Triple-elite encounter, you face two melee; Sigryn (243m HP), Jarl Velbrand (186.9m HP) and a caster Runeseer Faljar (213.5m HP). When you approach Sigryn, a barrier will appear, marking the area you can fight in, this is about 100yd in diameter. The fight does not begin until you hit Sigryn, Faljar and Velbrand and unattackable during this time. Once the encounter begins, Faljar will start casting shadowbolt and Velbrand will hurl axes. After a period of time, Velbrand will join Sigryn in beating you in the face.

As the fight progresses, she will empower Velbrand. Runeseer Faljar will cast runes on the ground which will detonate after a period of time if you do not stand on them. She will also summon a wall of death, similar to Cordana Felsong in Vault of the Wardens, find the gap and avoid the pain.

As an arcane mage, you get a beneficial debuff Arcane Biology which adds a 20 second cooldown to polymorph and removes the heal-over-time effect. All three can be polymorphed/slowed.

If you fail this fight, you will need to pay 100 Nethershards to re-enter the instance.

This is a continuation of the Sigryn story campaign in patch 7.2, which you can begin once the first major Broken Shore construction is completed.

Assassination Rogues get the debuff aura Dusty Pockets, which substantially reduces both the duration and cooldown of Blind. At the beginning of the fight, both Jarl Velbrand and Runeseer Faljar appear to be immune to Blind, however Sigryn herself is not.

How the Hell do u take them when she empowers him and all the agro jumps on you as a demo lock with felguard or voidwalker u cant seem to get them re agro again after the first empower

Paladins doesnt get any buffs but some yellow orbs drops on the map they heal you for half of your hp

You can cc her with Repentance, but both Jarl and Runeseer are inmune to it

When Jarl Velbrand is empowered you can use Hand of Hindrancee to slow him and kite him.

The Mage tower was just completed this evening on NA.
Talking to the NPC in front of the mage tower teleports you to The Halls of Valor for free for the first time, this may reset daily but It's not known as of yet, and if you die, upon releasing you're teleported back to Deliverance Point, and it will cost 100 Nethershards to get there again. It's worth mentioning that it costs 100 Nethershards each time you do go back so it doesn't get terribly expensive unless you're dying multiple times.
Upon approaching, Sigryn notices your approach and can see through stealth, Locking you into a circular arena. You cannot leave this arena by any known means.
As a Rogue Dusty Pockets was made available to me, I am not sure what paladins and other classes receive or if they receive anything at all.

Sigryn
An elite level 112 Mob, Melee hits very hard, Is the only target that isn't immune to Blind of the three, I would reccomend keeping it up on her at all times

An elite level 112 Mob, Melee hits for mild damage and casts Hurl Axe

Runeseer Faljar
An elite level 112 Mob, Casts Shadowbolt and melee hits for light damage.

The strategy I've been trying to use so far is to keep Blind up on Sigryn at all times and try to interrupt Falijar at every opportunity. They currently deal a lot of damage and this is probably going to be fairly challenging if you're not already decently geared, The two adds have about a little under 300 million health, and Sigryn herself has 342 million. I'm not sure if these values are intended as of yet but it doesn't seem entirely possible barring a mechanic that I have so far missed.

So as and Enhancement Shammy I went into this place blind like most people and this is what I found out. I haven't finished it ether just got them down to 60%

Sigyrn can be CC(Hex, Stun, and Slow.) she does AoE(Blood of her Father), Also leave patches of fel fire on the floor, She also summons Dark Valkyr that come at you in a Horizontal line look for an opening to live. She also empowers Jarl Velbrand and Runeseer Faljar.

Jarl Velbrand He throws Axes that knock you back a bit, For shammy He can't be hexed, Sigyrn will also enraged him causing him to do massive amount of damage to you so Kite him in the small circle Stuns and slows work on him too. later in the fight he does a whirlwind you gotta run out of it as it will suck you in too dealing damage as long as your in the whirlwind.

Runeseer Faljar will keep casting shadowblot even if you interrupt him, He makes these runes pop on the floor one small, One Medium, and One large step on them to get rid of them or take 3mil damage each, When he gets empowered from Sigryn he get a bubble that absorbs 600k dps brust it quick to interrupt him casting a spell that does 5mil in damage.

So what I did Was pull Sigyrn to the entrance of where you enter then I hexed her there and I left her there always checking her to see when hex was going to run out, and I went towards Jarl Valbrand and dps him so he can stop throwing the axes, While taking shadowbolt from Jarl Velbrand and watching out for the small circle that deal 3mil a piece, While dpsing Jarl then when Jarl gets empowered I started kiting Jarl stunning and slowing him since he does 500% increase damage.

That all I seen so far hopefully this kinda helps people and give them a new way to approach this.

Just a heads up, it is currently possible to blink through the borders of the arena, resulting in the encounter completely resetting.

Also when this happens they don't respawn because thanks Blizzard! Your only option in this case is to just leave and pay the gatekeeper to try again.

Just Beat IT!

So they way to get this done is you have to pay attention at all times. I start off (im a enh sham) by pull agro on sig and the caster in the corner cleaving the two of them. As soon as the melee guy empowers, i stun him which eats up 5 sec of his channel. then i slow his ass down so i can run and stomp on the 3 runes (you just run over them, 1 is small 1 is medium 1 is large, if they shrink to nothing they explode basically 1 shotting you unless you are full health. After that sig will start to channel her kill ability (she says i have teh power of my father or something lik that) that is when you want to cc her with sheep, blind, hex or whatever you have. it stops her channel and you can go one dealing with the melee and caster. the caster will then shield and you need to dmg it out then interrupt him or you are one shot again. during that sig (even while cc'd) will call valkyr and they will rush in a line with 1 open spot, drop everything and run to it. this will continue on and the melee guy will do a whirlwind ability, just go to edge of it and do a range attack on them or heal if you have it ( throughout the fight odyn will throw you a bone by putting out golden orbs which will heal you big time if you get, they dissapear) Other than that it just rinse and repeat, they do share health so if you can cleave them its great but if you got to cc and focus one do whatever it takes. took me 25 tries to get it. The God-Queen's Fury is a continuation of the Retribution: Fate of the Tideskorn questline in patch 7.2. It is available to Arcane Mages, Assassination Rogues, Demonology Warlocks, Enhancement Shaman, and Retribution Paladins.

Sigyrn (264.7 million HP) is joined in combat by Jarl Velbrand (198.5 million HP) and Runeseer Faljar (226.9 million HP).

Abilities:
Sigryn
Throw Spear - Sigryn tosses a spear toward you that creates a green fel puddle where it impacts. Move out of these as quickly as possible (it's possible to move as soon as the spear is thrown and never be hit by the spear or the puddle).
Advance - Deals damage and a small knockback. Mostly annoying.
Dark Wings - "I command legions, mortal!" - Summons a wall of dark val'kyr to charge across the area, dealing a high (lethal?) amount of damage to the player. There is a gap in the wall of val'kyr (similar to Cordana Felsong's Creeping Doom ability from Heroic/Mythic Vault of the Wardens) that will allow the wall to pass the player harmlessly.
Empowered - Empowers one of the NPCs in the fight to use a powerful ability.
Blood of the Father - "The power of my father's blood flows through me!" - Sigryn's Empowered ability. Sigryn pulses an extremely high and quickly lethal amount of fire damage across the area for 30 seconds. This ability is not interruptable; however, using a long crowd control ability (such as Polymorph or Repentance) will prevent the fire pulses from occurring, so long as she remains CC'd.

Jarl Velbrand
Hurl Axe - Velbrand throws his axe in an arc toward the player. The axe's path is visible, and can be avoided.
Bladestorm - A large area whirlwind attack that slowly draws you toward Velbrand. Run away from it or stun him.
Berserker's Rage - "The Drekirjar never yield!" - Velbrand's Empowered ability. Velbrand begins to pursue the player, and deal increased damage. Slows, stuns, or running away should be employed to avoid this.

Runeseer Faljar
Shadowbolt - Pretty straightforward ability. Interruptable.
Ancestral Knowledge/Ancestral Knowledge - "I draw upon the power of my ancestors!" - Faljar's Empowered ability. Faljar shields himself and begins channeling. Breaking the absorb shield will allow you to interrupt the channel. A DPS cooldown will help you get through the shield.

Throughout the encounter, several runes will appear on the ground, gradually shrinking in size as they get closer to expiring. If the runes are not stepped on before they expire, they will cause Runic Detonation, resulting in instant death.

Also appearing throughout the area are Orb of Valor. These will heal you for a significant portion of your health, and you'll need them!

Failing the encounter will result in your removal from the scenario. Retrying the scenario will cost you 100 Nethershards.

Assassination rogue here! So, blind is up every 30 seconds with a duration of 35, giving a good bit of time to refresh it. So could someone explain to me why she is breaking Blind within 15 seconds?

More information, I am blinding her at the entrance that you walk through. So I know there is zero dmg hitting her. I watched her break blind multiple times within 15 or less seconds of it being applied without a single point of dmg being done to her.

So a little insight on this might be helpful?

Here's a video/guide to the arcane mage challenge. 909 equipped. Didn't use Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus or Belo'vir's Final Stand, I don't have them.

Don't know how other players did it, but here's the gist of how I killed this, I was 909 equipped. Even bad players like me can get their challenge appearance as arcane mage!

Talents: Amplification, Mana Shield, Incanter's Flow, Resonance, Chrono Shift, Erosion, Overpowered

Mana shield lets you spam your barrier and avoid being whittled down by attrition. Chrono Shift lets you get sprints when you need it. Resonance is just for cleaving damage. I swapped to Gravity Spiral to give me more evocates for mana shield, Cord of Infinity for burst on the runeseer.

This is NOT a dps race, except during the soft enrage at the end when the Runeseer spams his shield. You can freely use greater invisibility to reduce damage it won't reset the encounter. I used Time Warp at the start but in retrospect it's probably better to use it during the soft enrage.

You get a special debuff in this encounter giving Polymorph a 20 second cooldown, but it no longer heals its target. Only Sigryn is vulnerable to polymorph, the others are immune.

Three things will happen in this encounter at all times.
1:Every so often a Val'kyr will come down and drop a yellow health globe to heal you if you run over it. Only lasts a few seconds.
2: A wall of Val'kyrs will charge through the arena, there's a clear gap, hits for about 3 million. This can happen during other abilities and it sucks.
3: Runes will spawn in the middle. Some will be smaller than others, they shrink over time and do 3 million damage if they shrink to nothing. This is a great time to use chrono shift and arcane barrage for a sprint. You can also use displacement to get extra blinks to get these.

The three bosses take shared damage, but the Jarl will die first due to his lower health pool. The bosses will become empowered one at a time and do an emote yell indicating they're empowered. The empowered boss will use something deadly you need to pay attention to.

Sigryn: She'll cast Blood of the Father. This lasts 20 seconds and does 700k a second to you. You need to counter this by polymorphing Sigryn. You can't spam polymorph when it comes up or she'll go on DRs and go immune. Save polymorph for this. I suggest using a /cast Polymorph macro and making Sigryn your focus. She also puts green $%^& on the ground when not empowered.

Jarl Velbrand: Either goes berserk increasing melee damage done by 500% or something stupid, or does a whirlwind that pulls you in and makes you dead if you go too close. Countered by kiting or running. Suggest making a /tar Jarl /cast Slow macro for him. Also throws annoying axes around when not empowered.

Runeseer Faljar: Gives himself a damage shield for ~6 million damage and does a 20 second cast that kills you at the end unless you break the shield and interrupt. Advise having frost nova up to give yourself room to dps him during it. You can't really save cooldowns though since he'll cast it more often than your arcane power and mark of aluneth cooldowns come up. Also he spams a meaningless nuke on you easily absorbed by prismatic barrier with mana shield.

Basic strategy: On the pull you can safely polymorph Sigryn and do your opener. After this you're just dealing with the abilities as they come and focusing on not taking damage.

This is not a dps race. You'll get all the damage you need from occasional arcane blasts and missiles when you have distance, and arcane explosion and barrage while kiting.

Keep slow or chrono shift up on Sigryn and Jarl when they're chasing you and remember displacement and frost nova to keep distance as needed. When runes come up make sure to barrage to get a sprint to grab them all.

When the council gets low on health Sigryn will emote about empowering all her advisors, which actually means a soft enrage in which Val'kyr healy bubbles will not spawn and Runeseer Faljar will spam his shield over and over again, which is a challenge to dps down repeatedly. Try to save frost nova to create distance to cast, and space your cooldowns out to deal with it. Val'kyrs will come during it and it will suck. You can polymorph Sigryn freely now, but she'll go immune eventually. If you aren't going to get a shield down, ice block can save you once.

Final tip: Leaving the circle resets the encounter, but the bosses won't respawn and you'll need to exit and re-enter to try again.

Just beat this as as 902 equipped Ret paladin. I pretty much spent the first half of the fight keeping Sigryn CC'd at the edge of the ring so I could hit her friends in the center, giving me enough time to hit runes and dodge the kill-waves that would be sent at you. Once the runes stopped coming out I would break Sig free and try to cleave the trio down as much as I could with defensives keeping me alive until I felt like I was in danger of dying. Then I'd CC Sig up again and heal to safety while always standing near the caster add to make sure I could DPS his shield down ASAP. I suggest saving Divine Shield for moments when you have little time to pop his shield but the kill wave will hit you if you don't move.

I don't know whether it's by design or not, but after awhile, the Runeseer just keeps using his shield, and as a ret paladin, there's no way I can break through with all my cooldowns unavailable.

Just won this on my 4th try as enhance shaman (904 ilvl using EotN ring and roots of shaladrassil for sustain, did 18.3M heal)
The encounter seems a bit buggy, you can just keep Sigryn on Hex the whole fight, the only time she wasnt on hex she just stood there, aside from that step on runes asap, avoid valkyrs charge and run from the melee on the WW and rage

904 Demonology Warlock here- Stubyscuz on US-Arthas- I just defeated this encounter.

My talents: Demonic Calling, Improved Dreadstalkers, Mortal Coil, Hand of Doom (though i guess soul harvest could work too, idk), Demon Skin, Grimoire of Service, and Summon Darkglare.

