After you complete this very long main storyline quest chain, all the way to this point on your character, you will finally have the portals to return to Stormwind / Orgrimmar available to you. If you come here prior to that point, you can ask the city guards all you like about the "Other Continents"* and they will point you to the base chamber of the Seat of the Aspects as the location for these portals...but you will not see any portals whatsoever.

This caveat holds true even after your first character finishes the main storyline through to this point. No other characters will have access to the return portals to Stormwind / Orgrimmar until they themselves have each completed the main storyline (as of patch 10.0.2.46924 at least). So...yeah, that's a thing. You can come here to use the city's amenities, but don't expect to be able to use it as a hub with easy access back to the rest of Azeroth like in most previous expansions.

On the bright side, you CAN use Valdrakken as a hub in terms of it having an auction house, etc. You just cannot get back to the portal rooms for SW / Org / Everywhere Else via the City of Dragons without having first completed the main questline all the way through to this point.

Services available in Valdrakken (with the notable caveat exceptions for "Other Continents" as listed above) include the following:

So you're not missing out on much...unless you're a non-mage who needs to duck back to Stormwind's or Orgrimmar's portal rooms to go help a friend / guildmember with a non-Dragonflight quest elsewhere. (Given how the ferry at Iskaar takes 15+ minutes to round-trip and you have to wait for the one at the landing point at the Waking Shore, I strongly suggest looking around for a same-faction mage and offering them a nice tip in exchange for a portal to wherever it is you need to go...or at least to the nearest major city to that point.)

**This information may change in a future patch, but for now, if you want a quick & easy portal back (and you're not a mage level 62 for personal teleport or 68 for the portal spell) ...sorry, but you gotta plow through the main storyline all the way to the point of finishing up this quest.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Valdrakken, City of Dragons. This Storyline is part of Just Don't Ask Me to Spell It which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. To Valdrakken - Go to Valdrakken City and enter Seat of the Aspects on top of steps is teleport us it to get on top of tower.
2. A Message Most Dire - Speak with Alexstrasza the Life-Binder movie will start. after finish this quest Wait for new NPC
3a. Nowhere to Hide - First use Revealing Dragon's Eye then in city slay 6 Primalist Infiltrator ( they have pink/orange color )
3b. Eyes and Ears - Investigate 3 places in city:
- Inn 47.05 47.88 Goblet - Sit next to table where you can pick up Goblet, then wait until will count this in other whey if you will move that will start one more time.
- Bank 59.12 54.84 Storage Chest - Open Storage Chest then just wait when conversation will finish and will be counted.
- Crafter's Consortium 34.79 61.42 Consortium Ledger - Press on Consortium Ledger and wait until conversation will finish.
5. Southern Exposure - Travel and speak with Guardian Velomir 35.85 82.52.
6a. Vengeance, Served Hot - Kill 12 Magmasworn Primalists
6b. The Fog of Battle - Search for 3 members of Guardian Velomir. /way 36.29 83.76 /way 35.77 84.23 in tower /way 36.45 85.43
8a. Remember the Fallen - Pick up from bodys 8 South Hold Garrison Signet.
8b. Slightly Used Weapons - Pick up quest from Magmasworn Spear 37.84 83.24 - Collect from mobs 6 Magmasworn Spear is not 100% drop.
8c. Tying Things Together - Pick up quest from Coil of Heavy Rope 38.54 83.37 - Gather 5 Coil of Heavy Rope. They are on grouns around.
11. Clear the Sky - Jump on Siege Scorpion 40.88 83.86 and use skill 1 to take down dragons untli 100%.
12. Where's The Chief? - Speak with Guardian Velomir and movie will start.
13. Fire Fighter - Slay Magmatalon 40.23 86.52
14. Reporting In - Go back to Valdrakken City. This Quest is finishing storyline.

QUEST: A MESSAGE MOST DIRE

There are two quests for turn in when greeting Alexstraza. I turned in the first one on the list, then she flew off and now I can not turn in the second one which is the most important. Come to find out I should have turn in the second quest on her list first.

She is no longer here and have no clue where she is to turn in the second one. I tried to greet her at the Ruby Life Pools, she was there but doesn't acknowledge my quest completion.

Guess I'll have to contact customer service to complete the turn in.

So I tried to send a request for assistance through Customer Service. Guess what! Their Customer Service Request is BROKEN too!

So now I have a character who can't go any further into the Campaign until I can get in touch with the BROKEN WORLD OF WARCRAFT Customer Service!

Remember before you go to Tyrhold to see Alexstrasza, to tag up with the Valdrakken flight master. It's a long way back otherwise.

Is anyone having trouble not seeing the dragon? I /reloaded and its been 4 days and still has not see it. =(

If Alexstrasza is still there in her visage, but you interact with her and there is no text or option to talk to her, use the teleport to return to the base of the tower and then return to see the dragons sitting back in their true forms. This is one fix.

If you cannot see the NPC for turn in. Open your quest log and ABANDON 'To Tyrhold'. NPC will instantly spawn in front of you ;)
