Just got this quest and was amazed to see that they are actually 4 day missions... So no relic for me in a bit.

Unfortunately this is going to roadblock a lot of warriors looking to complete their Class Order Hall. Three ~~2 day~~ 1 day missions (assuming you counter them) that must be completed in sequence. By the time this mission is even available, other classes have acquired their third artifact slot, yet warriors will be waiting another minimum ~~five~~ two and a half days.

Edit: Rejoice! The mission times have been halved, though warriors still finish their order hall campaign slowest out of all classes. Cutting out 3 days of mission time is still quite welcome to Warriors who have yet to complete these.

I have this quest and it is a 6 day duration. Idk where tf people are getting 4 days and the countering to 2. 6 days with the counter. Meanwhile other classes have their third slot.

Please note that one of the three missions(Last Chance) requires Hymdall to take part and by this time you already have two inactive Champions which might be him. I suggest you do not activate and deactivate champions during this quest so you can activate whoever you might need.

Using the tier 2 skill that reduces the duration of missions, I just took "Investigate Felsoul Hold" and it's duration is 20 hours.

If that holds for the other two, either the missions' duration was hotfixed to be shorter or there's something else at work.

Investigate Felsoul Hold
Preparing Our Arrival
Last Chance

Each 2 days, but reduced to 1 day with full counters, and additional potential 20% from order hall tech.

Hey all!

Quick note, "Last Chance" mission requires Arms, Whirlwind, and Heroic Leap abilities as well as Hymdall. He doesn't need to be 108 though. I reactivated him at 105 once I got the the mission and success rate was still 118% As long as your other 2 are high enough and counter the 3 enemies, you're safe.

I had Thorim and Ragnvald at 110 on this mission and them 2 alone countered everything and put the mission success rate over 100%, my 105 Hymdall was just there for the ride.

A couple of notes about this quest:

If your Thorim has reached Uncommon status (green), he gets 100% outright on the first two missions, so you can just send him and be done with it. Note though that the second mission has a Slowing threat, so you should add someone with Whirlwind to make the mission last the standard 1-day duration.

Specifically for the second mission, you can also use Ragnvald and a troop of your choice. The reason for that is, that Ragnvald counters both the Boss and the Slowing threat. The remaining threat is Cursed, which means no bonus loot. But these missions do not give bonus loot anyway (or at least they don't show it) so you don't have to actually account for this one.

Anyone know which quests do I need to complete in order to get this quest? I have seemingly completed all other quests other than the Will of the Valarjar and the final one. Do I really need to do all 30 world quests BEFORE I get to unlock the long follower missions? This is different from priest campaign atleast where you get both the long follower missions as well as 30 world quests one.

Edit: Apparently it is different for warriors. You have to complete the 30 world quests before getting Capturing the Gateway

In 7.1 the required time is only 8 hours per mission, with 3 missions. Should be doable within a single day now. However, it's broken for me, somehow I did the 1st & 3rd mission, but the second one doesn't appear for me.

A few days ago I completed the first two missions "Investigate Felsoul Hold" and "Preparing our Arrival". As soon as I completed the second mission the quest disappeared - I did not abandon it. The quest was available again from Odyn so I took it. I turned in a ticket to Blizz and they responded that they were too busy to look into it and determined that it was answered. So now the third mission "Last Chance" became available and I've completed it but the first two still need to be completed - again. I reopened the ticket with Blizz and am waiting.

Anyone else have this issue?

So, I'm completing this in 2021 in Shadowlands 9.1 to get the Battle Lord title - so I'm having to fumble my way around to get it all working...

Firstly, to get to the Capturing the Gateway quest it would appear that you HAVE to complete Demonic Runes and Will of the Valarjar naturally being level 60 and 239ilvl they took next to no time at all. Once you have done that you need to complete Black Rook Hold: Greater Power Black Rook Hold: Greater Power. This bugged out for me a few times but I will place a comment on that quest with how I went around fixing it.

The timings for the missions have been drastically reduced

Investigate Felsoul Hold was 1hr in length.

Preparing Our Arrival was also 1hr in length.

Last Chance was also 1hr in length.

The same as previous Hymdall Hymdall is required to complete.

As of Shadowlands patch 9.1.5, each mission has been reduced to 1 hour each. They are still consecutive though, meaning you cannot do them all at once, only one at a time. So total of three hours for all of them :)