This is a council boss w/ shared health, Darkglare's damage is essentially tripled so that's a no-brainer. Grimoire is for summoning a felhunter to interrupt Ancestral Knowledge, otherwise hard summon a felhunter then go back to felguard. Otherwise, full health + unending resolve will tank it, but should be a last resort and saved for the Jarl's fixate.

Why did I take mortal coil? Simple.

It interrupts Blood of the Father if it hits before it casts. Ditto if you use Fear in time, and I could assume potentially for Polymorph, Blind, and other loss-of-control effects. Using fear however, I've discovered, does NOT break on damage. Continue to apply Doom to Sigryn to push the encounter, along with darkglare. While others say 'save a dps cooldown for ancestral knowledge', Darkglare easily does that since the damage is mirrored between the three council members.

Save Axe Toss for when the Jarl fixates on you and he gets close, since it tends to line up with Runes. Make liberal use of Demonwrath to DPS while moving while you handle runes. Use Unending resolve otherwise, because he hits like a freight train and most likely will catch up to you if you dont use demon gate or demon circle.

Finished as a Retribution Paladin. Pretty tricky. Poor placement will get you killed, and bad luck will ruin everything. A mez and mobility are the keys here: Sigryn requires mez (Repentance, Hex, Blind) as often as possible, and if a rune explodes you're probably dead. The most important thing is to try to keep yourself around the center ring and don't stop paying attention to the va'lkyr, as you can only survive this at like 90% health or higher. The val'kyr don't have an opening on the very edges like Cordana's mechanic, usually middle-left or -right.

* Keep Sigryn under your mez as often as possible. Save your hard stun for when she becomes immune mez to interrupt Blood of the Father. I've found this is the best time to use your DPS cooldowns, as your AoE is really only effective if it's on all 3. By the time you're done, you can mez Sigryn again; good pattern to repeat. Note that if you don't interrupt the her Blood of the Father, you'll only stop six seconds of the damage and likely die. If she does the callout for this while mezzed, don't panic--she didn't break out, she tried to cast it and couldn't. She won't try again for a while. Note that she will still spawn val'kyr while cc'ed, as well as empower her allies. The main reason to keep her down is for Blood of the Father and those annoying spears, the fel ground really hurts.

* The Runeseer is who you want to keep your DPS on most of the time. He's the only one you can stand close to without harm, you need to break his absorb shield to interrupt the instant kill, and he is the most manageable to kite by backpedaling... usually. He's kind of fussy but he'll usually follow you if you're in melee range in between two of his Shadowbolt casts. If you run too far from melee range he won't follow you. Don't bother interrupting his Shadowbolts as they do negligible damage and don't make him follow you any more than he normally would (he casts while moving). Save your mobility for popping the runes, but try to use it only where necessary. You can get them all without it if you're in a good spot, you'll just stop DPS while you do it. Don't get too antsy, tiger, you can't DPS when you're dead. Keep the Runeseer out of Sigryn's fel pools as often as possible, as you don't want to be trying to DPS him while he's stuck in one.

* The Jarl's axes have a wonky pattern but they're not hard to dodge and don't do too much damage. When he rages at the start, slow him down, kite him a bit, then stun if you can. If you know Sigryn won't be immune to mez for a while (like at the start), a stun on the Jarl is a good choice. His whirlwind move is easy to get away from, but try to keep him out of the inner circle of the room so you have no trouble getting the runes when they drop. The Jarl may follow and attack you while his rage isn't active; this is a good time to put some damage on him if the Runeseer's being fussy, but work toward positioning yourself back to him asap. Just be wary of his yell about the Drekrjar never fail or whatever, and get away from him. He will wreck you in seconds. In general, just keep away from him, try not to waste a stun on him.

The Jarl will die towards the end of the encounter. At this point you've hit the home stretch. DPS the remaining two for a bit and they'll yield.

Be patient and don't panic. The mechanics are where almost all the damage comes from, there's just a lot of them to juggle. Save your cooldowns for when you get in a tight spot (you will), and you'll get it eventually. Good luck!

Notes to Retribution Paladins: Spec for Repentance, Cavalier, and the oft-ignored Justicar's Vengeance for this. wouldn't be a bad idea here either, for when you're out of range while the Runeseer's got his shield up, but Final Verdict will help you take it down faster; your call, I stuck with Final Verdict. You don't want Divine Hammer or Zeal for this since you don't wanna break Sigryn's mez. Likewise, don't use the Skorpyron trinket, and only Judgement when you won't cleave her. Only use Divine Storm when you're attacking all 3 with Crusade, keeping an eye on Sigryn to stun her. We don't get a buff for this, but we scarcely need one. Even the healing orbs are redundant if you take Justicar's Vengeance, don't go out of your way to get them or you risk messing up your placement or losing the kite on Runeseer.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Wowhead##DELIM##

Assassination Rogue here, This is a fun quest but super stupid hard, any other rogues complete this as assassination yet if so are there any hints other than keeping the queen bee blinded? There has got to be something here to make this some one better for people lol, I get its made to be a "challenge" but good lord...

FYI - Self-resurrection is a waste of time here. You still end up being forced to walk out, as the encounter does not reset if you die.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this but when I killed her she died on 21% (I believe 21% was displayed not 20%, weird number I know). So you might be closer to beating her than you think.
897 ilvl ret if anyone sub 900 ilvl needs motivation took about 20 tries, a few of them the runes blew up as soon as they spawned so there are bugs.

I used the following talents:
Master Poisoner
Nightstalker
Vigor
Leeching Poison
Thugee
Alacrity (Optional)
Venom Rush

Spread poisons and dots to all 3 and maintain throughout the fight. The only exception is when Blood of Her Father is casting.

Make sure you keep your speed boost available for runes and to run away from Jarl Velbrand when he goes berserk.
Stay away from whirlwind as well.

When Sigryn is casting Blood of Her Father, immediately turn and blind her for this. Do not blind her outside of this because of diminishing returns.

Do not get hit by the wall of Valkyries. There is a small hole that appears, just walk over to it and keep dpsing the two adds that come to you. Do not stand in fel puddle.

Make sure you can dps the shield down from Faljar and kick as soon as shield is down. If you have to, alternate CDs for this, or if you comfortably get the shield down, use all CDs when they are up.

I was doing steady dps to all 3 adds, but I mainly focused on Velbrand unless Faljar was casting. If you are in a bind, make sure to use evasion and cloak when appropriate.
Repeat these steps and you should be good to go. Make sure you pop crimson vile when you dip to about 80%.
If you cannot take down the shield before the cast is finished reliably, you may need to review rotation or get more gear.

Okay so i put hours of determination into this and finally killed it. From what i've seen i've picked up on some patterns, as i post this DBM doesn't have anything on this so i don't know exactly how the timers work, there does seem to be an order to everything, but timers tended to overlap in not so great ways.

First the mechanics:
Every utility ability you have has a use!

Sigryn: BLIND, not stunnable
First of all, Sigryn is the only target that is blindable, and is unstunnable. Blind (while in this encounter) has a 30 second cd and lasts 35 seconds, it does have DRs so you'll want to use them at specific times. She doesn't do much damage so i used her to keep my bleeds on just for extra leech heals. Only time i blinded her was when she begins to cast her self empowering ability, you will hear her yell something along the lines of "by the power of my father"

she will cast this empowerment whether she is blinded or not and it seemed to have an internal cd of about 35-45 seconds. so if she is already blinded while she tries to cast it, she skips that cycle and you're safe to break your blind. if she isnt blinded she will begin casting, just blind her on the spot and then you are safe to break it right after as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A BLIND MACRO /cast blind

When Sigryn isnt blinded she will drop fire puddles on the ground, avoid them. the only time they are porblematic is when the runeseer pops his empowerment in the fire (more on that later)

Sigryns last ability is the valkyr wall, it works very much like cordanas wall, as in it comes from a random direction and has a gap in it you have to stand it, however they charge across the field extremely fast!.

Jarl Velbrand: CC: cheap shot or kidney shot
this guy is pretty straight forward, he starts the fight standing still throwing axes around that circle the field and do heavy damage, are avoidable. when he is done chucking axes he will just run at you and melee, he doesn't hit hard, most of the time he is the easiest target to focus. His empowerment makes him hit faster and harder (a lot) but runs slower and can be kited. Also evasion works really well here as you will avoid most of the damage, then when evasion runs out just land a kidney shot on him. when he is not empowered, he is pretty much just a leech sponge.

the last ability jarl casts is bladestorm, lots of damage near him and you get sucked towards him for the duration, just run away from it or stun it (can be stunned during the pre cast or during the bladestorm itself)

Runeseer faljar CC interruptible (however arcane torrent did not work)
Runeseer sits and casts shadowbolts at you, can be interrupted, not necessary, sometimes casts while running, sometimes he will chase you if you get close, all in all he is hard to kite around like Jarl, just attack him when you can get him out of the fire.

Runeseer regularly drops a set of 3 runes in the center of the room of 3 different sizes. The runes shrink over time and if they disappear they do about 3 million magic damage so prioritize these. all you have to do is run through them. Be careful though because i had times when they were smaller where it was hard to trigger them and i ended up dying. Rune sets sometimes do appear back to back or even overlapping times.

Runeseers empowerment is a 5 million damage shield, and a cast time that must be interrupt AFTER the bubble is popped or it will do 5 million damage to you. Save vendetta or kingsbane for this, you wont need both. The worst cast scenario is Sigryn casts fire on the floor underneath runeseer. In this case, pop everything and get that shield down with your dots, use feint to lower damage taken, cloak if needed.

after about 4 minutes or so most of the mechanics disappear. and all that is left is the runeseers channel, the fire on the ground, and the valkyr wall. my advice here is save blind for when the shield comes up because A) Sigryn doesn't cast God power anymore B) He does not cast fire while blinded (he will still cast valkyrs)

yellow orbs spawn during the first half, you'll see a valkur dive bomb an area, heals for about half your health, disappears in about 5-10 seconds.

So realistically, a lot of people will be waiting for blizz to nerf this encounter so they can actually beat it.
Frankly, given my current skill level, gear, and time I'm actually able to dedicate to gearing up, this encounter is not something I'll be able to handle in the foreseeable future.

Note: I don't have a problem with hard encounters, but I don't think the quest text adequately warns you about what you're stepping into.

I have completed this quest as an assassination rogue with an item level of 900 (item level added as per KyleTheWeasel's request). Below I will explain my strategy. Most of the mechanics for this encounter will be handled consistently between classes on this quest and have been covered by multiple commenters, so I will only explain the handling of mechanics unique to assassination rogues.

Short version:
•Perform your single target rotation on Runeseer Faljar
•Use Kick to interrupt Runeseer Faljar's casts of Shadowbolt and force him to follow you.
•Set Sigryn to focus and use the macro below to cast Blind on her to interrupt Blood of the Father or to simply prevent her from being a nuisance. However, please note that, according to according to wowhead's official guide, Blind has a diminishing return for this encounter (it will last less and less if you cast it back to back).
•Use the macro below to cast Poisoned Knife on Jarl Velbrand to maintain crippling poison on him while he is buffed with Empowered to make him easier to kite.¹

My strategy was to carry out the single target assassination rotation on Runeseer Faljar while using abilities to minimize the threat posed by Sigryn and Jarl Velbrand coupled with macros to minimize the need to manually switch targets. As assassination rogues excel at single target scenarios (and I'm admittedly not the best with the assassination multi-target rotation), this was beneficial. However, it was occasionally difficult to force Runeseer Faljar to follow me while moving around to handle mechanics.

Runeseer Faljar, being a caster, tends to remain stationary while casting Shadowbolt, but using kick to interrupt this spell will cause him to pursue you and attack you with melee for a short time, which is very important, as you will need to move to handle various mechanics. Additionally, he is seemingly immune to Crippling Poison, which makes him ideal for kiting.

To deal with Sigryn, I set her as my focus and used the following macro to maintain Blind on her:

Because Dusty Pockets increases the duration of Blind to 35 seconds and reduces the cooldown to 30 seconds, I was able to keep Sigryn blinded for the majority of the fight. Initially, I thought Blind expired early on her due to finicky behavior of the buff. However, according to wowhead's official guide, it turns out this was the result of diminishing return, so, again, keep this in mind, as interrupting her cast of Blood of the Father is vital.

To deal with Jarl Velbrand while he was buffed with Empowered, I kited him while maintaining Crippling Poison on him using the following macro:¹

In closing, here are some miscellaneous tips:
•Keep in mind that, while mechanics will become increasingly frequent as the encounter goes on, you must not prioritize DPS over mechanics.
•Although this may be a bug, it seems that, after a certain length of time passes during the encounter, most mechanics save for Runeseer Faljar's Ancestral Knowledge stop occuring, and Ancestral Knowledge begins to occur much more frequently. At this point, it is important to be mindful of Runeseer Faljar's location, as it becomes increasingly likely that he will be in a patch of fel when he begins to cast Ancestral Knowledge.
•Please note that the only form of crowd control Sigryn is susceptible to is Blind; she doesn't seem to be affected by Cheap Shot or Kidney Shot. (information added as per durrable's suggestion)
•Don't be afraid to use defensive legendaries such as Will of Valeera and Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus or slow down your DPS to heal and deal with mechanics.
•I suggest adjusting your talents to this encounter (for example, I chose Internal Bleeding over Iron Wire, as I needed to make use of your stuns, and all of the bosses were going to die at the same time)
•Use Cloak of Shadows if you're faced with two mechanics that deal magic damage at the same time and you don't think you'll be able to avoid damage from them.
•If you need to interrupt Runeseer Faljar's Ancestral Knowledge and Kick won't be off cooldown in time, Cheap Shot or Kidney Shot may be used.
•You can use Cheap Shot or Kidney Shot to interrupt Jarl Velbrand's Bladestorm
•You will probably need to save Sprint for Runeseer Faljar's Runic Detonation
•Using Vanish will not reset the encounter.
•Be careful when using Shadowstep, as it might cause you to appear outside the arena and cause the bosses to despawn. If this happens, you will have to pay another 100 Nethershards to purchase another attempt, as the bosses will not respawn.
•If you play with low graphics settings, consider setting Particle Density to "High" to make the runes easier to see.
•If you intend to use consumables that fade on death (runes and food), get a few attempts in first and only use them when you're confident a successful attempt is around the corner.

