To complete the quest you need to activate the Eroded Waystone in Cocyrus.
Activate the gates and prepare to fight through three waves of mobs.
Best tactics is letting your allies to keep aggro as a group of mobs may kill you (unless you're tank spec).

This is the last quest for the Into the Maw achievement. As a class with stealth abilities, you can just wait for the NPCs do your job while dodging attacks from above.

I was in a group with someone who had completed it already and had some phasing issues. When I accepted the quest and activated the waystone, the npcs and waystone disappeared and couldn't turn it in when complete.

Be careful doing this in a group, it will bug out as of launch day. If someone in the group turns in, it will portal them and end the quest and whoever did not click the stone first will be left behind. Abandon and redo the defending the stone quest and it will work for the person left behind.

As of launch day this bugged out for me where the eroded waystone just disappeared. Based on some comment seems it may be due to if you're in a party and someone in the party completes it before you.

For me I left party, abandoned quest and took it again - this did not fix the issue. Logging out and logging back in fixed it though.

I present introduction to Shadowlands quest chain. You have to do 22 quests after finish Stand as One you will achieve Into the Maw.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1. Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons	Speak with High Inquisitor Whitemane to see video then follow Highlord Darion Mograine He will open portal. Then speak with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon to finish.
2. Through the Shattered Sky	Move 4 shards to them place to finish Ritual. You will be teleported to The Maw
3. A Fractured Blade	You need to rallied 10 Death Knight. You doing this quest together with 4. Mawsworn Menace
4. Mawsworn Menace	Kill 8 any Mawsworn forces. finish quest to Highlord Darion Mograine He will run with You.
5. Ruiner's End	Start this quest from Wilona Thorne 23 52. Kill Ruiner Maroth 20 46 and move to 21.5 42.
6. Fear to Tread	You need to find 3 clue - 22 43, 21 39 and 21.5 36 then find Lady Jaina Proudmoore 22 33.
7. On Blackened Wings	You will see video then kill 6 Mawsworn Harbinger.
8. A Flight from Darkness	Escort Lady Jaina Proudmoore to the cave.
9. A Moment's Respite	Speak to Jaina
10. Field Seance	Use Shattered Helm of Domination on 5 Malice Shadow when they are under 50% hp.
11. Speaking to the Dead	Use Shattered Helm of Domination on Tormented Amalgamation 28 31.5 when He is under 20% hp.
12. Soul in Hand	Take Soul to the cave.
13. The Lion's Cage	Go to Upper Tremaculum use portal under it 27.5 17.5 and find Anduin Wrynn.
14. The Afflictor's Key	find Afflictor's Key is droping from Phael the Afflictor 28.5 11.5 100% drop. You can do this quest together with An Undeserved Fate.
15. An Undeserved Fate	find Mawsworn Key killinf mobs around then open cages to released 15 Souls. Move back to Anduin Wrynn.
16. From the Mouths of Madness	You will be teleported then speak with Highlord Darion Mograine.
17. By and Down the River	Go to River of Souls 29.5 36 ( is on bridge ) then will be a movie after move to 29.7 42.5 will be one more movie
18. A Good Axe	Find a suitable weapon for Thrall in Mawsworn Armaments you can do this quest together with Wounds Beyond Flesh.
19. Wounds Beyond Flesh	Fine Wither Blade is droping from Mawsworn Soulrender
20. Draw Out the Darkness	Kill Withering Presence.
21. The Path to Salvation	Follow Lady Jaina Proudmoore
22. Stand as One	Use and defend Eroded Waystone when will get to 80% use Eroded Waystone one more time will be video and chain fill finish :)

In case you want to read it altogether, here's the dialogue that occurs during this quest with significant actions in < >.

<Your group, consisting of Jaina, Thrall, Anduin, and Baine, have reached the ancient waystone. As you approach it, the waystone seems to react to your presence and starts to glow with power.>
Jaina: When the Jailer realizes our plan, he'll send all his forces against us. Our only chance is to keep them at bay long enough for the waystone to fully charge. Every second counts!
The Jailer: A relic of the First Ones... responding to a mortal? Impossible! Mawsworn! Take them!

<Mawsworn forces attack your group while the waystone charges. As the fight is drawn out, an army slowly gathers around and The Jailer himself arrives on site.>
Jaina: Hold the line! The waystone must finish charging!
The Jailer: My forces are vast! Endless!
Thrall: We have stopped endless armies before. We will never yield!
Jaina: It's nearly charged! Do not falter!
The Jailer: Death comes for the soul of your world! All that you see--all that you know--will be undone!
Baine Bloodhoof: Jaina, something's wrong. It seems the waystone has stopped charging!
Jaina: The stone responds to you, champion! Try to activate it while we hold off the Jailer's army!

<Upon touching the waystone (and completing the quest), a cinematic starts.>
<Mawsworn forces close in on the group, while you run up to the waystone.>
The Jailer: Nothing escapes the Maw. Yield to the inevitable!
Anduin: They've stopped their advance...
<The Jailer raises his hand and sends out a wall of black energy. When it touches Jaina, Baine, and Thrall, black chains rise up to capture them, similar to their initial abductions. Anduin is closest to the waystone and behind the others. Seeing his allies captured, he calms himself.>
Anduin: The Light is with me... even here.
<The Light responds to him and creates a barrier around the waystone that stops the black energy wall.>
Anduin: Go, champion! Go!
<You touch the waystone and it activates, teleporting you away from the Maw.>
The Jailer: Interesting...
<The Jailer raises his hand again and shatters Anduin's barrier. Black chains rise up to capture Anduin as well.>
Anduin: <looking defiantly at The Jailer> You... have failed.
The Jailer: No... I have precisely what I need.
<Cinematic ends.>

<You appear in a strange place, in a city you have never seen before.>
Attendant Protector: An agent of the Maw is attacking Oribos! Defend the Arbiter!
Protector Captain: Hold. The Maw's power does linger upon them, but I sense... No, that cannot be possible!

Since the progress bar keeps ticking up constantly and the team of NPC allies will aggro and kill everything easily on their own, I decided to not help at all on one of my alts. Just stealthed and dodged the occasional swooping enemy. I'm pretty sure there's no way to actually fail this. After running this on a few alts, it's nice to semi-afk through the end.

My mom found a spot by accident where the air bombing forsworn cant touch you.

At 42.29, 42. 34. Right of the Waystone, up the metal bars.

Here is an AFK spot for the quest. (On the side that you came from, under the diagonal rock)

<Anduin examines the obelisk intently.> I've never seen markings like these before. I've studied titan artifacts, but this appears to be made by a different hand. Hmm. It doesn't respond to me. I think Jaina's right. The waystone is reacting to your presence. Perhaps you'll have better luck activating it. Stay on your guard. The Jailer's forces paid this no mind when it was dormant, but there's no telling what they'll do if that changes.
