I have this quest on my worgen druid and am very confused about it..... so i have to wait until the emerald nightmare raid is released to complete this?

BEWARE DRUIDS! If you go into the emerald nightmare thinking that you're going to knock this quest out of the way think again! I have read several cases now where we are not given credit for the quest once we have killed Xavius! I would wait before spending hours of head bashing wipes until they fix it :)

Just spoke to a GM about this quest being bugged, it is confirmed that it does not give credit and they are currently looking for a fix to this bug. The GM I spoke with said that he could not manually complete the quest for me for whatever reason and that there should be a fix out soon. He also said he did not know if it will auto complete when the fix comes out and that if it doesn't that you can simply contact them and they should be able to complete it then. Lastly, he said to keep an eye of twitter (@BlizzardCS) because that is where it will be announced when the hotfix happens.

I also didn't get credit for this today. Put in a ticket, but after reading the first comment here, it's looking pretty grim that they'll be able to fix it immediately for me :(

Thank you for contacting us in regards to not getting Xavius kill credit for the quest, The Stuff of Dreams.

Fortunately, we have resolved the issue that was causing the quest to not complete properly! Our Game Masters are not able to provide credit for the quest but rest assured you can get credit trying again next week after raid resets. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding."

This was the response I got from Blizzard when putting in a ticket for not getting the kill credit, so it seems to be fixed.

Being able to complete this quest may have been resolved in a hotfix, as today I did get credit for killing Xavius.
I wasn't offered a follow-up after completing it.

Really don't follow the line of thinking for this quest...

"Druid! Head to the emerald nightmare. There you must defeat the lord of corruption who has killed millions and corrupted Gods and entire Worlds!"

"Sorry, fresh out of rewards for you, but I have 58 gold in my pocket you can have."

This isn't required for the title Archdruid. I'm curious, what is it really for, why is it in the Druid campaign along with Halls of Valor: Essence of Ferocity? The rewards are low, almost pathetic for what you have to do for them, 58 and 38 gold respectively. In my opinion anyway, they're not worth doing.

Enter the Emerald Nightmare raid on any difficulty and defeat Lord Xavius.

Description

The Lord of Nightmare, Xavius, is still out there. Cenarius is still in grave danger, deep within the Rift of Aln.

Summon your greatest allies, <name>. If we are to stare into the face of the Nightmare, we had best be ready.

Once you are ready, enter the Emerald Nightmare and defeat all the horrors you find there.