I suggest putting Sig on focus and make a Focus Target macro for Blind in case you find yourself panicking when she begins her cast.

Save Sprint for Runes. Always get the smallest rune first! They started to spawn back to back and having it for at least one set of runes can be make-or-break, especially if you get knocked back at an inopportune time and don't have the speed to get back to the last rune in time.

Save Kidney Shot for the Jarl. Once when he is empowered to allow you time to get away and heal, use Evasion when he closes in after. Second KS should be saved for when he does his whirlwind ability as it negates his cast. His melee hits outside of empowerment shouldn't deal that much damage (even without Prydaz, but they can add up if you're not paying attention) and if you're using finishers enough your LP/Vial will be more than enough to heal up.

Save Shadowstep for the Runeseer, particularly if RNG isn't in your favor and pushing DPS to break shield is difficult due to Valkyr placement. Dodge Valks and SS back to finish off shield and interrupt.

Try to save Cloak of Shadows for any slip up that brings your health dangerously low. If by chance the Jarl's melee is overwhelming use Vanish and CS and try to get clear of fel pools to heal up before CS wears off.

I ended up killing the Jarl first and before I could finish off the Runeseer, combat ended as Sig reached 21% HP.

Notes:
Vanish does not reset the encounter.
Use Drums, save them and your second potion for when Sig is Blinded the second time and go ham on the other two. This will be your main window of opportunity to DPS push Jarl/Runeseer regardless of Drums/potions. Repeat each Blind (minus Drums/pot ofc).

Pay attention to the purple magic that Sig shoots before summoning the Valk. I kept forgetting about them until I started to keep that spell effect in my peripheral and pan the camera up as soon as I saw it to reposition myself.

Took me about 15 tries and varying talent/gear setups.

Enhancement Shaman

Killed this as an enhancement shaman, 905 ilvl.

Talents used: , Capacitor Totem.

Legendary: Roots of Shaladrassil + Eye of the Twisting Nether

Rainfall and pants were overkill because I took very little damage, if you have as high ilvl as I do, you can live with Rainfall and 2 dps legendary with no issues.

I used Heroism at start and had all 3 stacked for max possible dmg, after heroism expired, I hexed Sigryn and kept her hexed for most of the fight, she was only attacking me for small period of time because of Hex DR. Lightning Surge Totem was used on every whirlwind and enrage Jarl Velbrand used and caster was interrupted on CD. Most of the fight I stood in the middle circle for easy access to purple runes.
If you manage to keep Sigryn hexed during the entire fight, you'll take very little damage, just make sure she is hexed out of range of your aoe abilities. The fight is not a dps race, and with those tips, even players with low ilvl can beat this fight.

894 retribution paladin - simple guide for my undergeared brothers out there. (But really, you should come back when you're more geared unless you're a masochist.)

Quick, useful tips for any spec:
20% Sigryn HP = victory
They split damage. So go 3 target AOE damage talents.
Key tip: Interrupt Sigryn's empower midcast - before it goes off - (Blind, Repentance - see macro at bottom) - then you can continue to DPS all 3 at once. Her empower casts 3 times at the same time every attempt. Learn when it's coming - it's a 3 second cast, for paladins with non instant repentance that means you need to know when it's coming.
Key tip: Try to rotate them on the line of the circle in the center of the room, pulling away from the green pools when possible. This helps deal with pretty much all the mechanics.
Stun Jarl when he whirlwinds.
Learn how to make Runeseer follow you around more easily = backpedal while on top of him
Save immunities (Divine Shield, Cheat Death) for a panic moment (some combination of runeseer shield lack of dps, traps, val'kyr)
Learn the timing of the abilities - it's the same every time.
Planning for Runeseer's Shield - Overall fight is not a DPS race - but spikes of DPS needed for Runeseer's shield. Not being able to break the shield amidst other mechanics is what makes this hard for undergeared players. Spec for repeated burst on Runeseer's shield and remember that they split damage taken equally.
Save DPS CDs for Runeseer shields that you're not ready for (IE you had to run away to survive a Val'Kyr wall).

"Checkpoint": about halfway into the fight where there's a Runeseer shield, 2-3 sets of traps, then immediate Jarl whirlwind and immediate Sigryn's 3rd and last empower, followed by a wall of Val'kyr. If you make it past this stage, mechanics stop happening. No more Sigryn empower or traps, no more Jarl empower or whirlwind. Just an excess of Runeseer shield empower, one after another, while dodging Val'Kyr and puddles. After this 3rd Sigryn empower "checkpoint", I was saving all holy power/combo points up to be ready for the next shield, and would self heal to 100% then rotation without finishers while I waited for it.

Mechanics to study:
Walls of Val'Kyr (just text notification/purple dots emanate from Sigryn) (~5s to move to the gap or almost fatal shadow damage) - I survived a few times when at full health/shield.
Empowered Sigryn(yells/roar animation/starts to go large/green) (happens 3 times total) (interrupt w/ Blind, Repentance) - if this goes off, you can still quickly CC her but do NOT break it once she's empowered herself - the AOE is pulsing lethal damage that lasts longer than immunities.
Empowered Jarl (yells/goes red/enlarges)- hits like a truck, stun/slow/kite.
Empowered Runeseer (yells/green shield) - 5mil shield - break it then kick his cast.
Spinning axes - Jarl stands still and casts these. They hurt a little, but don't lose your mind trying to dodge them.
Whirlwind - (Jarl yells) and sucks you in (large physical damage if too close)
Runes - 3 purple runes spawn on the ground. Run on top of all 3 or death to high shadow damage explosion (3mil+?)
Green pools - edges are safe, they don't last forever - hard part here is when Runeseer gets surrounded by these and then has his shield up - try to always be pulling him away from them (move close then backpedal). Learn how these spawn - they're mostly annoying for breaking Runeseer shield and covering runes.
Sigryn has a small knockback - seemed random, only a problem when simultaneous with runes.
Golden orbs spawn every so often - heal you for 40%ish. They disappear if unused.

What killed me the most:
1. I initially died often to breaking Sigryn CC when she was empowered by accident - until I learned to INTERRUPT her empower with repentance, preventing it entirely.
2. Walls of Val'Kyr+some other mechanic (didn't see wall or was trying to do something else in time like break Runeseer shield/stomp runes)
3. Not being able to break shield with some other mechanic (usually Val'kyr wall)

Retribution Pally here. Completed on my 20th something attempt. Im 903 ilvl with Cape and Belt Leggos.

Like a lot of people detailing the fight before me the real key here is CC. There isn't an enrage or a dps requirement, if you wanted to you could take half an hour killing Sigryn and her friends and it wouldn't matter. I talented - Final Verdict, The Fires of Justice, Repentance, BOW, Justicar's Vengance and Crusade. JV is really helpful during the fight especially if you're like me and accidentally break the cc.

At the start of the fight I pulled her and CC'ed her against the wall and dragged the other two together and cleaved them until the guy enrages. I stun him and keep cleaving. I then slow him with hand of hindrance and run like hell kiting him around the inner circle. By the time you step on two runes he should finish berserking. Just bring them together again and keep cleaving. Under no circumstances did I attack Sigryn. By the time the Runeseer starts channelling the insta kill ability, Sigryn breaks free and I cc her again. By the time I interrupt him my CC is finished and I stun her before she uses the "Blood of her father or whatever". Once the stuns ended, I repentance her again and the diminishing return has reset. All the while, I've stayed zoomed out as far as possible so I can see the Valkyr wall and where to stand. Once the Runeseer starts casting his ability a few times in a row, you've made it past the difficult part.

A few tips to remember:
1. Always keep Sigryn CC'ed. Keep her as a focus lock and whenever its about to expire, just cc her again.
2. If you have runes on the ground and a Valkyr wall incoming at the same time, just remain calm and chill. The runes actually take a long time to explode, just hop in the empty space through the wall and continue your rune stomping.
3. Dont rely on the orbs to appear when you need them. If your health drops below 40% use Justicars Vengance to keep yourself topped.
4. Dont stress. Its a difficult fight to say the least but just keep at it. The more you do it, the more you understand the timing and positioning better.

So to make it easy this is how I did it twice and what I found to be the easiest strat.

My Talent Set Up:

Final Verdict
Fires of Justice
Repentance (with mouseover macro { /cast Repentance} also used on Hammer of Justice and Hand of Hindrance)
Blade of Wrath
Eye for an Eye
Cavalier (helps with runes during the first half and valkyr during the second half)
Crusade

My Strategy:

Right off the bat pull Sigryd into a corner with taunt and repentance her, then walk over and kick the caster and drag him to the jarl.
Pop burst and go ham until jarl becomes enraged and stun him immediately.
Follow the stun up with a few hits then run away before it wears off and put hand of hindrance on him.
At this point the first runes should be coming up and you should be near or in the middle and pop your horse to pop them (go from smallest to largest).
The first set of runes should only be a wave of 2.
A little bit after the runes the caster should be popping his shield/oneshot cast. Focus on breaking this but be careful for the first set of valkyr as they show up around now.
Be careful cleaving while the shield is up as it will INCREASE the amount of shield he has because his health goes lower but the shield doesn't.
Once his shield is down, wait until 3 seconds remain on his cast and kick.

*IMPORTANT*
Keep an eye on Sigryd as she should be re-repentanced before her first cc wears off.
You should be keeping sigryd ccd in 1.5m increments (this is 2 casts of repentance without her getting broken)
*once she hits the 1.5m mark of cc DO NOT REAPPLY, let the DR wear off then drag her into a corner and repeat the cycle.

Once the shield breaks keep doing the damage until jarl begins to bladestorm, you should be stunning him with hammer at this point and then continue to do damage.
At this point it's just a matter of repeating the above steps until around 35%.
At around 35% on the caster, you will exclusively be dealing with 3 things. Bladestorm, caster shield/interrupt, and wall.
Keep up with the cc rotation on Sigryd and focus on the mage 100% while dodging the valkyr and stunning jarl.
once jarl is dead it's pretty much GG.

A few more things to note.

When dealing with Sigryd while waiting for her dr to wear off don't be afraid to pop Shield of Vengeance or Eye for an Eye, that's why you have them.
There are strategies that don't include CC on Sigryd most of the fight, and while they do work, the fel pools can make or break an attempt and if you have limited time, CCing is far more reliable.
I did this without any utility legendaries both below 900 ilvl and above 910 (both attempts used Chain of Thrayn/Liadrin's Fury Unleashed)
Lastly do not worry about your AoE dps, or dps in general. Focus on mechanics. Stay aware of the walls and opening and stay calm. If you get frustrated step away and reapproach it later with a clear head.

Just finished this as an 901 Arcane mage.

Similar to Nitros, I took the following talents:

Amplification / Mana Shield / Incanter's Flow / Resonance / Chrono Shift / Erosion / Overpowered

I used Gravity Spiral + Mystic Kilt of the Rune Master. I also had 4-set and Whispers in the Dark + Fury of the Burning Sky. If you have one or both of Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus/Belo'vir's Final Stand, I would recommend taking Slipstream or Shimmer instead.

General tips:

- Use Chrono Shift when you want to catch runes.

- Rotate between Mark of Aluneth, Arcane Power, and even Presence of Mind when the Runemaster casts his shield more frequently.

- Evocate only when a) Sigryn is polymorphed, b) all melee mobs are snared, and c) in the few seconds between Valkyr charges/runes/bladestorms etc! Sigryn will charge you often, and if you have to run Mana Shield it means she can potentially break your Improved Evocation.

- Even after Sigryn stops using her main abilities, Polymorph her when you want to focus down the Runemaster.

- Use Greater Invisibility liberally! Sometimes abilities will combo nastily, and you need to soak a Valkyr wall / a few enraged melee hits to grab runes, for example.

- Save Time Warp for later phases when you're low on CDs and desperately need to break the Runemaster's shield.

- With Gravity Spiral, use Evocation often. With 4 set, use AMs on cooldown to accelerate your Evo recharges, you're going to need a lot more mana in the last phase of the fight.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Wowhead##DELIM##

Completed it earlier today as retribution paladin. Mass thanks to previous retri comments. They sum up everything you need to know about strategy and talents. Just to share my PoV. I was 892 equiped and used Prydaz and Armguards to be safe. You can definitely go with Prydaz and something else ofc. Dps doesn't really matter. I had 400k by the end of the fight. However the length of the fight is increased a lot. Took me 15min and 11 sec to finish. Don't get discouraged , it took me 40 tries to get it. Good luck everyone.

As a 908 Retribution Paladin I was able to do it a little more easily than some of the others I'm sure. However, that didn't mean I could just blindly dps everything down. I chose to go with a more mobile type gear build. I used Aggramar's Stride and Sephuz's Secret as my legendaries. It gave me a much needed speed boost to get runes much more easily without having to take Cavalier. I used Final Verdict, Fires of Justice, Repentance, Blade of Wrath, , , and Crusade. I never saw this as a flat dps race, except for the Ancestral Knowledge from the Caster Elite. I decided to start by taking Boss and Caster to one side and popped Crusade to damage as much as I could. When the Melee Elite enraged to focus me I used Hand of Hindrance and kited the other two away. When HoH fell off I would wait until the last second to use Hammer of Justice. This was for two reasons. 1. To make sure that the stun would last the last part of Melee Elites Enrage and 2. Runes would be coming out shortly after and with Sephuz's Secret equipped I could easily pick them up without having to use a Steed. At that point the boss would use here Enrage and I would simply Repent her. If you can try to do it before the Enrage cast goes off so in case repent falls off she isn't AoE blasting you to the next life.

