The riverbeasts will do a knockback on your character once they are released. The crabs will follow you around for a minute or so once released.

Look for circling trapped animals above the ground. You'll know it when you see it. That is the right area.
There will also be some tiny crabs wandering around and other small animals floating or walking you need to rescue.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Save the Hippos!. This Storyline is part of Sojourner of the Waking Shores which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Quests in order I done:

1. Erstwhile Ecologists - Start from Mender Eskros 71.21 40.47 go to Ecologist Iskha 74.43 42.13.
2a. Wildlife Rescue - Rescue 20 animals good spot 79.16 49.20
2b. A Scalpel of a Solution - Slay 5 Rampaging Water and 5 Rampaging Wind.
4. Forensic Ecology - Press on Soggymaw Gorloc Corpse, Windyfin Gorloc Corpse and Viscera-Covered Shells all on table next to NPC.
5a. A Sledgehammer of a Solution - Slay Sogglmoggl 80.04 43.62 and Whirglgurgl 79.74 40.02. After this Quest Storyline will finish.
5b. Don't Be So Shellfish - Is no tfor storyline but can be done in same time. Collect 15 Water-Infused Shell on ground and 15 Wind-Infused Shell on top need to fly or use win throw 78.60 42.17

Easiest way to rescue 20 is to help the crabs. They are found in packs of three, most people focus on the hippos or the ducks, they don't do knockbacks.

BASICS:

Start by killing
- Rampaging Water (x5) and
- Rampaging Wind (x5), for

A Scalpel of a Solution, given by Ecologist Ishka (beside Ecologist Tharu, who gives this quest).
Each one has trapped an animal, so releasing them should get you to or near 10.

A tip for the Rampaging Wind mobs, that often have animals in the air. Watch the patterns. Tag or get close to the Rampaging Wind mobs, when the animals in the air are nearest to the ground. Wherever you tag the Rampaging Wind mobs, the animal will stop. If you tag them when they're higher up, you may not be able to reach and rescue them.

The rest? Create a basic target macro and target Cowering Crab mobs.
The advantage of the Cowering Crab mobs is that they don't knock you back, making the rest of the quest much faster.

DETAILS:

One of the most basic examples of a target macro is
/tar Cowering
You can add another line and have the macro mark the mobs for you. The macro would then look like
/tar Cowering
/run SetRaidTarget("target", 2)
There are other lines that can be added that ignore dead mobs, play music to indicate a mob has been found, etc.

You can get a lot, of the content of the two quests, done in the area surrounding /way 76.3 46.7.
If you don't complete them there, continue east and interact with the crabs. They tend to be near the water.
You ought to be finished both quests, before you go far enough east to reach /way 80.4 48.7.

This is one of those quests that is done a lot more easily when you can see the rough area, that the quest is meant to be done in.
You can do that by clicking your Tracking Menu (the binoculars icon, above the minimap) and choosing Track Quest POIs.

Rescue the wildlife of the Restless Wetlands.

Description

It doesn't take an ecologist to see that the wetlands are in real trouble. But Iskha's got us stuck here examining dead creatures when we ought to be stopping them from dying in the first place! The red dragonflight is about preserving life--not dissecting it! I love Iskha, and he's good at what he does, but if we wait until he's done puttering, there won't be any wetlands left to save. I'll manage his overthinking. You get out there, get your boots muddy, and rescue some wildlife.
