May need to click off the Revealing Dragon's Eye buff and reapply. Did not see the adds to kill the first time I did it.

Take this quest with Eyes and Ears. After you investigate an area, a mob required for Nowhere to Hide will spawn. I got 3 mobs on the last place I visited, which was the bank.

It's not obvious at first, but when you walk near the inflitrator npcs there's a slight sound effect and they will glow an orange colour. Their name plates don't change so you have to look for the visual colour change to identify them. You then talk to them and they'll transform into hostile npcs that you can kill.

This quest is quite annoying tbh.

I tried undoing the buff and re-applying it and it didn't work at first. I had to fly around and start talking to the people and about 1\3 of them had the option to see through the disguises.

Not sure if the quest is just buggy because of the lag right now - so be warned!

How to complete this quest:

1) Use the Revealing Dragon's Eye quest item (a red gem)

2) Roam the city and look for an NPC to suddenly have a golden glow beneath them, with a small "whoosh" sound effect

3) Talk to them and there will be a dialogue option to tell them you see through their disguise

4) Kill them

5) Repeat six times

1. Ensure you click on the quest item (Revealing Dragon's Eye) and verify you have the buff (should be same icon as the item).
***Some have reported needing to remove the buff (right click it in your buff frame) and click the item again for it to actually work

2. Go to the markers shown on the map above and, if they aren't already dead from someone else, there will be an NPC with a glow effect at their feet. You will hear an audible sound as you approach.

3. Click on the NPC and select the dialogue option (basically saying you can tell they are an infiltrator).

4. The NPC will transform into the mobs (3 of them in my case) you need to kill and become hostile towards you.

5. Slay them without remorse.

6. Repeat until you have the required 6 kills.

7. Enjoy the rest of your journey in the Dragon Isles.

If you have the "Overtuned Corgi goggles" toy and activate it, when you walk pasts the primalists it turns them into a different animal and puts a cloud looking aura around them. Makes it easy to find them. Then just walk up, talk to them, and kill them.

You will see them as pink - orange -ish NPCs around. Not on minimap.
I found at 25.0 / 64.8, (west of the city), near a telescope, 3 of them sitting on each other. (counts as 3 kills)

This quest is picked up together with Eyes and Ears. When you go to the Bank, Artisans Market, and Roasted Ram for Eyes and Ears, a Primalist Infiltrator will spawn nearby each item you click for that quest. Also worth noting from SiR409s comment, using the Overtuned Corgi Goggles toy works fantastic as it gives the Primalist Infiltrators a different appearance and aura. It seems that they largely appear off the path and sidewalks, in the grass. When you approach, speak to them and they will then become hostile and attackable. The item locations needed for Eyes and Ears are listed below

/way 34.66, 61.19 Consortium Ledger.
/way 59.16, 54.81 Storage Chest
/way 47.0, 47.74 Goblet

Actually the spies were always visible. They were translucent. Talk to them and then send them to their death.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Valdrakken, City of Dragons. This Storyline is part of Just Don't Ask Me to Spell It which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. To Valdrakken - Go to Valdrakken City and enter Seat of the Aspects on top of steps is teleport us it to get on top of tower.
2. A Message Most Dire - Speak with Alexstrasza the Life-Binder movie will start. after finish this quest Wait for new NPC
3a. Nowhere to Hide - First use Revealing Dragon's Eye then in city slay 6 Primalist Infiltrator ( they have pink/orange color )
3b. Eyes and Ears - Investigate 3 places in city:
- Inn 47.05 47.88 Goblet - Sit next to table where you can pick up Goblet, then wait until will count this in other whey if you will move that will start one more time.
- Bank 59.12 54.84 Storage Chest - Open Storage Chest then just wait when conversation will finish and will be counted.
- Crafter's Consortium 34.79 61.42 Consortium Ledger - Press on Consortium Ledger and wait until conversation will finish.
5. Southern Exposure - Travel and speak with Guardian Velomir 35.85 82.52.
6a. Vengeance, Served Hot - Kill 12 Magmasworn Primalists
6b. The Fog of Battle - Search for 3 members of Guardian Velomir. /way 36.29 83.76 /way 35.77 84.23 in tower /way 36.45 85.43
8a. Remember the Fallen - Pick up from bodys 8 South Hold Garrison Signet.
8b. Slightly Used Weapons - Pick up quest from Magmasworn Spear 37.84 83.24 - Collect from mobs 6 Magmasworn Spear is not 100% drop.
8c. Tying Things Together - Pick up quest from Coil of Heavy Rope 38.54 83.37 - Gather 5 Coil of Heavy Rope. They are on grouns around.
11. Clear the Sky - Jump on Siege Scorpion 40.88 83.86 and use skill 1 to take down dragons untli 100%.
12. Where's The Chief? - Speak with Guardian Velomir and movie will start.
13. Fire Fighter - Slay Magmatalon 40.23 86.52
14. Reporting In - Go back to Valdrakken City. This Quest is finishing storyline.

In fact they will have like an orange color and they are called Valdrakken citizen. You have to talk to them and they will become hostile.

I couldn't find these guys anywhere so I dropped the quest and started it again. The Revealing Dragon's Eye finally showed up in my inventory and all was well. I could now see the NPCs that I needed to kill. Note: Once it is in your inventory, you have to click it to get the buff and be able to see the NPCs needed. Also they arent apparent at a long distance but once you get within a few yards you will see them transform ... you will know

Important recognition factors:
1: They are semi-translucent orange-ish
2: They have green letters with their names if you have the nameplates on. They are known as Valdrakken citizens.

To start fights them:
1: Speak to them to trigger fight.

They are all over the place. It took me a while to figure out what they look like.

I dropped the quest to see if that would help me find them and picked it up again. Pick it up again by going to the top of the entrance steps on the main building where you got the quest originally (53/49: Valdrakken). You shouldn't need to drop the quest if you are only doing so because you can't find the wretched things!

Just click on a citizen, kill, respawn rate is fast. Don't have to walk around, the last kill spawned three at once, quest complete.

As of at least December 26th 2022, the disguised NPCs actually stand in very bright columns of light with a swirling 'wind tunnel' effect all around them. The light and the wind effect 'spawn in' with a puff of smoke and a sound effect when you get close enough, making it doubly clear.

You're looking for "Valdrakken citizens" basically. (See my screenshot on the Screenshots tab here).

I talked to 3 different quest mobs that were each an individual target to kill, but the last one was a little bigger, and he *poofed* into 3 different goblins, allowing me to finish the quest faster on my warlock. My other characters are not looking forward to this quest, especially my priest!

If you have difficulty killing the three that come out at once, go to 62 76 where there is a guard who will help you. I found a hidden npc there as well. Good luck!

If you click on the quest item and get the error "You can't do that yet". It means the buff is already applied.

Simply walk around Valdrakken and talk to NPCs with a orangey glow to kill the infiltrators.

I spent 10min trying to figure out why my alts screen looked like &*!@ in valdrakken but not anywhere else until I found this quest items buff.

Description

Welcome to Valdrakken, <race>. The climate in the city has been a bit warm of late, and I do not mean the weather. The Primalists are skulking about, fomenting dissent among the citizens of our city. Our foes are crafty. They have been disguising themselves as citizens of our city to hide from the Scalesworn. They know how to avoid my guards but will not suspect an outsider. Take this Dragon's Eye gem, it should help you see through their disguises. Go reveal and kill these infiltrators!