The two elites should come together at some point during the repent and you simply cleave as much as you can. The Caster Elite's Enrage is next and that is a shield burn phase. Around the same time runes should be coming up again soon. If not the Melee Elite will cast his 2nd Enrage which is a Whirlwind attack. The repentance should be coming off around this time and the boss will try to recast her enrage. Repent again and heal as much as you can. Golden Orbs will appear at various times and it is best to use these as often as you can. A line of Valkyries will eventually come and you must find the opening or you must use a BoP or DS. You can actually survive a hit if you have a Shield of Vengeance up at lower gear levels. At higher gear levels you can take the hit and Lay on Hands yourself. I wouldn't recommend doing any of those unless you have to do so. I would just simply kite anything not CC'd to the opening. Sometimes they will follow you and sometimes they will not depending on what part of the encounter you are in at the time. Runes will come out again and if Sephuz isn't off cd you can steed to them. It is pretty much rinse and repeat up until the Caster Elite continually cast Ancestral Knowledge. If you have drums use them for one of these. A Crusade can sometimes stop two of them if you have enough traits in longer Crusades. 2nd pot another of the cast and if all else fails just bubble when you know its going to hit. Divine Intervention gives you a little bit of breathing room here so don't feel too pressured.

Also don't forget this isn't a dps race and you can heal with flash of light or word of glory if you need to. I tried to heal to full while my shield of vengeance was up. After a while the melee elite will die and the fight gets slightly easier. Just avoid the Valkyrie lines and get the Caster Shield down and you will eventually get to the point boss stops fighting and begs for forgiveness. I really enjoyed the encounter and I wish I could do things like this more often. They are really fun and they make you use all of your toolkit. I didn't try to make the post all pretty with the elites actual name or their abilities, but if you have done this for any amount of time you know what I am talking about already. Substitute whichever CC your class uses. I did it as a Ret paladin, obviously. These macros will allow you to target the Runeseer and never have to worry about target switching through the entire fight. It will take slightly longer, but there is no enrage timer and after about seven minutes the only one-shot mechanics that continue are the shield and the val'kyr.

Also, I advise dropping some DPS in favor of sustain. I sacrificed 10 ilvl to gain 8% Leech and it made a HUGE difference. Once I made that switch I started getting to the end phase with only the two mechanics reliably and I completed it immediately after deciding to use these macros.

Here's my overview/mini-guide, which is not focused on the basics, since there are already guides for the basics. This guide is focused on details which I observed during my attempts, which ultimately led to my success.Also, I was using str flask, rune and haste food on every try, as well as pre-pot. I know that I have a very fortunate gear selection (Skorpyron DPS and tank trinkets, Prydaz and Aggramar's), but maybe this information can help other people since they can adapt stuff to their own strategy.

Before anything else: You WILL die to bull*!@# a lot, those mechanics tend to eventually overlap in the worst way possible because the fight lasts so long. And that's not even counting the glitches that can happen, triggering one of those mechanics and 1 shotting you. Or Sigryn randomly knocking you back RIGHT when you were about to step on that tiny tiny rune. You're gonna need a lot of patience.

I swapped around gear and talents so that I could get the most defense/mobility while still being able to down the caster's shield, and the key to that was Divine Hammer, which deals way too much damage if you line the 3 of them up. I believe most guides will tell you to not pick it up, claiming that you have to watch out not to break CC on Sigryn. Instead of keeping Repentance on Sigryn, bring her around the room for most of the time, always hitting her to get holy power, then use Divine Storm on 2/3 targets if possible, specially with Judgment applied to them. The first time Sigryn uses Blood of the Father is always at the same point in time, and she doesn't really give any signs she's gonna use it, however, all of the following BotFs are cast after she stays in place for a while doing nothing, so whenever she does that, you can cast Repentance on her. Remember that you should only have her in Repentance when you think she's gonna cast BotF, then as soon as you hear her use it (it won't come off since she's CC'd, so you can break it as soon as she casts it, so you can keep DPSing). It's important to have good damage in this scenario because you end it earlier (reducing the chances you'll get an unlucky overlap of enemy skills, like Ancestral Knowledge with bad Dark Wings placement). The Throw Spear green fiery ground hurts quite a bit and can be intimidating, but if you keep Sigryn CC'd the fight will take way longer, and this way you also don't have to keep track of her diminishing returns on Repentance. The melee add's axes do little damage and are easy to avoid, but they're so low on your priority list of mechanics that you'll probably get hit a lot, not like it's a big problem since they don't interrupt casts and again, do little damage. Don't be afraid to throw Repentance on Sigryn and start spamming Flash of Light on yourself, it's a great way to get ~50% health back in a few seconds. ALWAYS keep your eyes on the notifications on the screen, SPECIALLY for the Val'kyr charge and the runes on the ground, which can be the worst things to happen since they usually deal over 3 million damage. Remember that you have 2 “get out of jail free” cards, Divine Shield (automatic and 4m cooldown on my build, but I'm not sure the fight lasted long enough for 2 Divine Shields, even talented), and Lay on Hands. Try to use LoH to get to full life, then top your full life with Shield of Vengeance if you realize you're gonna have to take in a rune or a val'kyr charge. You can use the melee add's Bladestorm to get away and then spam Flash of Light if you need hp, otherwise just keep dpsing Sigryn. Lastly, as soon as you notice that the melee add and Sigryn are both following you around meleeing, and you're not getting any runes on the ground, it usually means that the caster add is going to cast Ancestral Knowledge. Try to save up some holy power so you can start bursting all 3 together to break that shield ASAP, even better if you can do DS→arcane torrent→DS → Wake of Ashes→DS→Divine Hammer→DS, if there's still some seconds of cast time, then take advantage of that to cleave those 3 as much as you can before interrupting the cast, since they won't do anything, but be careful as Sigryn tends to knock you back RIGHT before the cast time is over.

Now some minor details: I always pre-potted on opening, went to the caster add, fidgeted around inside his character model until he'd start casting while moving and following me (it's really weird, you should be familiar with that if you want to clear this scenario, it's useful for a lot of things, specially lining him up with the other 2 targets, and getting him out of fel-fire on the ground), lined the 3 of them up near the wall (so the melee add is better positioned for when he gets buffed, and so the fel-fire gets popped at a convenient place for me, kinda out of the ring), popped wings and burst them until the melee add got the attack damage buff, then I'd stun him, keep bursting, then slow him and run away DPSing only Sigryn. After that I'd Repentance Sygrin (after Divine Hammer wears off), preferably before the first set of runes, but it also works if you do it right before the 2nd set of runes (preferably have her stand as close to the wall as possible, so you can use Divine Hammer while stepping on the runes no problem). Whenever I'd CC Sigryn for whatever reason, and Ancestral Knowledge would start, I'd immediately break her CC with Judgment or running to her if it's not available, so that they'd be all together, since cleaving the 3 of them together is really good. After that, the skills are going to become way less predictable, so it's kinda pointless to post any steps after this. When the melee add was near death, however, the caster would use Ancestral Knowledge like 3 times in a row, at that point I had been using Crusade on his previous casts, and it was on cooldown, so I popped Drums, and it was enough to comfortably destroy his shield 3 times, only issue were the val'kyrs lining up horribly. After that, I killed the melee add, and the caster kept casting Ancestral Knowledge, I kept cleaving them and dodging val'kyrs, and Sigryn stopped the fight (kinda awkward, the caster add was still alive and casting), that's when the fight ends (though depending on your damage distribution, you might have to kill the caster add too before downing Sigryn. If you kill both adds, focus completely on surviving and stopping Blood of the Father, since Sigryn alone does almost no damage outside of that. Remember that if you have enough gear you can survive 1 of the mechanics, but as soon as it damages you, prepare to get health back ASAP. The golden healing orbs last very little, so don't try to save them up, unless you're really at full life.

Did it as a 902 Retribution today, took me about 100 tries, most of it I wiped for the same thing, Dark Wings + Runic Detonation + Ancestral Knowledge or Dark Wings + Bladestorm + Ancestral Knowledge, always between 75% and 50% (for me the fight was really hard around 75% and 70%, and around 55% and 50%, thanks to the combinations I said above)... However, last two tries before the kill I did notice two things that was the key for me:

1. Hammer of Justice followed of Blessing of Protection when Jarl Velbrand was under Berserker's Rage effect at the start of the fight, that kept me hitting them both, maximizing dps since I didn't had to kite him, so that said, at the perfect timing, I could use the full Drums of Fury + Crusade in two targets (When I killed it, it was 3 targets, since BoP made me immune to Sigryn too, so I decided to release her from Repentance and hold her free while BoP was up), that allowed me to use the full Crusade + hero + pre-pot, hitting like a truck for almost 35 seconds. Also, BoP could be used later in fight, after the first Bladestorm, Hammer of Justice was still on cd when he did cast it again, so BoP made me almost ignore it at least once and kept me in melee range hitting them.

2. Idk where I read that, but Runeseer Faljar's Ancestral Knowledge falls off faster when you single target it, so, if you cleave it, it does not go well, it works, but not as good as single targeting it. It was the real key for me, I was able to drop that shield so fast that I had time to run for other mechanics and go back to interrupt (not everytime, but most of it).

Last but not least, I used Sephuz's Secret and Aggramar's Stride with Final Verdict, Fires of Justice, Repentance, Blade of Wrath, Justicar's Vengeance, Cavalier and Crusade. Remember, before the fight starts, refresh and , GBoK is a must, since it healed me for 10M at the end of the fight.

My trinkets was Convergence of Fates and Eye of Command with Karazhan chest, yeah, I lost the buff a few times, but it was not a problem, also, Claw of the Crystalline Scorpid worked for me, since before those last 3 tries, my best tries was using it, however, it procs always when it shouldnt proc, and that isnt good.

That said, after I noticed that, it just took me two tries and I was able to kill it, nice and "easy".

Legendaries available:wrists, kiljaedens, chain, sephuz, whisper, aggramar's stride
equipped aggramars and chain, would have used the boots and sephuz if i could but i had no back up belt,the movement speed is amazing for running from jarl's berserk, whirlwind, avoiding valkyr charge, and stomping runes quickly especially if abilities overlap. Prydaz and boots would be most ideal for consistent movement boost and survivability.

Talents:final verdict, fires of justice, repentance, blade of wrath, justicars vengeance, cavalier, and crusade

It is a very scripted fight, so practice will make perfect. Divine shield should only be used in sticky situations such as getting a bad valkyr charge when you are dpsing the runeseer's shield down. do not use on runes or you will be wasting it for a panic situation as runes should be one of the easier mechanics to deal with when you get enough practice. shield of vengeance can be useful when you have all 3 attacking you and you need to break a shield or rune to runes. blessing of protection will be useful 1/3 through the fight when you deal with jarl's 2nd berserk, or get stuck next to him during a whirlwind its duration will protect you completely.

Most of abilities have been posted, and when you practice you will know them all, so here's a general and pretty accurate script to the fight (keep sigryn on focus):
1. you will start the fight with all 3, you do not need to group them up immediately, after a bit sigryn will throw a spear and create a puddle, move out and keep dpsing.
2. the jarl will berserk a few moments later, slowing himself and chasing you, kiting him and around the edges while sigryn follows you while you dps her.
3. she will throw another spear and do a set of runes, you should be able to get to the runes without getting hit by jarl since he should be close to the edges. after runes are stomped out go back to the edge of ring with jarl and sigryn.
4. sigryn will then throw another spear, do a set of runes, and do her blood of the father mechanic. move out of spear, cast repentance on sigryn, and then use cavalier to stomp out runes. (/target sigryn /cast repentance)
5. a heal orb will appear, pick it up if you need and dps runeseer until jarl come to you for cleave damage.
6. after a few moments sigryn will cast the shield on runeseer while she is still repentanced, burst down the shield, do not cleave because it makes it harder to kill the shield, interrupt once it is off. (if you interrupt before shield is gone, your ability will go on cooldown and you will die unless you have torrent, or use divine shield)
7. after the shield is broken, moments later jarl will whirlwind, you can stun or run away. (save BoP) continue to dps.
8. youll get 2 sets of runes, stomp out accordingly, runeseer will get another shield i believe somewhere between runes, break it and interrupt
9. very soon after sigryn will break free from repentance and cast blood of the father, cast repentance again (duration will be 30 secs this time not 60s)
10. keep dpsing runeseer and jarl and after a while he will enrage, and you will get some runes after. slow him, stomp runes, you can take a hit or 2 from him while getting the runes, save the stun and BoP, this is a time you can use shield of vengeance if youre unsure/scared
11. after the runes are stomped, sigryn will be off repentance and you can dps all 3 again, runeseer will get a shield, break and interrupt again.
12. the sticky situation is you will get a set of runes, a whirlwind, and blood of the father very close together. what can help is you can BoP yourself as whirlwind casts, repentance sigryn, and then sturn jarl, and stay on runeseer til jarl comes to you again.
13. there will be a 3rd whirlwind somewhere near this point, so just cavalier away, or use BoP/stun if you saved it
14. when you reach this check point, around 60%-50% youre basically almost done, they will still have a lot of health but there will be no more runes, jarl whirlwind, jarl berserks, or blood of the father, you WILL have to deal with runeseer's shield, sigryns spear/puddle, and valkyr charge so please make note and beware.
15. you will rinse and repeat dealing with the 3 remaining abilities, kite them around the edge of the inner circle, and make sure runeseer is never in a puddle or it will kill you when you are trying to break him out of a shield. being near the center make dealing with the shield and valkyr charge much easier. if you reach a point where you might not break the shield, and a valkyr charge is up, dont be afraid to use divine shield it will ignore both mechanics. shield of vengeance will only help for the charge, not the the shield being casted off. (its a 1 shot mechanic) when sigryn hits 21% they all stop and you win.

Notes:
-you can choose to constant cc sigryn with repentance near edge of the room if you dont want to deal with puddles, i did this and it made dealing with the shield and valkyr charge so much easier, but it made the fight longer.
-i found myself finishing off jarl when he hit 5% and he deactivated and then i had runeseer at 10% and sigryn at 21% when i completed it.
-stun jarl and use justicars vengeance and with or without crusade to heal every now and then, you can stun sigryn too if shes active for the short period of time she isnt repentanced in the post 50% phase.
-i did not add valkyr charges in the script because they were a little different every time, sometimes they overlapped other abilities, sometimes not at all. a bit of RNG

hope the guide helps, the scripted part was mostly accurate, and sorry if there was some parts i messed up on. took me about 50 tries. got close like 10 times and made small mistakes. you will have good pulls and bad ones. just keep trying and youll get it eventually.

