Portrait Room, Khadgar will no longer be there to turn in the quest.

At level 70, the quest "The War Within" should have automatically kicked in. It leads to Silithus and after a short quest chain, about two minutes not counting cut scenes, it will lead back to the Portrait Room. Khadgar will now be back and the quest can be turned in. Be aware that there is no reward for this quest though.

I'm not enjoying the pre-expansion event very much this time around. Every time I log in to give it a go, there's a timer until the event begins again. Just now I logged in--it's 55 minutes away and I guess in Dustwallow Marsh? I took the quest to kill the Remembered Lich King. In the meantime, what do I do? Do I grind the memories that are spawned in a couple places in a zone? When there are any, that is. They dont' always seem to be there. This isn't fun.

Isn't this supposed to be a daily event? I clearly saw the blue exclamation point above each of the quest-givers initially, but days later, no such quest available. Perhaps since the gear doesn't benefit me as my mage is lvl503? I do want it as transmog gear though. Next-Anyone know while in the portrait room, how to determine which of the lands the memories are spawning? I just jump into each one until I find the right one! And my last gripe-The timer in the portrait room clearly indicates that the event will be going "for" so many minutes and seconds. It should read "in." Confusing indeed along with other things.

In case you've jumped into the right portal for the event and found there are no one but you and the memories - try checking Chromie in your faction capital city to see whether she has "Return to the present time" option. If yes then return at once =)

This quest is in Legion Dalaran. If you played that expansion, you should have a Dalaran Hearthstone in your toy collection that you can use to get there.
If you are an Alliance player, there is a portal directly to Legion Dalaran in the Trade District near the Auction House.

The portal reads "Radiant Echoes will be active for 30 minutes." I go thru the portal and NOTHING. Players going back and forth. Nothing. A lot of players standing around in Dal. Nothing.
Do we have to wait for the timer to end for a new event to begin?
Do we have to join the event in Group Finder?
I followed all the rifts in the area after going through and no ads, no clues where to go.
Another WoW quest that's so obscure, yet no answers in wowhead this time.
EDITED: Wait for the timer to run out. When the portal to your left for Searing Gorge appears, go through. You'll end up in the area to get memories - which you can accumulate to buy gear and other stuff from the big water elemental at the FP.

Previous while leveling, a breadcrumb: Radiant Echoes
At 70 The Bronzebeard Family unlocks both, but you have to log out an in to get the breadcrumb, so you might get them in the wrong order, which can be confusing.

Description

It seems that Azeroth has grown... agitated? Something must have happened when Magni tried to commune with her. Past events have now come to life once more. I believe they're Azeroth's memories. Memories they may be, these Radiant Echoes are all too real and could cause serious danger if left unattended. I ask that you investigate one of them and help however you can.
