I have no idea what happened. I'm trying to make a "max level chromie time alt". Aka, as many talent points as humanly possible, but not locked out of selecting a timeline. Then I kill my xp gains and just play old content in a fun, non-one-shot way. Thing is, I dinged 59 (this is dragonflight pre-patch times for future readers), and I dare not try my hand at 60.

I teleport back to the capital to kill my XP gains, then I get this quest popup. I really don't care when I return to the capital and get a quest popup, there's a bunch of them, didn't even read nothing. BUUUUT, then I hear chromie yelling at me. So I think "ahhh %^&*, am I locked out?" Well, I didn't get the scroll. No idea what happened there. But I was not locked out. I got KICKED out of my timeline, but I wasn't locked out yet. Could still choose a timeline.

Killed my xp and thought nothing of it after.

TL;DR for Chromie Twinks. You can ding 59 with no issue. Just kill XP and re-select a timeline.

So just a heads up. I turned this quest in to Chromie at 59 and received no follow up quest. I was able to take the boat to the Dragon Isles but I wasn't able to get any quests aside from the profession quests. World Quests also weren't available. As it turns out, you need to actually be 60 to proceed with the expansion, yet the text from the quest suggest you can start it NOW. I assume this quest worked fine prior to Dragonflight, but now it's almost pointless.

Anyways, just head back to Chromie and start timewalking again to get to 60 and proceed as normal.

I was in a dungeon and ding'd 59 when this popped up and when the dungeon finished I could not turn it into Chromie anymore so had to abandon it.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or after 10.1.5 it works correctly. On L58 nothing happened and on L60 I got this quest and a scroll to port to the main city. And no more 60s timer for forced porting.

Got 60 and got this quest (Chromie blabbering to me wile i was in the zone...)

Thing is: I didnt get the scroll and cant turn in this quest. Wanted to come back anyhow, but anoying af

I got this quest when I reached level 60 on my worgen, but couldn't hand it in anywhere. After a relog I could turn it in by completing it in my quest log.