Did it as a ilv 894 ret paladin, with Sephuz and Prydaz as my legendaries, and Skorpyron/Elisande trinkets (Convergence of Fates Claw of the Crystalline Scorpid). One thing i would like to add, is that, if you have many legendaries (by many i mean 3+), you should try changing them to see which one fits more to both your playstile and the encounter.

i.e: As ret paladins we have 2 defensive Legendaries, Aegisjalmur, the Armguards of Awe and Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus. To boost movement speed we have Sephuz's Secret and Aggramar's Stride, the rest are for dps. If you feel like you cant keep up with the constant barrage of valkyries, you could chose Aggramar or Sephuz (not recomendable tho, as making use of the 70% boost it will put your interrupt in cd and you will need it for either the caster or the jarl). Aegisjalmur is good if you chose Chavalier instead of Divine intervention, as it will save you from dying from a mistake if your bubble was on cd. Prydaz is an overall good choice, as it adds lots of survivality that you will need on this encounter (they tend to hit quite hard once the jarl joins Sygrin).

All in all, the fight requires you to get acquainted with both the fight, your spec (as in talents and abilites), and the legendaries you can use. In my case, i hardly had the dps to burst the runeseer shield (Ancestral Knowledge) once i was nearing the end of the fight, so in my case, it would have been better to have another legendary instead of Sephuz so i could increase my dps.

PD:Dont forget to bring flasks and food to the challenge, maybe they wont be neccesary once the Tomb opens and you can get better gear, but as of now the boost it provides can help you win the fight

PD 2: Forgot to mention, as the fight nears its end (when the jarl is around 20%), the runeseer will keep casting Ancestral Knowledge, with Sygrin calling the valkyrias, at that point you dont have to worry about neither the Runic Detonation spell nor Bladestorm, just avoid letting sygrin cast her Throw Spear near the runeseer or you wont be able to dps him down before he finishes his cast, as standing in the fel fire deals quite a lot of damage.

Assassination Rogue - ilvl 897

44 or 45 tries, 4 Hours

Only items different from armoury I swapped to Prydaz instead of the belt. The neck can give you a save especially if dealing with Runeseers Bubble when the Valkyres are up and slice through. Also went with Foci.

As others have stated focus on mechanics rather than DPS. At times I was single/double targeting and leaving Runeseer to stand in the green fire as he is reluctant to move, but he will now and then so you can move him out of patches.

Also I first went in with Arcanogolem Digit thinking I could add some cleave to the fight but took about 5 tries to realise this also breaks Sigryn out of her blind.

Biggest bit of advice SET FOCUS on Sigryn before each pull. Several times after frustrating tries I pulled the next try only to find Blind not hitting and focus wasn't set, you can CoS her and quickly set focus and get the Blind off but it will knock you out your stride.

Retribution Paladin, 897 ilvl (no neck lego, no speed boots, no speed cloak, no Convergence trinket, 38 clicks in wep)

Ill try to reiterate some of the information already posted here and add something new. There are 2 things needed to complete the scenario:
1. do mechanics
2. do enough dmg on the shield (even when you need to deal with other stuff like puddles/valks etc)
If you can do both you can do this. My fight lasted over 20 min, I did just below 400k dps and outhealed over 30 mil of dmg.

I started analyzing my wipes and discovered that 90% of them were happening between 2 min and 4 min mark. The entire fight is scripted, there are timers for each ability that do not change.
Only RNG is valk free space and the amount of puddles. The KEY part is CCing the big guy at crucial moments where you need to deal with few mechanics at the same time so you dont have to worry about him as well. Watch videos, learn what are strengths of your spec on this encounter and make a plan at which moment of the fight you need to use them. You need to CC main guy x3 times to avoid wipe from his enrage, you need to have mobility for runes and valks (can be avoided if you stay close to the middle).

You cant yolo fight between 2 min and 4 min mark. When you master those 2 crucial minutes its all about not dying to melee attacks and avoiding valks/nuking shield.

Yes gear helps, especially utility legendaries but they are not needed for the success.

Enhancement 895 ilvl point of view.
Highly recommended legendaries: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus and Roots of Shaladrassil . Use and you can also bind it to macro:

This will place your healing rain just under your cursor with single button click. Keep yourself up with rain and instant heals, don't pool your mana, better stay alive. Back-up golden healing Orb of Valor will spawn in the inner circle, use them to heal up.

Guideline
1. Pull - Jarl enrage Berserker's Rage. Pre-cast rainfall at cleave position, pre-pot, bloodlust, spirit wolves, go all in during this phase. I used left side to cleave Sigryn and Jarl. So the first fel puddles spawn under Jarl. Face your back to Runeseer and when Sigryn uses Advance and knocks you back, you are at Runeseer, and Jarl is about to enrage now. When he is enraged use your earthgrab totem or Capacitor Totem to stop him at first then place earthbind totem to slow him once again. Slowly backpedal near center.

2. First set of Runes - Hard CC Sigryn. With both totems Jarl will be chasing you slowed, activate your wolf form and run over runes. Another knockback follows, afterwards you should be somewhere on the outter circle and use Hex on Sigryn then. Quick tip: put Sigryn on focus and use something like this for hard CC macro:

3. Second Rune set - Val'kyr charge. Sigryn is CC'ed, run over 2nd rune set and switch to Runeseer, try avoiding those annoying axes if Jarl is not in melee range. This is your dps window, heal up to recover yourself. Axes and shadowbolts can sum up and get you quite low on HP, grab orbs if you have to. Make sure rainfall is up this window. Jarl will stop throwing axes and turn to melee, cleave them hard. Runeseer will start his Ancestral Knowledge absorb shield, nuke it down asap, then interrupt him with:

/target Runeseer
/cast Wind Shear
After interrupt +/- timing Sigryn will be out of CC, she is in a standby state and don't move or attack then, but... She is active and casts Dark Wings to form a wall of charging Val'kyrs, find open window to dodge this. If you are not full health it is probably a oneshot. Jarl is about to enrage and Bladestorm, move out of it and get ready for Blood of the Father she is about to transform and pulse fire to your death. When she is casting, this is your second time for hard CC. If you get her cc'ed it's your time to dps her friends again.

4. Repeat untill 50% boss HP. From this point mechanics seems to repeat, and follow sequence depending if Sigryn is in CC or not. Watch your focus target for CC timer and get ready for Val'kyr changes will follow asap Sigryn is out of CC. There will be another 2 sets of runes and another Jarl enrage so don't forget your slow totems and stuns, and another bladestorm. When you live through that phase. Runes will not spawn, Jarl will calm down and will not enrage, although Val'kyrs will continue charging and Runeseer will continue to activate his shield, one after another, don't loose focus on interrupts.

5. Jarl death - Homecoming. While you keep Sigryn CC'ed during encounter don't mess up with diminishing returns, you will have to allow her to hit you for short periods between charges. Reapply CC avoiding her become immune to cc. When Jarl is dead it's a home coming, but don't loose focus, reach Sigryn 20% and enjoy your weapon skin.

Quick tips for all classes:
-Make macros for interrupt, slows & stuns.
-Plan and use your healing spells throughout the encounter
-Watch screen message for Val'kyr charge wall
-Use calm down windows between enrages to maximize dps
-Prepare your panic buttons and emergency recovery buttons
-Learn from wipes and don't panic during the last % of encounter

What i have to say is dont lose hope because 34 of these attemps didnt last 5min. if you manage to pass the first 5min of mecanic
you ill be in a ''rince and repeat'' phase that is wayyyyy easy than the first 10%....

But dont get me wrong, this s*** is like Dark Soul on steroid

I used deadly poison and leech, legendary bracer and pants, nighthold set.

Did as 903 arcane. I did take a little more unconventional and personal route, so I will share it here for people looking for an alternative approach.

My problem was the soft enrage by runeseer. With all the melee damage going around by sigryn and the bladestorm guy it was really hard for me to break chain shields. My mana simply ouldnt keep up with the shields. So what i did was,

- Amplification, mana shield, RUNE OF POWER, resonance, chrono shift, erosion, overpowered

- Start with tw, pre-pot,barrier; stand between three of them, 4xAE, MoA,RoP,Ap and burn all your mana. They may get you to 30% hp but dont worry about little damage until sigryn gets 60%, you can heal through orbs.

-When berserker rage and runes are active at the same time for the first time use frost nova, by the time second runes are up rage would be over so simply kite with chrono shift.

-Use RoP only to break the shield at anytime of the fight.

-Try to align AP with RoP and use it only to break the shield. If you think you can make it, using AE with this combo will work wonders, trust me.

-Use frost nova to get some breathing space when runeseer is up.

-After 60% it gets tricky. Use frost nova and poly(on sigryn) in alternating times. At first use frost nova to keep them away while breaking the chains, at second shield then use poly to not to deal with valkyrs while trying to break the shield. Frost nova would be up by the time he casts shield again. So rinse and repeat.

-Don't give up the fight at all you could complete it even if you enter 60% phase with 13% hp.

-If you are sure to be caught by valkyrs use invisibility immediately. If you are sure you cant break the shield, use ice barrier immediately. Just try to live thorugh anything and you might actually complete it.

-Dont go below 65% mana after 60% phase. You might not be able to break shields.

-When kiting, kite them slowly near the edges. If they are in the middle while something is happening, you might be in big trouble.

I dub this the Arcane Explosion challenge mode. Using this method arcane explosion will make up a majority of your damage and will reduce the amount of time you have to stay stationary during the fight. If you have the Time and Space trait which I did not have, you can expect to finish this fight a little faster and have an easier time on the Runeseer's shield.

The Runeseer and Jarl macros are used to change targets during the fight, and the focus macros are for Sigryn. Targeting will be mostly handled by these macros. I recommend to replace your buttons with this macros.

Character and items:

My mage was 908 equipped using Gravity Spiral and Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus.The Trinkets used were Erratic Metronome and Whispers in the Dark, these play a very minor role mostly could be replaced with other trinkets.

Talents: Amplification, Slipstream, Incanter's Flow, Resonance, Chrono Shift Erosion, Overpowered

Strategy:

You want to enter the scenario and focus target Sigryn as your will only deal with her with the focus macros.
Eat up whatever food your prefer, I used The Hungry Magister.
You want to stand on the Jarl's side of the arena for the start of the encounter.
Prepot and turn cast Prismatic Barrier.

Opener:
You open the fight by using the Focus target Arcane Blast macro (or just Arcane blast Sigryn), Lust, and Focus target Arcane Blast macro again. You do this to draw her away from the Runeseer because if she is too close she will get hit by your Mark of Aluneth.
Then use the Focus target Polymorph macro to sheep her, this will be the only time you polymorph her outside of her, Blood of Her Father ability.
You start on the Jarl side of the encounter to help lure her away from the Runeseer.

Tap your Runeseer target Arcane Blast macro while moving and blink closer to the Runeseer.
Cast Mark of Aluneth and then get two more Arcane Charges and use Arcane Power. Go into the standard arcane burn rotation and your goal is to be OOM before the Jarl is done throwing axes and is running at you.
You want to move when casting Arcane Missiles and while using Presence of Mind to dodge axes.
During the start of the fight don't worry about eating too many axes from the Jarl because you want to stand still to get the most out of bloodlust and to burn all your mana. This will change later in the fight.
Cast Jarl target Slow Macro after the Jarl activates Berserker's Rage, you want to repeat this every time he uses this ability. You can take a 1 or 2 hits with Prismatic barrier but staying in melee will knock you out. You want to burn all your Arcane Missiles into the Jarl while running away and then use Evocation while also running away.

The rest of the fight:

Until runes stop spawning, you never want to go into the center of the ring unless you are running to a rune or a health orb.
From this point on you want to almost always have the Jarl slowed and to have Chrono Shift active. No matter how many Arcane Charges you have keep Chrono Shift up.
Kite the Jarl into Sigryn and then into the Runeseer while Spamming Arcane Explosion and maintaining the steps above.
If you have Prydaz, don't be afraid to take some melee hits here to get Runes as Health Orbs will spawn while Runes can also spawn.
If you miss a rune, it will most likely kill you.

At one point while runes are spawning, Sigryn will cast Blood of Her Father and you need to use Focus target Polymorph to stop her. The first cast will before the first Runeseer's shield and it will end on her during the Runeseer's shield. You want to grab 2 of the 3 runes that spawn and then Polymorth her.
The Jarl near the start of the fight will stop chasing you and start throwing axes again. Later he will use Bladestorm which will pull you toward him instead. Now you want to just avoid all axes by using Arcane Explosion, you can also position yourself so you only hit the Jarl and Runeseer while avoiding breaking your sheep.
Outside of having Blood of Her Father active, Sigryn does almost no damage to you and can be kept at a distance from Arcane Explosion reapplying slow. She is not as fast as the Jarl.

After 2-3 rune spawns, the Runeseer will start casting Ancestral Knowledge and gain a shield. If he finishes the cast, you die.
You want to kite the Jarl near the Runeseer while spamming Arcane explosion to get full Arcane Charges. Now you will have to make a judgement call here, Chrono Shift and Slow on the Jarl take priority and if you have enough time to rebuild your charges quickly with Arcane Explosion.
Also during the middle of the Ancestral Knowledge, Sigryn will come out of polymorth and start eating some Arcane Explosions.
Once you have full Arcane Charges you want to Frost Nova Sigryn and the Jarl a little bit off from the runeseer. You can nova them all together and then cast Mark of Aluneth if it's up on the Runeseer to hit all 3 but that will take practice but it is possible. The Runeseer's shield should already be at least half way down from the Arcane Explosions and you should have some Arcane Missile procs to also help out. You save to use Presence of Mind and Arcane Power for the shield. As the fight goes on, these abilities will stop lining up with the Runeseer's shield.
Using Arcane Power to just spam Arcane Explosions also works to knock out the shield, pick up dmg with some cleave, and stay mobile.
The shield is basically the only time you need to target the Runeseer until you kill the Jarl.

During the first Runeseer's shield or after depending on how fast you interrupt, Sigryn will start casting Dark Wings which summons a wall of dark val'kyr with a gap. You want to run to the gap and either kite towards the hole or away from it running with or against the direction of the charge, you do this so you never stop moving. The exception being if you have to cast Arcane Blast on the Runeseer's shield.
This will be another judgement call during the fight if the Runeseer has casted his shield, if you can Arcane Explosion the Jarl and Sigryn to get Arcane Charges to use Arcane Barrage or get Arcane Missile procs.

You want to prioritize casting Arcane Missiles on the move at the Jarl, the best time to do this is right after you reapply slow on the Jarl. Casting slow will snare him more that just reapplying it with a damaging ability it seemed. After you spend all Arcane Missile charges you want to Arcane Barrage the Jarl and Sigryn. Chrono Shift will take slightly less time to activate being that the Jarl may be closer to you than the Runeseer.

The Runeseer's shield and Sigryn's Val'kyr Wall will speed up the rate they are used during the fight until they completely replace Runes and Health orbs spawning in the center. If you get to this phase you can rest assured that you are getting to the end of the fight.

When Runes in the center stop spawning, you can get quite aggressive keeping all 3 near each other to Arcane Explosion them down.
When the Jarl is near death, the Runeseer's shield and Sigryn's Val'kyr Wall will be cast at a very fast pace.
After the Jarl dies, you can get really aggressive at keeping Sigryn on the Runeseer to eat cleave from Arcane Explosion.

I just completed this, and figured I'd share my methods, in case it might help others.

Spec:

Now, in the middle of the room there's a slightly elevated circle. Place a gateway from one end to other. Use this gateway to reach runes if needed, but only if you really need it.

Now, you'll also want to make a macro like this:

Use this when she says something along the lines of "The power of my father runs through me".

Second thing to note, the caster gains a shield which must be burned through to interrupt his cast. When you start the fight, keep your Doomguard on passive and manually command it to attack the caster-dude. This will give maximum uptime on dps on him to easier get through his shields. Interrupt when the shield is gone.

Jarl will be the first of her buddies to activate, so I recommend starting with him as a target, maintain doom on the others and use Darkglare on cooldown.
Doomguard Cripple when he buffs himself with the fixate thing.
Shadowfury when he casts Bladestorm.

2-3 runes will spawn at semi-random locations. Always try to step on the smaller ones first, as they are closest to exploding.

Val'kyr walls: Look for the gap and stand in it.

The tricky part of the challenge begins when several of the different mechanics overlap. You may end up getting Jarl's Bladestorm at the same time as a val'kyr wall spawns, while Runes just appeared.
Practice makes perfect.

The final and most important advice I can give you: This is NOT a dps-race. If you have to stop dps'ing to properly do mechanics, do it. If you have to Drain Life to stay alive, do it!
The only (and I really do mean ONLY) thing you need to nuke is the caster's shield. Everything else you can just stand there and melee it to death if you'd like.

Walkthrough:

Taunted Sigryn, pulling her to the left edge of the inner circle.
Used Repentance on Sigryn right before she reached me.
Kited Runeseer Faljar over to Jarl Velbrand, and started cleaving.
Stunned Jarl Velbrand when he triggered Berserker's Rage and continued to cleave a few more seconds.
Kited Runeseer Faljar away and cast Hand of Hindrance on Jarl Velbrand.
As Jarl Velbrand caught up to me again, Runeseer Faljar summoned runes on the floor. I used Divine Steed and rode over the runes.
At this time Berserker's Rage faded away, so I continued cleaving the two for a few more seconds.
Repentance was running out, so I recast it and continued cleaving.
More runes to stomp, then continued cleaving.
As Repentance was running out again, I started moving more, kiting Runeseer Faljar to prevent Throw Spear from landing right beneath him.
Once Runeseer Faljar triggered Ancestral Knowledge, I focused my attacks on him and interrupted him once the shield was down.
Dark Wings would trigger around this time, so I moved to dodge the Val'kyr wall.
Once the diminishing returns on Repentance ran out, I recast it.
At this time Jarl Velbrand would trigger Bladestorm, so I would keep away from him.
More rune stomping and Val'kyr dodging, and bursting another shield. Also recast Repentance a final time.
Eventually more runes would appear, while Jarl Velbrand would simultaneously trigger Berserker's Rage one last time, closely followed by another set of runes and a Val'kyr wall. This was the hardest part, and may be considered a checkpoint.
Once Sigryn was free again, I would just kite and cleave all three from then on, as she had stopped triggering Blood of the Father at this point.
Towards the end, Sigryn would only empower Runeseer Faljar, so the only remaining abilities to look out for were:
- Dark Wings
- Ancestral Knowledge
- Throw Spear
- Jarl Velbrand was first to go, and I was on the home stretch. Just had to rinse and repeat while keeping calm.
- With only half a minute left on my Flask of the Countless Armies, Sigryn and Runeseer Faljar finally conceded. Mission complete!

Tips:

Stay close to the inner circle. This will shorten the distance you have to run when rune stomping or Val'kyr dodging, reducing the need for speed boosts.

Use on CD and cleave as much as possible.

Keep your camera zoomed out quite a bit, so you can see most of the battlefield at all times.

Dark Wings WILL trick your eyes, until you learn to correlate the Val'kyr wall opening with the rings on the floor. Try to keep your camera as high as possible when they come, as that will make it easier to see their path.

If Sigryn is roaming free while Ancestral Knowledge is up, keep moving as far away from Runeseer Faljar as you can while still hitting him, to prevent Throw Spear from landing right beneath him.

If Sigryn triggers Blood of the Father while not being CC'd, quickly use Repentance on her. Note that Blood of the Father lasts 30 seconds, so if your Repentance drops off sooner then it's gonna hurt.

Repentance will only last 30 seconds on the second cast due to diminishing returns, and 15 seconds on the third. After this she'll be immune till the diminishing returns drop off, which is 18 seconds after the last one ended.

Don't worry if she triggers Blood of the Father while already CC'd though, as nothing will happen.

If you need to run through Jarl Velbrand while he's doing Berserker's Rage or Bladestorm, you can either
Take it like a man (and likely die)

Use Shield of Vengeance and Divine Steed

Stun him

Use Blessing of Protection or Divine Shield (although the latter should be a last resort)

The Throw Spear AoE is smaller than it seems.
Runes sometimes bug out, exploding instantly.

Mortal Coil/Doomguard/Darkglare Build - 3221111

Kazzak Belt and Sephuz for Legendary Items

Tips -

- Tip from Warlock below about the Mortal Coil is a God-send. It's a quick fear that stops her channel and also is a nice heal (it also procs Sephuz). That switch alone put me over the top. I didn't feel that Demonic Circle gave me an edge because I didn't find myself in too many sticky situations where I needed a lot of quick movement. Gates do just fine. A target/cast macro with targetlasttarget really helped.
- I used Grim:Sup Doomguard for the interrupt. I always had it up on cool down, even when it gets tight towards the end. I had to wait till the cast had a couple seconds left, just don't panic. Watch the interrupt CD timer compared to the cast bar.
- Imp Dreadstalkers over Impending Doom (Even with Kazzak Belt) made it easier to keep Doom up for Darkglare and sustained damage on all targets.
- Drain Life gives you plenty of healing along with gold orbs to survive. I generally only used gold orbs when I needed to Life tap, but with those two I never really was close to dying. Drain life gives a ton of health back.

Other than those specific tips I followed the general strategy - Keep all adds doomed, slow Axe Thrower with Doomguard's cripple when he enraged, Darkglare on CD (Save it to help break shield if it's coming up), and Mortal Coil feared Sigryn when she went to channel. Move into gap of the wall of Valkyre and continue DPSing. I made sure to prepot and use second pot towards the end. Also used Drums towards the end when the shield came faster instead of at the beginning when it's more about survival. Demonwrath to move if I had mana and could life tap, but keep in mind if your Imps are in the middle of the room, casting Demonwrath could hide runes with the particle effect (It killed me one attempt). Just fill in Drain Life when you get pretty low and Unending Resolve if you miss an interrupt/rune or don't think you'll hit the gap in the wall of Valks.

Good luck! It's not a DPS race till the end when the fight's mechanics are simplified. Focus on surviving and putting pressure when the situation is right.

Okay, so, if anyone can help; I've tested this a few times now and everytime I hex Sigryn after aggro'ing her (I do make sure to pull her to at least the middle of the ring), she breaks it by herself within seconds. And by tested this I mean I stood there and did no damage to any of them and yet she still breaks it. It's confusing considering everyone who has done it has done so using a hex or poly to keep her out of the fight. Help?

EDIT: Welp, I failed to remember I was wearing a Swarming Plaguehive trinket and that seems to have been the problem.

Did this as a 905 Retribution Paladin when the mage tower was up for the first time. One thing to remember: mistake=almost always wipe. So try it a few times, and I'm sure you'll do mistakes and wipe, rest a bit, try again the next day or so. Because one thing this fight requires for sure is focus.

Talent and item choices really depend on your strategy. If you want to cleave them and try to end the fight as soon as possible, then you should go for the dps legendaries+aoe talents+aoe trinkets. I did not choose this strategy, since there is no minimum dps requirement because the fight is mainly about surviving.

The second strategy is focusing on surviving. I recommend using Aegisjalmur, the Armguards of Awe and Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus, but any other legendary will do. The talents I used were Final Verdict, Fires of Justice, Repentance (a must), Blade of Wrath, Justicar's Vengeance (another must, you'll need the self-heal), Cavalier (another must for Dark Wings and Runic Detonation), and finally Crusade

From the start of the fight, until the end, the only thing you have to do is NOT PANIC. If you panic and start running around, using all your cds etc. you will eventually die. You need to use your resources efficiently and try to comply with the mechanics. You can save your cooldowns because you will not need them every time you're in trouble. The biggest trouble is Sigryn's Blood of the Father, which is a definite wipe if you fail to stun or cc Sigryn before she finishes casting. I did not use Hammer of Justice on Sigryn, you will have enough time to use Repentance if you react quickly when you hear that she is casting. I used Hammer of Justice and Hand of Hindrance on Jarl, and preferred to use Crusade when Faljar started casting Ancestral Knowledge.

Before you start, make sure that you are using a flask and food, got drums and potions with you. These are not musts but still, any buff you get from consumables will contribute. Buff yourself with and , and be ready for a 11-14 minute fight!

Also, make sure that you have Sigryn on focus and got macros ready.

At the start, I pulled Sigryn to the side, away from the other two and used Repentance on her. Then I started dpsing Faljar and slowly getting him away from Jarl with back-pedalling. When Jarl enrages, you should be able to slow him with Hand of Hindrance and eventually stun him with Hammer of Justice when he is about to hit you. The stun duration at this point should be enough for his buff to disappear, but dont risk anything and continue to back-pedal while you slow/stun him.

You will need to use Repentance on Sigryn every time she is off it, and you'll need to track the time left on Repentance. While you are dpsing the other two, you will need to deal with Dark Wings, Ancestral Knowledge and Runic Detonation. Note that all of these skills are not fatal, so you wont instantly die if you have full health and miss one of them. There is also Bladestorm but you will be fine if you are away from him, or stun him.

The Key Points:
1) Keep Sigryn away from the other two and use Repentance on her.
2) Primary dps target is Faljar, cleave Jarl when you can.
3) Faljar will start casting Ancestral Knowledge more and more as you progress through the fight, DO NOT PANIC, you will have enough time and damage to break it as long as you do single target damage even if you don't have Crusade
4) Use Shield of Vengeance as much as you can but be careful to not break Sigryn's cc with the consumption damage.
5) IF YOU BREAK SIGRY'NS CC, stay calm and pull her away from others, and cc her. If she starts casting Blood of the Father while you are pulling, immidiately stop all damage and cc her, and use only single target skills to slowly take Faljar away. (yes, not even Judgment)
6) You will see Orb of Valor on the ground, use them if you need, but don't even think about changing your perfectly organized position for, say, 200k healing. You will have enough passive healing and self-healing (from Justicar's Vengeance) that you will not need those orbs.
7) Save your Divine Steed for mostly Runic Detonation and sometimes Dark Wings. If you happen to have a "WTF" moment and need to use Divine Steed, don't worry, you have enough time to walk on runes and step away from valkyr anyway.

As I said, it took me 15 tries to get this, but the first 10 were getting to know the fight, the skills, the sounds and everything. After some time, you will be able to react quickly when you hear the sound of a spell, and since the fight timers are not random, you will learn the spell combination patterns.

How are we supposed to kill 3 npcs with 200-300 million hp if we can't even cc? They kill my rogue in 1 minute. They could have removed the adds and cut her hp in half. It would still be a challenge since you take about 20% of your hp from her attacks. Healing classes and classes with low cd shields are favoured here. My rogue would last 2 minutes with cds and pots.

Beat this as a ilevel 893 enhancement shaman. Used uncertain reminder and Spiritual journy for my legendary gear slots, Blood lust or hero at the beginning and near the end to do massive cleave damage. This fight took around 15 minutes to complete with rotating and kitting each boss.

Tips:
Runeseer:
When kiting him, he seems to only like it when you're standing directly on top of him.

Sigryn:
Whenever possible if she's awake, keep her on the outer end of the ring so her fel puddles don't pollute the runes.

Winning:
The Jarl will die before you finish. The Runeseer will be at roughly 5% health when it ends.

Healing:
Do not underestimate your Flash of Light! Use that sucker whenever you're not dealing with mechanics! Otherwise, use Word of Glory as an emergency heal. Waiting for Val'kyr to charge is a great time to heal. Grab orbs whenever possible but don't put yourself in harm's way. It's better to just FoL than run through a fel puddle to grab an orb.

So first starting off, I stood directly on Runeseer, this way once I started the fight I could easily kite him and Sigryn to the Jarl.

Once I built up maxed holy power, I popped shield of vengeance and I blew Crusade, Drums, Potion and divine storm'd like crazy. I like to use SoV when I'm cleaving all 3 so I don't have to worry on health.

Soon as Sigryn throws her fel spear, I moved my back up against the door to counter her knockback.

I moved back a little bit so I could see and continue'd to Divine Storm.

After the Jarl became empowered I waited a few seconds and once he reached me blew Blessing of Protection, this allowed me to continue cleaving while Crusade/Drums were still active for a bit longer.

Once BoP was about to die I started to move my back towards the main area and hit my macro to stun the Jarl. By the time stun wears off he should have cooled off.

Sigryn should knock you back and the runes should start to show. Head to the smallest first and make your way around.

Keep Sigryn away from the Runeseer while you wait for 2nd runes to pop.

Once they show, repeat the last strategy. Around the time you should be making it to the 2nd rune, Sigryn will empower herself. Use your macro to put her to sleep. Finish stomping runes.

I started smashing on Runeseer at this point, healing when necessary. Do what you can to avoid Jarl's axes.

Jarl will join Runeseer in melee, Runeseer will become empowered, DPS down his shield with DS if you can. Use Templar's Verdict if your DPS is lacking. Wait as long as possible to interrupt before having to deal with charging Val'kyr.

Keep smashing these 2 with DS if you can until Jarl become's empowered with Whirlwind, use your macro to stun him and get ready as Sigryn will attempt to become empowered in a few seconds. Use your macro to shut her up and keep hitting these guys.

Two instances of runes will pop, take them out.

Sigryn wakes up at this point, now's a good time to build up holy power, pop SoV/Crusade and DS cleave all 3. Keep eyes out for Val'kyr while bursting.

Wait a little before before Repentancing Sigryn again.

Runes will pop and Jarl will become empowered. Hopefully he's far away and can be Hand of Hindranced, otherwise, use your horsie to pass by any runes near hum quickly. Stay away and use FoL to keep up.

More Runes, take them out.

Jarl will use Whirlwind again and Sigryn will call out. She's asleep though, so no worries. Keep away from Jarl and heal.

Once WW dies, keep DSing the two.

Jarl will WW again, just keep away (Or stun if you can)

Sigryn will wake and empower all (Really just Runeseer though). Time to whip out Crusade again and continue DS Cleaving them.

This is where I hit phase 2 (60% health)

Only the Runeseer becomes empowered here and he'll spam it. Other than that you still have to watch for Sigryn's fel puddles and the charging Val'kyr.

You can take your time here and focus on keeping yourself alive.

As a general rule, repentance Sigryn whenever you can keep her away from the Runeseer while you're not worrying about his bubble. Whenever she breaks free, let her hit you for 15-20 seconds to avoid diminishing returns and you can repentance her for a whole minute again.

DS Runeseer and Jarl as often as you can but if you're having trouble breaking his shield in time, focus on Templar's Verdict. Killing that shield and interrupting him with some time to spare is key here as you never know if you're gonna have to spend some of that time avoiding Val'kyr.

Keep putting Sigryn to sleep when you can (Away from Runeseer), Kill Runeseer's shield as fast as possible, avoid Val'kyr and keep healing yourself with FoL and you'll win game.
Don't forgot to pop Crusader when it falls off CD and if your fight lasts long like mine, remember your drums. Pop both at the same time for max DPS and serious damage.

My biggest problem is kiting the Runeseer, kicking her you would assume would make it easy but the silence component doesn't work and she immediately continues to cast and is difficult to kite out of the green crap that inevitably fills up the room. Additionally there is a lot of RNG, you can have really bad luck. The animation of the Dark Val'kyr Wings is difficult to see at times and sometimes you have to destroy a shield, stand in green !@#$ and avoid the wings. It's very tough to mitigate, especially towards the end.

All in all I think it's a bit over tuned, especially towards the end where the Runeseer SPAMS the shield every 5 seconds. It's rough.

Please make this a tad more enjoyable by either lowering the health or preventing so many overlapping abilities. One could argue this adds to the challenge, but it also adds to the frustration since it's entirely random to an extent.

Finished as 890 Ret; I normally run Sephuz/Liadrin's for Legenderies but picked up Prydaz. I ran FV, FoJ, Repentance, JV, DI, and DP for talents - honestly, I don't get why people struggle with this challenge. Completed it on my second try, keep Sigryn repentanced and DPS the other two - avoid Valkyr and gg. The bubble that Runeseer gets benefits from the shared health pool, meaning you can cleave him and Jarl to break it without needing Avenging Wrath each time.

I kept Sigryn repentanced for a minute, then thirty seconds, then let the DR fall off before doing it again - this prevented all Blood casts. Cleave the other two, don't get hit by Valkyr and gg.

I just completed this as an enhancement shaman, ilvl 896. My weapon is at rank 49. I ended up running Hot Hand/Rainfall/Earth Grab Totem/Ancestral Switftness/Tempest/Crashing Storm/Landslide.

For legendaries, I used Spiritual Journey and Sephuz's Secret - sadly, I didn't have any healing legendaries to work with.

Macros I used were:

Strategy-wise, what worked for me was to initially fight Sigryn and the Runeseer together, and root/slow/kite Jarl when he did his first Berserker's Rage. Then I hexed Sigryn, and switched to Jarl and Runeseer. Basically, I tried to give Sigryn as much time as possible outside of hex, so that every time I re-hexed her, she had no DR.

I got a really lucky string of val'kyr placements, which I'm sure was very helpful, in the second half of the fight.

I also did my best to try and fight on the edge of the middle circle, so that runes were easy to get to, and a lot of times I instantly removed one just by being on top of it at spawn.

Occasionally, when all three were up, I also rooted them and went to the far side of the room and healed up, and gave cooldowns some time to come up (Astral Shift, Hex DR, etc).

As some others have said, you really just need to make it through several cycles of boss abilities, and then all you're dealing with is the shield and val'kyrs.

For consumables, I used a stamina flask and a defiled augment rune. I had been using mastery food, but ran out just before the attempt where I won. I also paired Doom Winds with Potions of Prolonged Power.

In the end, the fight lasted just over 11 minutes, and I was at about 450k dps. I probably made around 40-50 attempts, total.

I hope this is helpful for someone! Don't give up! I definitely didn't think it was possible for me at first, especially without healing legendaries, but just keep at it, and play conservative! It's definitely not a DPS race.

I swear, when Blizzard made this, it's very obvious they never did this themselves. Arcane mages can't do it by any means, as you take 700k damage per auto attack, and even with ilvl 910, it's just not doable.

I managed to do this as an 892 assasination rogue yesterday after about 6 attempts. I did do this on my ret pala main, although much better geared, so I had some practice. No NH set pieces, no flasks, pots or drums. Did use runes though thanks to having some spare ones. Had Will of Valeera and Duskwalker's Footpads. I'm not great at details, but as far as I can say, Leeching Poison carried me through this encounter. The amount of healing it did kept me alive and Will was mostly used to top off or as emergency along with Crimson Vial.

First part of the fight was spent avoiding and dealing with their heavy hitting abilities as usual, blinding Sigryn, stunning Jarl Velbrand when he did his whirlwind abilty and focusing Runeseer Faljar whenever he cast his Ancestral Knowledge.

Once Sigryn and Velbrand stopped doing their abilites I just rounded all 3 of them up and started FoK'ing them, applying Rupture to them all and that was the fight for me for the longest time. Thanks to the legendary boots and the new golden trait from assasination, I was able to have some sort of high damage burst ready for whenever Faljar would start casting. This was the main stress part of the encounter for me, since he basically use it every 30-40 seconds from that point on.

But I managed to do it to my own surprise and that of my guildmates. Gotta admit that I'm fairly proud of this accomplishment.

Although there's already a great number of posts with a lot of very good information, I figured adding my two cents couldn't hurt :)

As RET paladin:

-I kept Sigryn under repentence for most of the fight. Whenever she was not under repentence I tried to make sure that I had Crusade up and aoe'd the three of them at the same time, then whenever crusade was down I used repentence again.

-When Sigryn got to about 50% (this might just have been my experience, I have no idea if this is correct or I was just lucky) the runes stopped spawning and the fight turned to killing the shielded guys shield whilst avoiding the Val'kyr charges. Thusly I adapted my playstyle around it, never using Crusade unless a shield was up AND I KNEW I COULDN'T BREAK IT. Meaning that I didn't just pop a Crusade because shield went up, but rather when I felt like the shield required me to pop Crusade. A good rule of thumb for this was: A. the shield had reached around 50% casting time and I hadn't gotten too too much damage on it (you don't need more that 50ish% of the cast time with Crusade up to get the shield down), or B. unlucky Val'kyr placement, in case of which I just popped Crusade whenever suitable. Moreover at this point I stopped using Wake of Ashes on cooldown and instead saved it for when shield was up. This was by far the hardest part of the fight; killing the shield when there was no cd's up. Eventually you just manage to do it. Play it safe with holy power and try to never get below 2 holy power when you are waiting for the shield to come, so that when the shield comes up you can use 2 Templar's Verdict within 3 globals.

-I brought along Potion of Prolonged Power for when the shield started becoming more frequent than my cd's. This is however not required as you will experience at the very least two times in the fight separated by more than 1 minute where you (probably) won't have cd's up but you will have a shield to take down, meaning that it is possible to get the shield down without the potion and it becomes more of a "nice thing to have", but not a requirement to kill the boss.

-Last but not least, do not get downhearted! Going in to this I thought: "Hey, I was once top 4 ret pala world in proving grounds (and would've been top3 had it not been for ONE massive f*up with the f*ing monkey), how hard can this be?" And yet, it took me 30-31 tries to get this son of a gun down. So, gather up a bunch of nethershards in preparation, learn the fight whilst doing it, adapt your playstyle, and before you know it you'll get it! :)

I've done the tideskorn enhancement shaman quest line in full up to where she succumbs to the fel and you have to hand it in to khadgar in dalaran. After this I have not found the queen fury quest. Have I missed something or have another quest to do?

Has anybody tried this recently? Trying it today, and I'm getting almost constant rune spawns after the first minute or two of the fight. All the videos i've watched, there's a good bit of time between rune spawns, but i'm getting spawn after spawn after spawn, way more than what I'm seeing in videos of people that have done it in the past. I can't keep up with the dang runes, and when I do somehow manage to, i can't do anything to the bosses because i'm constantly running around getting runes. Anybody else trying it today (2017-10-01) in 7.3 and having similar issues?

I'm not sure if I'm just getting really unlucky with the mechanics or if it's really designed to overwhelm you completely - I could get the runes spawn three times in a row (sometimes mere seconds after each other so that there inevitably were two sets of runes on the floor), or get the Val'kyr wall at the same time as runes/bladestorm/ancestral knowledge, etc. Even though I can handle the mechanics fine on their own (two at a time is no problem either), it all just falls apart when too many of them happen at a time.

This is an insane fight. I've tried numerous times and I get killed about a minute into things. I've rearranged my talents, fully buff myself up and still get killed. This is on par with the DPS quest for the Legendary cape from MOP. If several specs have to do this same quest then you should be able to team up. Only fair since they are pitting 3 enemies against who have very high health. Obviously Blizzard doesn't run their own quests to test them for frustration factor. Guess I won't have my Artifact weapon for X-mog next expansion.

I was scared of this fight before I even tried it as Assassin, and was actually surprised to see how easy it is. Took me just 3 attempts, 2 of which I spent forgetting to manage the mechanics. Think I will try it as Enh/Retri as well.

So, a few of my insights, hope it helps you too!

1. Overgear is a massive help here, due to most mechanics being very forgiving. With 930 and above, you will essentially bruteforce it (even a scrub like me got it so easily on 939). You can still die from the most deadly stuff, but overall it will be a fun fight!

2. Consumables are optional here. This is probably the only challenge that does NOT require you to have Hero/Drums and potions, or even food. Since there is no enrage timer and only one and a half phase, you are much better off taking your time and doing it safely.

3. This is not a DPS race! Unlike every other challenge, where you must be able to deal X damage in Y time before you are screwed, here you are cool with your regular damage. The whole fight in 935 will take about 4-5 minutes with no hectic phases.

4. Guides go into great detail about the mechanics, but there are only 3 you need to worry about:
- Runes. The only thing that can and will kill you. Use your Sprint when they spawn, if you have it off cooldown. If you feel that the last rune will go off, pop Feint. In critical situations, have a Cloak of Shadows ready.
- Spear. The only reason you need to kite. There is, however, a single important note about it. See entry 7.
- Father. That's the one you need to fear most. Save your Blind for this one, as you can live through anything else, but not this one, no matter how good you are.

Mechanics that you need to keep in mind, but do NOT need to worry about:
- Berserk. Yes, that CAN kill you... Problem for the Jarl is, they can't kill what they can't hit. Just use Evasion when Berserk is up and don't bother moving. He will be hitting the thin air in powerless anger.
- Ancestral Knowledge. It gives you more than enough time to deal damage, break the shield, and interrupt. If your DPS is any good, you will break it one-handed from scratch. It may be a good idea to use Vendetta + Kingsbane for extra energy for Mutilates.
- Dark Wings. Feint and smile. Even if you don't, there will be enough time to reposition, unless Runes happen at the same time.
- Bladestorm. Run out of it. Don't bother with CC, just step out of it and wave him with your hand.

5. Feint is your biggest friend here. This is mostly due to 90% of all damage being area-of-effect. With good gear, you can survive any single hit while under Feint and above half life.

Blind should be saved and only used for Father's Wrath. I suggest you make a macro:
/target Sigryn
/cast Blind
/target Runeseer

6. Leeching Poison is the way to go. Unless you like to play hardcore and want to attempt it with ilvl 910 or lower, Crippling Poison will not be needed, as you can just stand under melee attacks and smile.

7. Kiting the Spear is important. You can survive quite some time in the pools of fel, and you will have to (when you need to break Runeseer's shield while he's hiding amidst these). However, you MUST always kite Sigryn at the edge of the platform, and ONLY go to middle to step on runes/pick the globe. Even to avoid Dark Wings, hug the wall. If you step into middle and she hurls a spear at you, you will get a pool of fel on your way to the runes. Get 3-5 of these in the middle and you will die the next time you go for a rune-stomping walk.

8. Fan of Knives works surprisingly well here, especially if you have the legendary cloak. This is because you can reliably hit all 3 enemies with it. Due to their shared health, they will take triple damage from it this way, and this will help you keep Deadly Poison on all of them non-stop.

Obviously, you don't do that while Sigryn is blinded.

9. Try to put your Rupture on 2 or even all 3 targets. Due to shared life, it works wonders.

10. Of all 3 targets, it is best to focus Runeseer at all times. He is your only priority target, and you want him to be close to you. If he ends up standing in a fel pool from Spear (he loves those pools), Kick him and get him out.

11. Once Jarl is dead, the battle is basically won. Just DPS the Runeseer until he has 21 M left, and it will end. The only way to die at that point is to stand in pools for prolonged time. However, if you ignored the advice to kite at the edge and contaminated the area, you may find this part somewhat of a challenge.

Completing this as Enhancement and Retribution proved only slightly harder than Assassin, mostly due to your healing shifting from passive (Leeching Poison) to active. Most things from the previous comment still apply, with the exception of:

1. Paladin has a VERY hard time stomping on runes because the cooldown of your Divine Steed is longer than the cooldown of Runes. Because of that, the best course of action is to put Sygrin under Repentance after you stomp the Runes and until Divine Steed is recharged, and then go to the middle of the room.

And yes, Repentance is mandatory.

2. Do not use trinkets, food etc. that gives a chance to fire a missile or deal ANY kind of damage without your direct action. Yes, Fabricator, I am looking at you. This can break your Repentance/Hex during Blood of the Father, which is an almost guaranteed wipe.

3. Unlike Rogue, Paladin and Shaman have no permanent damage reduction here. As such, Dark Wings become a higher priority, so, as in Entry 1, when you control Sygrin, take it to the middle, from where it's easiest to dodge it.

4. Healing is uber important. As a Shaman, you can just spam your Healing Surge for instant casts, and always put Rainfall underneath you - this alone will keep you alive 90% of the time. As a Paladin, you will have to improvise, as with using your periods of rest (Repentance) to spam heals or hunt orbs.

5. To run for Runes as a Shaman, use Ghost Wolf. Not only will it give speed, but it will also generate Maelstrom at huge rate. Spirit Walk is best saved for Berserk / Bladestorm.

6. Sephuz is super awesome here due to on-demand burst of speed when you use CC (which just happens to be during the most dangerous moments).

7. Dealing with Berserk / Bladestorm is a bit trickier than for Rogue, but still a good one. Thunder Totem / Hammer of Justice (stuns) are good, but slow + run away works better. A Paladin can also use Blessing of Protection once.

8. Best moment for potions, drums etc. is later in the fight, when you start getting Dark Wings, not before. This will help you stay alive during what is probably the hardest part of combat (Dark Wings, Runes, Spear and Berserk / Bladestorm coming at you all at the same time). If you use it at pull, you will just waste it because you will have to run for Runes soon anyway.

9. As a Paladin, don't be shy to pump up 5 Holy Power and use your 5-charge healing strike talent. Due to staying alive being more important than dealing damage, this will serve you well. Also remember you have Lay on Hands (one-time heal) and Divine Shield (semi-passive cheat death).

10. If you need to choose what to be hit with (when 3+ attacks happen at the same time), your priority for negating is (from most hurty to least hurty): Blood of the Father, Runes, Berserk, Dark Wings, Bladestorm, Spear. You CAN survive 1-2 if you protect/heal yourself, but not all at once.

Lastly, don't try to Reincarnate after the fight. Sadly, it won't let you cheat death. Quite an oversight from devs :) If you do, just click the Finder icon and choose to teleport out of the instance.

Arcane Mage: Heals? What heals?

A special challenge which is one of the two in the entire game where you are not supposed to heal at all, because your spec does not have anything for it (the other is Frost Mage). As such, even with my 939 overgear, it is still rather hard, and is definitely the hardest one of all Sigryn adventures.

1. For a low-skill player, the only possible talent choice is Mana Shield. De facto it gives you unlimited durability against weaker damage, but cannot protect you from massive spikes. Still, in an encounter with no external healing (Valkyr orbs will stop spawning at about 50%, and these expire very soon) this is mandatory.

You will cast your Barrier every time its capacity is below half of maximum. It is the only "healing" you're gonna get, so you need to accept ALL incoming damage to Barrier.

2. Chrono Shift is a talent most people underestimate, while here it is extremely valuable (to the point of being mandatory). You will periodically cast Arcane Barrage at all times except Ancestral Knowledge (DPS check), not for the damage it deals, but for these speed boosts:
- During Runes, it gives you much-needed speed boost to run to them in time
- During Jarl's specials, both Berserk and Storm, it will let you get the hell away from him
- During Dark Wings, it will let you get to safe position
Of course, all this is coupled with Blink.

3. Hotkey Slow and Frost Nova, and cast them at Sigryn and Jarl any time a new mechanic comes up. Having them slowed/frozen will save you in half of all difficult situations. Always do so, or at least try, when you go for two mechanics at once.

4. Dealing with Ancestral Knowledge is not hard, but requires special procedures. First, get Sigryn and Jarl out of picture (slow/freeze), refresh Barrier, and discharge all Arcane Missiles. If you are not at 4 charges, cast Arcane Orb; Presence of Mind; Mark of Aluneth (if still off cooldown). Arcane Power cooldown, if you use it at pull, will align perfectly with AK.

5. Due to constant running and survival above damage, this fight will reach its "enrage" phase (expect about 8 min total fight duration!). The sequence of ALL mechanics is fixed; they will always happen at the same time, and overlap in the same manner. Eventually, Sigryn will stop casting Blood, focusing on Dark Wings / Spear; Jarl will stop hurling axes / Berserk / Storm and will go melee permanently; and Runeseer will continuously cast Ancestral Knowledge.

Developers likely intended this as a limit, making it harder to beat past the timer; however, in overgear, it actually becomes easier here. You can finally focus on dealing damage, only controlling Sigryn with Polymorph as much as possible, while slowing / freezing Jarl. Chain Arcane Blast / Evocation / Mark / Missiles to break through the shield with ease. Only occasionally adjust position to avoid Dark Wings.

6. Evocation is best used after messy mechanic overlaps, after you finally Polymorph Sigryn. Make sure Runes are not coming soon, freeze Jarl, jump and start casting it. You don't need full duration: it actually fills mana faster. At other times, your Mark will save you, and most non-Ancestral damage will come from spells with fixed mana cost: Barrage, Missiles, Mark, Orb.

While kiting and until Nova recharges, you can spam Arcane Explosion. Do it when nothing else is available.

7. Greater Invisibility and Ice Block are your two panic buttons, best saved for messy overlaps later in fight: such as Berserk + Runes, if you can't get to that last one, or Dark Wings + Runes, or (my favorite) Blood + Bladestorm. Later in fight, you can use it to avoid one AKnowledge.

8. This is not a DPS race! Your goal is to survive the middle of the battle with all the mechanics piled on top of each other; after that, you can go wild with damage, but before, you must focus on dodging everything. Use Slow, Chrono Shift (Arcane Barrage), Prismatic Barrier, Blink and Frost Nova - the five spells you need to master. Before you learn how to use them to kite the bosses, no amount of overgear will protect you!

Yes, you do need to execute this perfectly. On average, you can miss about 3 deadly casts before you are dead. Good news is, you can survive it all without taking a real damaging hit even once, so even if you are at 1% health, there is still a chance to win this.

9. Be very careful with Blink near edges, as it can send you over the barrier, resetting the encounter. If it happens, click the dungeon finder icon and teleport out. You can use it in doomed fights too, to save consumables.

10. Don't forget to Polymorph in the last phase. Just because Sigryn does not do Blood anymore does not mean she is harmless. It's easier with Jarl, because by that moment he will be nearly dead.

11. Try to take Berserking Jarl as close to the edge as you can. If you leave him in middle, he will block the Runes, and coming close to him is a certain death. Same applies to Jarl when he is about to cast Bladestorm.

Unlike melee classes, you don't give a damn about where Sigryn throws her spears, though, as you will never stand in one spot for a long time anyway.

12. Conserve mana. Your main mana expense is protection: the worse your dodging is, the more mana the Barrier will consume. Only use 4-charge Arcane Blast during the Ancestral Knowledge.

13. Do not Evocate near Sigryn. She will gladly use Advance and interrupt you by kicking you away.

14. Best use for potion and Time Warp is at the pull: this is the longest uninterrupted damage window you will get in the whole fight. Try to stand away from the bosses, because the first special mechanic will be Berserk.

15. As proposed by ZBaboon, a perfect idea: Celumbra (crafted legendary pauldrons). It provides a passive much-needed healing.

This challenge seems very hard, but it actually is just unforgiving in terms of healing back from missed mechanics. Take it slow, easy and tactically, methodically dodging everything and relying on damage you do as you move.

Just did this on my 935 arcane mage with Celumbra, the Night's Dichotomy and Sephuz's Secret .
The crafted legendary is actually decent for the challenge because of the damage reduction and movement speed while spamming arcane explosion, plus the heal while kiting. As for talents, I took Slipstream and Incanter's Flow to DPS on the move.

Demonology Warlock: It's Raining Imps! Hallelujah!

Was 942 at that time, it was my last Sigryn challenge, and I didn't play a single day before that in Legion as that spec. What did I learn from doing it:

1. Unlike other classes, you need to be very focused during damage bursts here. That is because your pet damage is very steady, and to actually create a burst for Ancestral Knowledge, you will need to:
- Collect 5 Soul Shards
- Discharge them as Hand of Gul'dan on the Runeseer
- Summon Dreadstalkers
- Turn on Demonic Empowerment
- Channel Demonwrath
- If that was not enough, use Thak'Tiel's Visage (save it for this occasion)
- Interrupt
- PROFIT

Implosion is a simpler alternative, but it involves some risks, I avoided it.

This is compensated by your damage being mostly passive at all other times. Just keep summoning a Hand on top of Runeseer when at 4+ Shards and apply Doom to all 3 targets while kiting.

2. Why focus Runeseer? Because he is the only immobile target, therefore raining imps on him is a guarantee that Demonwrath will reliably hit him.

3. Doomguard is your pet of choice (with Grimoire of Supremacy). It gives a lot of passive damage, applies Cripple (which is the best tool in game against Jarl and his Berserk) and can interrupt Runeseer. Does not get any better than that.

To save Cripple for when it's needed, put it off auto-cast, and add to your (not pet!) action bar.

4. Demon Skin + Drain Life is a very potent combo that allows you to heal from almost any damage you take. Whenever anything goes wrong, just use that, and you'll be fine. Therefore at high gear levels this is a very forgiving challenge.

For extreme cases you got Healthstone + Unending Resolve.

5. Mortal Coil. While you are supposed to control Sigryn with Fear, in actuality, if you cast Mortal Coil while she casts her Blood of the Father (target her in advance, use DBM to know when the cast approaches), she will not even get the buff in the first place.

Of course, you still apply Fear to her with 20+ seconds interval whenever it ends (at least 18 seconds must pass after it ends, for diminishing returns to expire), just so that she does not annoy you, especially in middle phase (when mechanics start to overlap). Don't forget that in the end, after mechanics end, she can still be controlled to make your life easier.

6. Don't take the Hand of Doom talent. It will refresh Doom on every cast, so it will never really go off. Manual application is better: 3 targets, lots of movement, instant cast. Instead, pick either of the two: both work just fine, though Power Trip is MUCH easier to use.

7. Other than that, any talents are viable; I like Soul Conduit so that I may drop more Hands, but Demonbolt is awesome too. This is not a damage race but a kiting fight anyway.

8. Remember that you are SLOW. Your Demon Gate is a one-time toy, so you need to stay in the middle as much as possible, or you will never make it to the runes in time. If you need to run out, return as soon the s possible. In the middle, prepare for a lot of running while your pets do the damage.

Later in fight, when mechanics will be gone, you can finally fully focus on spamming Wild Imps and doing some real damage. Expect this to last about 8 minutes or so.

9. Drums/potion are not required, but if you have trouble chain-breaking Ancestral Knowledge in the last phase, save cooldowns for until then.

Probably one of the most boring challenges out there. Well, at least the skull is nice.

I can only speak from personal experience but reaching the "enrage" as demo lock makes the fight alot easier since you only have to worry about 2 attacks. The Val'kyr wall and the ancestral attack. Both are easy to manage now.

Hardest on arcane mage. I had no shield legendaries. What did help a lot was a healing trait on relic, shield and orb talents. Save orb for breaking runeseer's absorb.

At 940 i one shot it as Ret pala without any consumables. I have done it a few months before on my rogue so i knew the fight but it was very easy.

Just did this last night as 915 pally.

1. The guides are incorrect. Do NOT do challenge with Repentance, use , focus Sigryn and make a macro to cast Hammer of Justice at focus:

2. Let the Jarl spinnig ability be, just run a few feet away to stay alive

4. Always run for the smallest rune first
5. Avoiding Valkyres is more important then stepping runes
6. Use Divine Storm as a spender to cleave more DPS throughout the fight
7. When Sygrin stops Empowering self (Call it phase two), target Runeseer to be ready to break through his shield, and keep Judgment for that case
8. Come close to Runeseer and make small steps to kite him outside green ooze, otherwise he stays in place
9. You can use if have trouble breaking Runeseer shield while running around avoiding Valkyres

As of 13.6.2018, Blood of the Father seems to be bugged at least as Arcane mage. Polymorphing the cast does not interrupt it.

Has this been removed from the game? I've done the quests with Sigryn leading up to the return to Khadgar to inquire about a portal. There the quest chain ends for me. I have started the Broken Shore quests, but have not yet finished the Legionfall Campaign, if that makes a difference.
